Excellent care of my late husband who had vascular dementia. He spent 18 months here. And he was well looked after. The staff really looked after him and spent alot of time doing social activities with him such as gardening, table tennis. Bbq's singing for his 90th birthday a month before his death they held a lovely party for him.

The care my mom receives is 100% better than the are home she was a resident of before. The staff are friendly, courteous and informative. Nothing is to much trouble. I am given reassurance when I mention my fears. Unfortunately, moms dementia is worsening but I notice all the staff are patient and kind to her. All of my family agree with my review.

I thank god for this care home. The staff are amazing. They preempt situations to ensure residents stay safe and happy. The food is excellent taking account of my husbands taste. Activities are relevant and it has been so lovely to see him engage in a way he wouldn't at home. Both staff and management couldn't be more helpful and ensure families and friends are made welcome. Thank you, particularly to those on Derwent unit. You are much appreciated.

The staff at Lakeview - Kirby unit- are very friendly and welcoming. With the residents you can tell they care as they interact really well and nothing seems like too much trouble. Our mum seems content and well looked after especially if she is unwell. The staff regularly update us on how mum is and send us photos/videos of when she does activities. Great team and helps us feel reassured!

My wife has been at Lakeview five and a half years and has nothing but love and kindness shown to her. She is so well looked after and so comfortable because of the wonderful staff here on the Buttermere unit. My wife was transfered to Buttermere 18 months ago because of her more nursing needs and given a room that over looks the farm. All the staff at Lakeview are wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure the residents come first.

Our Mom lived in the Loweswater Unit at Lakeview for the last 18 months of her life. Mom was very happy there and very well cared for. We found all the staff to be very conscientious and kind. Everyone from the nursing staff to carers to reminiscence managers to cleaning staff to admin and reception all displayed acts of kindness and consideration to Mom and ourselves. Mom was always well presented and in her own co-ordinated clothes - even if she couldn't get out of bed when she was not feeling too good. There were many activities and treats, and we have many photos and videos of Mom enjoying herself or having a little treat - even meeting a donkey! On the days we couldn't visit, whenever possible the staff made sure we were able to video call with Mom. We could not wish for a better place for Mom to spend the last period of her life, and we will always be grateful to all the staff at Lakeview, and Loweswater in particular, for everything they did for her and for us.

My mom has recently become a resident at Lake View and is living in the Keswick Unit.
We live abroad so for my mom's care we solely rely on the staff at Lake View to take care of mom's every needs. We have regular updates about mom and feel that we are well informed.
When we visited for the first time this December we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and attentive to mom's needs. This is a great relief for us, giving us peace of mind.
We also spoke to other families who said the care is great and we have nothing to worry about.
The home looks clean, tidy and welcoming.

Thank you to the staff at Lake View for all the work that you do to help residents feel comfortable.
