Since my grandfather moved to the Loweswater Unit, he has settled in beautifully. His health has been excellent, and on the occasions when any concerns have arisen, the team has responded promptly and efficiently. The staff have been consistently warm, supportive, and dedicated, providing exceptional care throughout his stay. I am confident that the home upholds the highest standards of care. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the team for the excellent care they have provided-and continue to provide-for my grandfather.
My Uncle has been in Kendall ward for just over a year and I cannot praise the staff highly enough!
All staff are extremely polite, incredibly caring and always fully aware of exactly what is happening.
Any questions I have asked have been answered efficiently and I actually relaxed knowing that he is so well cared for. Everyone from the care staff to the nurses, management , cleaners and receptionists are wonderful. A fantastic team all round.
The Manager and all the staff at Lakeview Care Home are exemplary. They went above and beyond to grant my Mom's last dying wish, which was to hold my Dad's hand. The Manager did everything she could to make sure my Mom was able to stay at the home with Dad (who is a resident) when she was discharged from the hospital. Mom was given a beautiful room which overlooked all the Autumn trees to help her relax and be calm. Additional comfy chairs, a camp bed, refreshments and a family room were provided to us so we were looked after and could be with her in her final days. All the staff were very dignified, helpful and supportive to Mum and made sure she had whatever she needed and was comfortable. The nurses were supportive and prepared her through her final stages. As soon as Mom was settled, the staff brought Dad to her so they could hold hands and be together. A precious last gift given by all the staff at Lakeview to Mom and Dad. We are eternally thankful to you all.
Thank you for sharing such a moving and heartfelt review. We are truly honoured to have supported your mum and dad at such an important time, and we're deeply touched by your kind words. It means so much to know we were able to grant your mum's final wish and provide comfort, dignity, and care to...
My mum has been in Lakeview for over 3 1/2 years, she is well cared for high level of care and attentive, helpful staff who are very friendly especially to relatives. Food is very good that caters for mums needs. Mum is happy contented and comfortable. The home as high standard of cleanliness.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It's lovely to know that our team's friendliness, attentiveness, and the quality of our food and cleanliness have made a positive difference for both your mum and your family. Your kind words mean a great deal to us so thank you I will make sure I share this review with our team.
Very clean and tidy no smells. Overall I couldn't be more satisfied.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're delighted to hear that our team has become like a family to your mum and that you feel reassured about her care, even from overseas. It's wonderful to know that our communication and attention to cleanliness have helped ease your stress. Your kind words mean a lot thank you.
My parents have used facilities in both residential and dementia nursing care here, over the last 4 years. Sadly my dad (94) passed away in August last year but the care and compassion of staff at that time was exemplary. My Mom (92) has dementia and has been bed bound for 3 years. The care again, is excellent. Whenever I visit she is clean and comfortable. Her skin which could easily break down due to lack of movement is well cared for, which is a testament to the staff who ensure she is repositioned regularly. The unit is well managed and I am kept informed of any changes as well as contacted regularly to ensure that I have no concerns. However, any time I have a query/question, I can either call or email and a response is always promptly received. Staff are very caring and pleasant - managers, nurses, carers and reception staff and I am happy with my choice as I feel confident in the care Mom receives.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and detailed review. We are truly honoured to have cared for your dad and continue to support your mum. It's wonderful to hear that you feel reassured by the care she receives and that our team's compassion, attentiveness, and...
Since my husband has been in Lakeview his care has been excellent. Unfortunately he has deteriorated quite rapidly but they have found solutions at each stage. The staff are extremely caring and attentive to the moods of the residents and I think this has been paramount to my husband settling down so quickly I have witnessed how he responds to the staff. I would recommend Lakeview if I was asked as my experience has been so positive.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear that your husband has settled in well and that our team's care and attentiveness have made a difference during this challenging time. Our staff strive to provide compassionate, personalised support at every stage, and it's wonderful to know their efforts have been appreciated. Your recommendation means a great deal to us!
My mom was on Ullswater for almost a year before she died in November 24. Felt she was badly neglected health wise and the care she received. She was kept in bed for long periods of time with very little interaction with staff. Reported the home to the care quality commission.
We were sorry to hear of your concerns regarding the care of your loved one during their stay on Ullswater Unit. At the time of your loved one's stay, we did receive correspondence from the Care Quality Commission in relation to the concerns you raised. However, a full investigation was conducted,...

The only thing I can honestly put a negative is the laundry as there seem to set hubby's clothes wrong, even though they are labelled with his name.

During this time i can honestly say that the care he recieved was exeptional.
Everyone treated him with such kindness and dignity.
Not all care homes have this level of care, if it wasnt for Lakeview we would have lost my Dad along time ago. Every effort is made to ensure each patient lives in the very best way possible.
Visiting Dad was always a pleasure, leaving him never a worry as we knew that the team would be there for him 100%. You can not ask for more.

I saw some pretty grim places until I found Lakeview Care Home. Her room was lovely, big windows overlooking farmland.
