I stayed at Nowton for six weeks respite care. It is a lovely old building set in wooded area, very peaceful. Staff go out of their way to help but it is not a care home as such and one needs to be aware of the actual services provided. Care services such as help with bathing or mobility issues
are contracted by you with an independent care company. The manager Sam goes out of her way to assist and deal with any problems.

My mum has been a resident of Nowton Village for nearly a year now. I cannot recommend and thank all the staff enough for the care, attention and warmth they have shown and continue to show. Mum is well and truly part of the Nowton family now and alongside the wonderful staff the facilities are just
beautiful. Mum living at Nowton is such a comfort to us as her children, knowing she is safe especially after some challenging medical episodes. Thank you so much.

My mum stays at Nowton Court Village for respite care and I am very pleased with the experience.
At 94 and living with Alzheimer's, it's so important that she feels safe, comfortable and well cared for by the staff.
The team are kind, patient and attentive, treating her with dignity and compassion.
The
home is clean, calm and welcoming and the residents wellbeing is top priority.
Knowing that mum is well cared for gives me great peace of mind.

All my mother ever says is "I am so happy here!" which speaks volumes.
It is a beautiful home filled with caring staff. Knowing she is safe and being looked after so well is such a relief for my sister and I. We cannot recommend Nowton Court more highly!

My Mother could not be more settled living at Nowton Court - a beautiful building set in old park land. The service provided by the members of staff is second to none; their warmth, humour and energy is commendable. It is a genuinely caring environment with a commitment to the welfare and happiness
of the residents that is second to none.
Reply from Sam Dacey, Manager at Nowton Court VillageWe love having Mum stay with us and having you both as part of our family.

I can't speak highly enough of the team at Nowton Court. My father regularly stays for respite care, and the peace of mind it gives me is invaluable. From the moment he arrives, he is welcomed warmly by friendly, approachable staff who genuinely care and take the time to get to know him.
He truly
enjoys his stays, which says everything. The food is excellent and always something he looks forward to, and there is a real sense of comfort and routine that helps him feel at home.
Knowing that he is safe, comfortable and well looked after allows me to step away without any concerns, which is something I don't take for granted. He always returns relaxed, happy and well cared for.
Nowton Court provides not just excellent care, but also a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and their families. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they do.
Reply from Sam Dacey, Manager at Nowton Court VillageThank you Ian. We love having Dad with us. He's such a gentleman.

The staff at Nowton Court have the best interests of my mum at heart. At the beginning of the year mum had a serious infection and was hospitalised for nearly 3 weeks. At all stages of this illness, the Manager acted professionally and swiftly to assess the situation and call in medical assistance
at the right time. She assessed the severity of mum's condition immediately and acted quickly. On return from hospital, Mum was very confused but she made a quick recovery and transitioned smoothly into her old routines with the help of all the staff.

I spent a week at Nowton convalescing after a hip replacement. The team was excellent in helping me adjust to life after hospital and went the extra mile to meet my needs to be comfortable. The manager was particularly helpful in sorting out specific needs and transportation. I found food, room, comfort,
and the other residents a relaxing experience that allowed me to concentrate on rehab.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Nowton Court for either long - or short-term stays, as I am sure you will get excellent service and be looked after, in a world where that is in short supply.
Reply from Sam Dacey, House Manager at Nowton Court VillageIt was an absolute pleasure having you on board. We look forward to seeing you both for Christmas lunch!

A very enjoyable two weeks were spent at Nowton Court Village. Very good company, comfortable conditions in all rooms. The idea of the stay was to give me an experience of communal living now I am 88 years old. Will most definitely be back.

My mother has been receiving respite care at Nowton Court now for five weeks and I cannot fault any aspect of the care she has received. The rooms are lovely, as is the building, and the setting, on the edge of a local park, could not be better. The staff are so helpful and attentive and clearly very
well supported by the manager, who has many years experience in the job. The care and attention my mother has received have been very much focussed on her particular needs and has enabled her to make good progress with her return to mobility (which was very poor when she arrived there), has ensured that she is eating well again (the food is wonderful!) and she is joining in with activities and socialising, which is lovely to see. I feel it important to stress that the support and assistance have also been very forthcoming to me as I have had many questions, which have always been patiently and very helpfully dealt with. An excellent place.
Reply from Rosemary Lawson, Manager at Nowton Court VillageThank you for your kind words. It is an absolute pleasure supporting your mother and seeing how far she has improved, since her arrival.

I came to Newton Court for respite, following surgery. The kindness, care and consideration has been exemplary from all staff at every level. Nothing is too much trouble or treated as insignificant. The food is of good quality, varied and so tasty. I have looked forward to every mealtime and never been
disappointed. The country house feeling of the lovely building is retained and is relaxing and conducive to recovery, with activities to take advantage of or not. A wonderful place to be.

My stay at Nowton Court Village for respite care has been a wonderful experience. The kindness and care from all members of staff have been exemplary. Your manager, most especially, even went beyond the call of duty by collecting me from the hospital on her weekend leave. The food is on par with any
first-class restaurant and the accommodation is superb.

Excellent service very friendly staff and efficient. Nice to meet the full-time residents. Just feels like home. The chef came to my mother and me as I can only eat certain foods.

I am nearly at the end of my third stay at Nowton Court since early 2019. Following a fall in which I sustained pulled muscles etc, in a thigh which I fractured last year, as well as a fractured wrist, I needed a period of recuperation. Once again I enjoyed a most beneficial stay, with the opportunity
to have a complete rest being of great benefit to my legs recovery. Despite the extra restrictions imposed by the Covid pandemic (staff face masks, no visitors etc.) the staff were most caring and solicitous - the accommodation very comfortable, the meals varied and plentiful and the overall standards have been maintained at a very high level. I can wholeheartedly recommend Nowton Court to anyone who asks me.

Nowton Court is an impressive and welcoming facility, in beautiful grounds. It can feel like a hotel, with many beautiful public rooms, especially the bright and airy dining room.
Staff are all very good, from the catering to housekeeping, to the concierges, all offer great care and support. The manager
obviously cares genuinely about residents and was always responsive when contacted.
My mother left after 10 months only because she needed more personal care and we found a place where she could have her own small garden.
