Isle Court is based in a former country house in one of Shrewsbury’s most sought-after postcodes. Thanks to its idyllic rural location it encompasses stunning views that can be enjoyed from all aspects of the home. The additional wing has now transformed the building into an 81 bedroom care home. The gardens are beautifully established and appealing any season of the year.

The home provides residential, dementia, nursing and respite care alongside the recent addition of day care services. The home offers clinical expertise in many areas, including palliative or specialist complex care for those people living with dementia and other conditions. The team of care staff are experienced and compassionate, working alongside all departments within the home to provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. The staff undertake regular training, also take part in training programmes provided by local healthcare professionals including mental health teams and the local hospice.

The emotional and social wellbeing of residents is at the top of the homes agenda. Outdoor activities include residents swinging a club in the gardens golf area, investigating whose visiting the bug hotels, bird watching from the hide, being part of the walking club or simply enjoying the views. Indoor activities are many and varied creating smiles and companionship ensuring everyone feels part of the family at Isle Court. The home hosts a number of outside entertainers, local schools and charities, bringing the local community into the home.

Even though I work in the care sector, I didn't know where to start to advise the family on where to place my Great Aunt, an ex-RGN herself, as we don't know the area well anymore, she would love to have had the choice but I think we've done her proud. I went with the most professional Home Manager,
the way she spoke about the home made me realise she was very proud of what she had to offer. The staff are incredibly warm, the home is spotless and most importantly, the residents seem happy to be there, that was the biggest piece of advice I could give my cousin when he selected the home. The setting is beautiful, it feels like a country hotel. It used to be a Morris home, local recommendation was strong because of this.

My mother-in-law was a resident in the care home for only 2 months, during this time she received amazing care from all the staff, who treated her as if she were their own mother. The facilities, in my opinion, are first class, many hotels are not to this standard. The staff were caring and attentive,
and the quality of the food was outstanding. There are plenty of social activities for any residents who wish to partake. Families are encouraged to come and have meals with their loved ones and also take part in the activities.

We found Isle Court to be wonderful in caring for my stepfather. He was only there for 4 months but had the best care we could have wished for. He loved the food and managed to put some weight on! All the staff were very friendly and extremely caring.

All staff called me by name and treated me with dignity, particularly when entering my room. Many remember my personal preferences. Food was good and well-presented but with my small appetite, I was sometimes over-faced by the amount. Activities broke up the day and were varied and set at a level where
most residents with some mobility could participate.

Nice care home, helpful and attentive staff, good food, very clean and tidy and secure.
Nothing seems too much bother.
It’s like a five-star hotel with plenty of activities for the able-bodied.
Very supportive to my wife while attending to her mother.
The grounds are very attractive and I can
see them being used a lot in the summer.
I would be happy to come here myself when the time comes.

Conditions at the home are very good, but, considering the price tag, a shortage of staff, has gone downhill drastically since it was taken over.
Shouldn't have to wait 30 plus minutes to help with going to the toilet etc.

We need emergency daycare for my father-in-law, who lives with dementia, due to my mother-in-law being admitted to the hospital. The manager was more than willing to help us in our time of need. My father-in-law was warmly welcomed by all the staff by name. He said he felt very safe all the time, the
food was outstanding and enjoyed the activities on offer. He was very concerned about his wife being hospitalised, but the staff were always there to reassure him that she was getting better and he would see her later. This was a great comfort for my mother-in-law and the whole family, knowing he was being cared for by very caring staff.

My mother is currently in her second period of respite care at Isle Court. Isle Court is set in beautifully maintained gardens and the home itself is warm, welcoming and immaculate. As you arrive you receive a professional and friendly welcome from reception staff.
Every member of staff at the home
are welcoming, friendly and happy to help.
The care provided to my mother is person-centred and responsive at all times. The support and care is also provided to visitors and relatives, making this a wholesome experience that cannot be faulted.

My father has received warm and loving care from the kind staff at Isle Court Nursing Home. The reception staff are always welcoming and helpful, also booking in additional services such as nail and hairdressing when requested. The care team in the unit are kind and helpful and personable to residents.

What an amazing place for my father-in-law to be, Isle Court is such a bright and happy environment. After a hospital stay and coming here for initial respite to now permanent placement, as a family we were worried about how things would work out, never having been in this position before of having
to deal with the nursing home environment. We are just amazed by the wonderful care and compassion given to him, right through from the manager to the handyman, to mention only a few of the wonderful staff here. Everyone is just so lovely. And genuinely care about him just like a family member.
Nothing is too much for them, every single detail is taken to ensure he is happy here.
The food is top-class, homemade, nourishing, and delicious. My father-in-law even enjoys his weekly tipple of a glass of red wine with his Sunday meal.
Set in the most beautiful setting with pretty tranquil gardens with stunning views. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

From the moment my dad arrived at Isle Court Nursing Home, I knew I was placing him into the caring, loving and professional hands of the staff in a clean, comfortable environment. My dad was in the nursing care of the home for just over two years and in that time, I observed the compassion, patience
and personal care Dad, 'Daddy', received.
We visited regularly and we, ourselves, were treated just like Dad, as part of a large 'loving' family. As 'Daddy' was approaching end of life, we sat with him and members of staff sat with us also, sharing in their sadness too. I would like to add, with sincere thanks to the catering staff for providing such excellent nutritious food according to my daddy's requirements.

Today at 11.30 my friend was still in her night clothes and (natural) teeth uncleaned. No cup from which to drink. The bedside table was sticky and with remains of dead flower heads. A roller deodorant has been behind her bedside drawers for 3 weeks.
I spent two hours with my friend who is bedridden
and unable to move herself. At no time did any member of staff call in to establish if she had any needs. My friend has no means of calling staff, no pendant or alarm button.
Whilst there lunch was served and the care assistant asked if I “could help us out by feeding your friend?”
I was so concerned that I spoke to the receptionist and gave her a list of issues, with the agreement of my friend. I made a complaint last week, again with the full agreement of my friend concerning kindliness and dignity in management of her personal care. No feedback or response and no changes observed. No confidence that this week will be different.

My dad had to go into a nursing home at the beginning of June 2023. When we visited Isle Court, we were bowled over. The approach gives you the impression of a classy country hotel, and the impressions carry on to the inside. My dad was a lifelong birdwatcher, so the location in the Shropshire countryside
was perfect for him.
The staff are all so friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. All of the meals are cooked on-site from scratch, and they make their own cakes and biscuits. The smells coming from the kitchen are amazing. We had lunch with Dad several times, and the food was great, particularly high tea on Wednesday afternoons.
Dad had settled in after three months and made new friends. Sadly, he succumbed to heart failure and died two weeks ago. This wasn't unexpected, but had come sooner than we thought. The support from everyone at Isle Court was invaluable. I can't think of a nicer place for Dad to have spent his last few months.
