Astley Hall was acquired by a small local group, Heritage Manor, in May 2012 and underwent an internal refurbishment of the Grade II listed building and its gardens. The most recent refurbishment of the lounge and dining areas was in 2024.
Set in a country house with wonderful views out over the valley, Astley Hall provides nursing and residential care, and there is a dedicated part of the building to look after those people with dementia.
The team provides homely care which promotes independence at every opportunity, in accordance with the aims of the Worcestershire dementia standard for care; this is care that does not impede upon residents' chances of building a satisfying day-to-day lifestyle, in a calm and welcoming social atmosphere.

Astley Hall has provided an excellent home for my aunt for the last twenty-one months. Her life has been undoubtedly extended by all the excellent care and attention she has received. She always looks a credit to the staff who colour coordinate her clothes and arrange for her hair care.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Astley Hall Care Home Stourport-On-Severn about 3 to 4 years now and in that time we have had no concerns about her care. She is kept very clean and tidy although she is now bedridden her hair and nails are still kept clean and cut and her room is always nice...
The food is good and varied and looks tasty. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful when needed.
Mother-in-law always greets the carers with a smile although she has dementia and can not really recognise many people she seems pleased to see them.one thing that is very noticeable you DO NOT get the nasty toilet smell as you walk through the main doors like you can in some care homes!!
Thank you, Jayne, for your review.

My mum has been at Astley Hall Care home since February 2017. I would highly recommend Astley Hall. It's the last place you want your parent to land up but I can honestly say with hand on heart that the staff and the care they provide is to a high standard. I know my mum is being looked after 24/7 which puts my mind at ease. The staff there deserve every penny they earn, so kind, loving and considerate. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone that needs their loved ones looked after. I would give them 10 out of 10 for everything they do.
Thank you, Melanie, for such a fantastic review. Our staff work extremely hard to achieve this, your comments are greatly appreciated.
When looking in the area for a home for my mother I felt that everything felt right about Astley Hall. In the year that she has been there, she has become very calm and relaxed and I feel this is down to the excellent staff who really get on with all the residents and go out of their way to care...
The home is clean and secure and has a nice friendly feel to it, I have visited my mother at various times of the day and have always found the staff to be welcoming and looking after everyone, I have never found anything that I was not happy with.
Thank you, Rob, for your very kind comments, we strive to provide the very best for our residents and their families.

My mother came to Astley Hall after she was discharged from hospital after breaking her hip. She had dementia and the whole experience was upsetting and stressful for her. I have to say she was put at ease straight away by the thoughtful and caring staff. We turn up at all times to see the everyday running of the home. There is nothing I can complain about. The staff are so caring nothing is too much trouble. The activities are excellent and encourage residents to join in, especially the singing. The improvements in my mother are really noticeable. Sometimes they are very busy but still, they do the very best.
Thank you for your lovely comments. We always strive to make residents and their families feel at home.

Their willingness to go the extra mile is fantastic. Interaction is excellent. The food is of a high standard and the staff are always willing to go and prepare other foods to entice my mother to eat if she doesn't like the main menu. I am always made to feel welcome. I am always kept updated on my mother's progress and health.
Thank you Patrick for the exceptional review, we always aim to please. We are so pleased that Mother has settled well.

Dad spent the last 3 years of his life at Astley Hall and died there this week. The home is a lovely old building with ongoing upgrades, but disruption to residents during essential work has been kept to a minimum. The general feel of the home is that it is clean, caring and friendly. Throughout his stay Dad has been well cared for by all the staff who got to know him well. He was always clean and shaved when we visited (unless he didn't want to be, and his wishes had been respected!) The end of life care he received was excellent and the care shown to us as a family by all the staff was faultless. Thank you.
Thank you Sue for you very kind words, we will always strive to do our best for our Residents, their families and friends.
The carers need more time, are always short of staff and cannot spend at time with people. They do their best. No complaints. Very barely see doctor, but nurse here all the time.

We provide a warm and friendly environment, with all of us actively engaging with residents whom we love to work with and often include them in our duties.
