I am extremely pleased that I chose Hollyfields to care for my Mum. She is treated with kindness, dignity and respect by all members of staff. She now requires a higher level of nursing care and in my opinion, the nursing team are exceptional. Every member of staff are always willing to talk to relatives/friends, and I never feel like I am inconveniencing them. I am always greeted with a cheery smile from everyone I see.

My mum has now been at Hollyfields for two months following a severe stroke, which has left her with both cognitive and physical complications. This has been an extremely difficult time for Mum and for us as a family, but from the very first enquiry and show round, through to the administration and admission process, Hollyfields has been professional, caring and understanding.
The team took the time to understand Mum's medical needs, as well as the practical and financial aspects of her care. The speed and efficiency of her admission was also very reassuring at a time when we needed support and guidance.
The staff are excellent. They are caring, friendly and approachable, and they create a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. The nursing staff are always on hand, which gives us great confidence that Mum is being properly looked after.

The home itself feels safe, homely and well laid out, with a lovely size and atmosphere. The surroundings are wonderful, with trees and gardens th

The standard of care at Hollyfields Kidderminster was absolutely excellent , it was clear that the team treats all the residents with genuine care and interest. They were very accommodating to my mother with preferences and helped her to settle in far more smoothly than we anticipated during my mother's 3 weeks of respite in march 2026 . The staff dealt with medical concern efficiently and professionally . The team never got frustrated and only ever treated my mother with kindness .The care home was very clean and welcoming and a homely atmosphere , would highly recommend .

I couldn't recommend Hollyfields enough. It's such a HUGE decision finding a perfect care home for a loved one, but I can hand on my heart 100% recommend them. They went above & beyond for my Dad, who was end of life. The care & compassion they showed both my Dad & our family, I will never forget. The home itself is welcoming, clean, warm & feels homely. The staff are welcoming, friendly and nothing we asked was too much trouble. I can't thank you all enough for everything you did for us all at such a heartbreaking time.

My Dad stayed in Hollyfields for a short time for respite care following a fall at home resulting in a broken hip. When Dad was transferred from a Local Authority Care Home, he was probably at the lowest I have seen him. The staff at Hollyfields were amazing in looking after him and building him back up. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were kind, caring and responsive. The catering team were fantastic, catering to his needs by offering meals that he would prefer to menu. He felt valued as a person and enjoyed his chats with all the staff. After coming home he said he enjoyed his stay there,, we were very happy with the level of care he received during his stay.

I would not recommend sending a loved one to Barchester Hollyfields Care Home for end-of-life/palliative care. Issues were not dealt with in a professional manner, in fact, they were usually denied and told that our brother was "confused" when he had full mental capacity. In the final weeks of his life, he had an infection for which medical attention was not sought. He also had a bed sore, which was completely avoidable with proper care. We found the manager to be lacking in any genuine empathy when we needed support. Most of the staff were lovely and kind, sadly this was overshadowed by the negative aspects we experienced.

Dad was transferred to Hollyfields on Saturday 6th July am, from a hospital setting. The transfer notes apparently were not great. The home manager and support staff quickly sorted our problems by calling the duty doctor who prescribed suitable medication. During the very short time Dad was there, he was treated with respect and great kindness. We couldn't have wished for a better setting for his last few days. (Dad was unable to take part in activities).

My husband is a long-term resident suffering from dementia. During this time, his needs, in all areas, have grown and become more complex. The staff have, at all times, provided the care, support and respect he needs as he loses his battle with Alzheimer's.

As a family, we are very grateful and thank all the staff who make it possible.

From the first time we visited to assess Barchester Hollyfields Care Home (when we received a warm welcome as soon as we stepped inside) to the last day when Mom passed away peacefully, the standard of care the staff provided was first-class.
Mom was seriously ill but still able to communicate and all the staff, from senior nurses to cleaners, were always chatting with Mom and making her feel at home.
In addition, whoever visited Mom, family or friends, we all were made to feel very welcome - the delicious cakes in reception will be long remembered!
Her time at Hollyfields was short but Mom received the best care possible.

Our thanks to the whole team.

My mum's stay was relatively short at Hollyfields, but in that time she was cared for, looked after and loved by all the staff. Nothing was ever too much for them, so understanding and kept you well informed. Hollyfields and Ivy House is a homely place for your loved one to go to. Plenty of activities, outings for tea and cake or even a meal, sometimes a garden centre. Food is absolutely delicious and nutritious. Mum particularly loved it when a singer or anything musical was on, up she was dancing. I would recommend anyone to go and take a look around. Thank you to everyone at Hollyfields for caring for Mum.

Since my wife was admitted to Barchester Hollyfields Care Home after previous respite care there I have been very impressed by the care she has received. Staff have been outstanding in the constant loving care given to her night and day especially when she has been unwell and needed to go to hospital. Prompt and constant contact was made with me which I greatly appreciate.
Myself and family are warmly welcomed by kind and comforting words and a smile.
Every effort is made to encourage my wife to be involved in the wide and varied ongoing activities. Opportunities to join her in events both in the home and outside are much appreciated. She has settled into her new family very well and seems to enjoy being here despite her Dementia.

From the highest to the lowest, the staff support not only for my wife but also for me has been exemplary in a life-changing time in our married life. A big thank you to everyone!

Alison Moseley-ShawJob Title:Senior General ManagerJoined: 2022

My journey in Healthcare began in 2004 when I graduated with a BSC (Hons) qualification. I started my career on an NHS ward, where I gained invaluable experience and honed my skills in patient care. Over time, I transitioned my skills into medical education, expanding my knowledge and expertise.

In 2016, I decided to explore new opportunities in private healthcare and accepted a role as Deputy Ward Manager. This experience allowed me to further develop my leadership abilities while continuing to prioritise the well-being of patients.

In 2022, I made the transition into a nursing home, taking on the role of Deputy Manager. Here, my passion for the well-being of both residents and staff truly flourished. It was a privilege to contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

In 2023, I was honoured to be promoted to General Manager, a role that allows me to lead with compassion and dedication. My commitment to the well-being of residents and staff remains at the forefront of everything I do, driving me to continually strive for excellence in care provision.

Outside of work, I'm a proud mum to four wonderful grown-up children and step-mum to two younger children. Family means everything to me, and I cherish the time we spend together. Being a Nanna to two wonderful grandsons brings me immense joy, and I treasure every moment with them.

In my free time, I love nothing more than going on holidays with my husband. Whether it's exploring new destinations or returning to our favourite spots, I find immense happiness in discovering new cultures, cuisines and experiences. Travelling allows me to unwind, recharge, and create lifelong memories.
