From when mom went into the home in July she has received the best care our family could wish for. 100% from all concerned. We are kept updated about mom all the time, we also know we can speak to the staff to ask anything. They are wonderful girls. We feel we have known them for a long time. We have got dad in there for some respite at the moment. The wonderful, warm welcome he received was so unbelievable, a huge relief was taken off our shoulders as we know he too will be looked after 100% also. A big thank you to one and all.

Since Mom went into the home in July 2020, we have been more than pleased with her care. Although due to covid we have not actually been inside the home, but have been in regular contact either by phone or Facetime. The staff are second to none and cannot be more helpful and supportive. We cannot thank them enough. So when the time came for Dad to be cared for, there was no other place for him to go. He was made so welcome the minute he stepped through the door. A massive thank you.

There are a number of positive comments I can make for Abbey Court. Home layout, cleanliness, good bedroom but I do have one major negative. When mom asks to be taken to the toilet in a lot of cases she has to wait an unacceptable time to be taken resulting in her wetting herself which is both demeaning and degrading. The excuse is that the toilet is already occupied but she has her own in her room and I would have thought to get her to a toilet takes precedence over washing up etc. She cannot take herself as she is both blind and partially deaf.

The staff and management could not have been more helpful and caring to my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who asks. From the first enquiry to my mother being admitted, the home's service and care could not have been better.

Mum came to live at Abbey Court from her own home, it was a very traumatic time. Management and staff were very helpful and supportive. The whole ethos at Abbey Court is excellent, nothing is too much trouble, any concerns or problems are dealt with instantly. All the staff have become friends/family. The carers are excellent towards Mum, nothing is too much trouble to help and support Mum in her daily living in her home. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly, accommodation is excellent, a lovely bright, big room. Cleanliness is excellent. Always a variety of entertainment that changes weekly, outing in the minibus thoroughly enjoyed by Mum.

My mum has been a resident here for a year now and has settled in well. She has a cosy, sunny room with a garden view and lots of lovely, family pictures on her walls and windowsill - home from home!

The management and staff are kind and the food plentiful. She loves the activities provided by the home and the staff are keen to help her enjoy herself, singing and dancing. Keep up the good work Abbey Court!

On visiting the home for the first time, I was greeted by friendly staff who didn't mind that I'd just dropped in to have a nosy. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the home, light and airy which I was looking for.

The decor is modern an up to date, which was a bonus too.

It's such a lovely home. I'm glad that my Mum is there. She had had some falls at home and was then in hospital for a while.
Abbey Court is brilliant and is the best place for her to be. I was amazed as the staff are so brilliant and understanding.
Mum was 92 last Monday and they had the dining room all set up for her with candelabras.
It is a lovely atmosphere in the home and they handle Mum very well.

They let you phone whenever you want and nothing is too much trouble. They are very understanding and make you feel part of the family.

Dad came to Abbey Court in April 2017, he is very settled, has a lovely very well furnished room. Staff are very friendly. Dad seems happy enough. I hope the care costs don't rise too much. I would hate to have to move dad to a cheaper care home, which could happen in the future.

First impressions of Abbey Court Care Home were good. We picked a room for mam which was good. After six weeks we were asked if things were OK? and we couldn't find a single bad comment to say. Mam is happy and content to stay at Abbey Court and so are we. We recommend this place to anybody who finds themselves in the same situation as we were.

This care home has surpassed all expectations, largely due to the fantastic staff; they are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Family can hardly believe how quickly my Aunty settled and how happy she is. Minor issues have been dealt with extremely promptly and it is clear that this home is striving constantly to improve on the excellent service it already offers.

The nursing staff are very diligent and always deal quickly with medical needs. I asked my aunt why she hadn't wanted to move into a home she replied "because I didn't know it would be like this!" Praise indeed!
