We had a very positive experience with you and are so pleased with all the help, encouragement and information we received. This has enabled us to cope with my husband's death with a confidence we would not have had. Our heartfelt thanks and good wishes to all involved.
Lovely care home and the staff were always happy and helpful. When my mom was there, care was really good. When Mom was on end-of-life care, they looked after her and us, as a family, really well.
Can't fault it.
My mom had recently received dementia and end of life care at Herons Park Nursing home. All the staff were professional, compassionate, respectful and just completely amazing in the care they had shown my mom and my family while visiting. Nothing was too much trouble. We were allowed to come and go any time we liked and my mom could not have received any better care. She was kept spotlessly clean and comfortable and you could clearly see all protocols were put in place to keep her feeling safe and at the end as comfortable as possible. End of life care was explained to us as each step was taken to keep mom out of pain and comfortable. Inside the home is spotless and Mom's room was a very good size and we could take in things from home to make it feel comfortable and familiar. Herons Park was a happy vibrant place to visit and it has made what was such a very difficult time more bearable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you are all angels.
I immediately felt very well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly and gave me the support I needed and the confidence to become more mobile in a safe environment.
I approached Herons Park on a recommendation from someone. It didn't fail to provide exactly what was needed. She was well looked after, with good attention to detail, good meals and nursing care. When the end came, the nursing care was exemplary, and I was kept in touch in the days leading up to it. Very impressed.
Staff friendly, pleasant always ready for help. Very compassionate and they treated my wife with dignity as she was dying.
Since admission Mum has been treated with respect as an individual and dignity with support from staff allowing her to be as independent as conditions allow. Each day her choice of food which she enjoys. as her relatives, my brothers and all the family are made welcome. From management to all the staff, I could not wish for Mum to be in a better home, she is happy. So we are too.
Mum lived at Herons Park for 4 years, initially in the dementia unit and later in the nursing unit when her needs changed. Mum was a resident during lockdown and not being able to see her really worried me. I needn't have. Staff were fantastic and Mum was very well looked after. I never felt questions regarding Mum's health or care were not welcomed. The home had regular visits from the local doctor's surgery so there was no need to transport her for appointments. There was even eye care and podiatry available plus a hairdresser. When Mum was passing, the staff were so supportive and really looked after us.
We found the staff to be friendly and caring. My mother has been very well looked after. Visits to the home were a pleasure, and a lot of that was because of the staff's positive attitude.
I have been visiting my partner for six weeks and found Herons Park Nursing and all staff impeccable care to my partner.
The room was pleasant and the furniture moved around to how my friend wanted it. The food was good although sometimes the fresh water or juice was not bought in very often. He was kept very clean and comfortable.
Compared to other care homes we have visited in the past Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit rated very highly. The care and attention all staff gave our relatives was superb at all times. So patient and kind. Thanks again to everyone.
From her own comments, those of my sister who visited several times a week and from my own visits Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit provided first-class care thoroughly. My mum looked forward to her meals, and my own experience with the food was excellent.
The standard of care was excellent and the care and attention as she neared the end could not have been better.
We were always impressed by the friendliness and patience of all the staff and their willingness to help whatever the request.
During her illness, the kindness and care she received were excellent, and we were kept fully informed of what was happening to her, with opportunities given for us to spend time with her as the need arose. As her condition gradually deteriorated the staff prepared us, her family, well and sensitively with what to expect as the situation progressed. This was so much appreciated. Thank you.
Through her final few days, even considering the limitations imposed by Covid, they did their utmost to let us spend time with Mum and as well as caring for her, they help all of us, her children through the most difficult time too. In addition during the long visits with Mum at that time, their thoughtfulness in providing us with refreshments were so much appreciated and so helpful.
My seriously ill father joined the nursing home in May 2021 and died in November 2021. For the whole time, he received exceptional care, both in terms of health and general well-being. All the staff who met him were caring, courteous and took time to get to know him; he was a valued individual. Also, it was clear that the ethos of the home was to listen to patients and to ensure continued communication with the family. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole family will be eternally grateful to the staff of Herons Park Nursing Home.
I recently spent 2 weeks respite at Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit. It was my first time in respite and I was understandably anxious about how it would be. I am delighted to say that from the moment I arrived I felt very well cared for by all staff from the managing staff downwards. There was a very high standard of patient care. Despite having advanced Parkinsons and many other problems I was able to enjoy my stay and really appreciated the time the staff spent with me and the other residents. I will certainly be returning, the food was excellent. thank you to the lovely staff.
My mother was a resident at Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit for over four years. She was very happy and the care which she received was of the highest order. The home is scrupulously clean, well run, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
The healthcare staff go above and beyond to take care of residents' wants or needs. My mother is comfortable and extremely well looked after; I have no concerns about the care she is receiving.
Nurses are on duty 24/7 who take a very proactive role when someone is unwell. We get an immediate phone call and follow up calls to keep us fully informed. If I call to inquire about my mother, whoever I speak with will take the time to give a thorough explanation and encourage me to call anytime if I have a concern.
Recently - starting after the first Covid lockdown last year - I had some wifi communication issues with my mother. The staff really went the extra mile to solve the issue and everyone is always very helpful and very responsive.
My husband was admitted to Herons Park after a hospital stay after a fall. He was happy, comfortable and nursed extremely well. He was very impressed with the food and he loved the carers. Unfortunately his health deteriorated and he was deemed end of life. His cancer and dementia took over. He was cared for by the nurses and carers outstandingly, nothing was too much trouble for him or us as his family, we are very grateful to all at the home.
