Isle Court is based in a former country house in one of Shrewsbury’s most sought-after postcodes. Thanks to its idyllic rural location it encompasses stunning views that can be enjoyed from all aspects of the home. The additional wing has now transformed the building into an 81 bedroom care home. The gardens are beautifully established and appealing any season of the year.

The home provides residential, dementia, nursing and respite care alongside the recent addition of day care services. The home offers clinical expertise in many areas, including palliative or specialist complex care for those people living with dementia and other conditions. The team of care staff are experienced and compassionate, working alongside all departments within the home to provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. The staff undertake regular training, also take part in training programmes provided by local healthcare professionals including mental health teams and the local hospice.

The emotional and social wellbeing of residents is at the top of the homes agenda. Outdoor activities include residents swinging a club in the gardens golf area, investigating whose visiting the bug hotels, bird watching from the hide, being part of the walking club or simply enjoying the views. Indoor activities are many and varied creating smiles and companionship ensuring everyone feels part of the family at Isle Court. The home hosts a number of outside entertainers, local schools and charities, bringing the local community into the home.

My mother was admitted to Isle Court Nursing Home for palliative care in early June, she died there on 21st August. Throughout her stay, the staff there were of the highest grade, were terrifically supportive and perhaps, most importantly, warmly empathetic with her individual needs throughout. There
were occasional delays when other crises were occurring and I do not recall her meeting the manager. Thank you!

The home is lovely, the staff are amazing, caring, helpful and kind but sometimes it can be hard to get their attention as they are so busy. There does not seem to be enough staff-to-patient ratio. The residents need time and care which is very difficult if the staff are rushing from one patient to
another. The reception staff are great. Very welcoming, lots of information and advice. They need to be stopped from being pulled in so many directions at once.

Since my wife entered this nursing home, she has received extremely good care, is well looked after and has started to improve physically at least. She feels safe and is happy to be somewhere that looks after her so well. She has dementia, and all the staff in the home are most welcoming and caring.
It would be unfair to single out any one group or section of people as they all care about the service they give. Personally, I would pay them all more money to retain their services within the care sector. I used to be worried about her, but I am now feeling more confident. Thank you all at Isle Court Nursing Home.

My mother was a resident at Isle Court for 13 months. We were most impressed with the garden, general decor and the size of the rooms. There is a range of daily activities for the residents and a choice of menu offering healthy, tastefully prepared meals. We found all the staff to be friendly, caring
and professional. They were particularly supportive during my mother's last days. We are so grateful that she was able to spend her last happy year at Isle Court.

We visited a friend and to say we were impressed is an understatement.
The welcome at reception was warm to us and we were taken to the room of our friend. It was nicely presented and the care he was receiving was excellent. I would rate it as like a top-class hotel.
When we walked with him to a lounge
we were offered a cup of tea and even a piece of cake.
He told us of activities which were offered.
Since then we have visited another person in another care home but unfortunately, the visit was far less than the standard at Isle Court.
If I ever need a care home then it will be Isle Court for certain.

Mom was at Isle Court Nursing Home for six and a half months and was very well cared for. Unfortunately, the weekly fees of £1,650 were too much and we had to move her to a less expensive care home.

The care my mum received in her remaining few months was exceptional. I was able to return to being a daughter as opposed to a carer. All the staff were wonderful and so caring to Mum and us, the family. I am so glad we chose Isle Court Nursing Home.

My mother arrived at Isle Court Nursing Home in March of this year. She was made very welcome and every effort to help her settle in was made. She had a beautiful room with lovely views of the grounds and a door to her own patio area. There was plenty to keep her occupied and the staff were lovely.
Her room and the home in general were kept immaculately clean. At the beginning of October, she became very ill and the nursing care given during her last weeks until she sadly passed away was wonderful. All staff were so kind.

My father-in-law initially came to Isle Court for respite care but became quite ill and needed full-time care. The staff were very kind and caring and made his last weeks as comfortable as he could be. We will always be extremely grateful for their professionalism and support during the difficult period
prior to his passing. We would have no hesitation in recommending Isle Court to other future residents and want to thank all the nursing staff for their kindness shown to us as a family and my father-in-law.

Mum was very happy during her respite week. She has said all the staff were so thoughtful and caring, always answering calls promptly. They took care to sit Mum with a lovely group of people she got on well with. Mum attended the choir rehearsal and enjoyed it. Her room has everything she needed. The
food choices were varied, and all were cooked well and tasted delicious. Mum was pleased to see the chiropodist but said that the hairdresser was on leave. She fully intends to return in the not-too-distant future.

My husband and I were admitted together for 2 weeks respite care. We found the stay quite a trial but it did do us good.
The staff were very caring and responded to our needs and difficulties rapidly and professionally. I found it strange that there was no dishwasher in the dining area and that the

I needed to move both of my parents from a care home where they were both unhappy, an acquaintance recommended Isle Court Nursing Home. I made my initial enquiry thinking that the process would take a couple of weeks, but no, the manager and staff completed their initial assessment of my parents needs
the following day and they were moved later that day. When I visited my parents I could see immediately that they were happy and absolutely loved their new home. Each and every member of staff from the manager down are fantastic, using first names, making you feel welcome and spending quality time. I have researched many homes over the past 6 months but must say I have found the best by far and leave after visiting feeling safe in the knowledge that they are safe, well looked after and not forgotten. We flew to Las Vegas to get married and I contacted the home manager to ask if when we get home if we could pay to have an afternoon tea and me and my husband could turn up in our wedding outfits so mom could see us all dressed up. She assured me that they would handle it and it would be a pleasure
to share our day.
We arrived at the home, we saw a white marquee in the garden and there was my mother all dressed beautifully and with a beautiful wedding hat on. I got out of the car and had such an amazing surprise. The marquee had tables all adored with china plates and cups with rose-shaped napkins. There was a head table that had been so beautifully decorated. They had arranged a wedding cake, and sandwiches, etc and I can’t tell you how magical and special the day was, sharing with mom and residents. We had music and a photographer to capture our day. There aren’t enough words to express how much this has meant to us all and for mom to be a part of our special day has been magical.

We cannot thank the staff at Isle Court enough for the care given to our mom on her last journey. Mom was admitted to Isle Court for ‘end of life care’ and passed away peacefully nine days later.
From admission, the care and support for Mom and our family were top class.
There was regular input from
local GPs, along with every member of staff from the manager, receptionist, nursing/care staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and maintenance/gardening team were all approachable, respectful, caring, friendly and efficient.
The staff have a good understanding of palliative care, which was delivered appropriately, ensuring Mom was pain-free, calm and comfortable at all times.

When a serious illness changes a lifetime together, you try and move on in another way. We were so grateful to find Isle Court, and the kindness and warmth given to us from the moment we stepped inside the reception, a warm and lovely smile greeted us, and every one of the staff made us feel at home.
