Mum went into Brindley Court for palliative care.
We became part of the "family" as they all enfolded her and ourselves with love and support. She was treated with dignity and her care was everything we could have asked for.
The manager and her wonderful staff made sure that mum was comfortable and
her needs cared for at all times. They supported our family when mum passed away. Mum is cherished and they talk of her smile and manners. I cannot thank them enough. They deserve the highest praise.

During my father's 4 month stay at Brindley Court, I felt he was cared for in a dignified and caring manner. My mother and I were always welcomed and found the staff friendly and helpful when we visited 'dad' on a regular basis.

Our mother broke her hip and had Dementia. She was sent to Brindley Court and we soon witnessed that the carers, doctors, and staff were first class. Every member of the care home team was superb.
We knew that our mother didn't have long to live, but we were so pleased that she came to this care home.
We called in on Mum at strange hours of the day (as my shifts were unusual times), and the carers were always attentive to Mum, trying their best to feed her and always calling in on her with drinks etc.
The trained nurses were great, but it was the general feeling of the care home that put us at ease.
When the end of Mum's life was hours away, we were invited to stay at Mum's bedside with food and drinks given to us. Nothing was too much trouble. I have told all my workmates that this is a great care home.
We have invited the staff or a representative to Mum's funeral next week. I give this care home a HUGE 11/10. Thank you for all you did for my Mum/Family.

I personally have felt very much at home. The carers have been unduly kind towards me from day one. The food was very edible and nourishing.

I rested really quite well thanks to the staff due to their kindness and support.

My dad stayed here for 4 weeks after having a really bad time in another care home. Obviously, we were concerned but I can honestly say this is a fantastic nursing care home. Nothing was a problem, and the care and compassion shown in my dads final days were fantastic. I didn’t want my dad to pass
in a home but I think it wouldn’t have been more graceful anywhere else. The manager and mostly the assistant manager were fantastic. I actually went home and felt comfortable that my dad was getting the best care possible. The staff showed so much care and compassion and it was across the board with all staff!
It was such a shame we didn’t find this home earlier!!
Again I’d like to thank all the staff for everything from the bottom of my heart!.

This establishment is a professionally run operation which has a caring heart at its core.
The staff are caring professionals who are approachable, friendly and easy to work with. From the top down they work as a team. Even though my father is no longer with us I still keep in touch with the team and
support them where I can.

Brindley Court always had a good welcoming atmosphere. Visitors are made welcome and offered tea and biscuits. The staff always had a smile on their face and the food was always of a high standard. If my mother was in need of a doctor, their service was dealt with immediately. We visited many nursing
homes before finally deciding on Brindley Court, as no other home came close to the standard we were hoping for. The home was always very clean no matter when we visited and mum was always happy and contented with all aspects of care. There are organised activities with entertainment at the home, visits to shops and lunches out etc. all professionally catered for as we have experienced. We can’t praise you enough for the care, love and attention which you obviously enjoy offering as was obvious during the last few weeks of mum’s life and the compassion shown afterwards by all members of staff.

My Mum-in-law stayed at Brindley Court Care Home in March 2017. We can't speak highly enough of the management and staff involved in her care. We found them to be professional, friendly, efficient and a genuinely caring team. Nothing was too much trouble. Her comfort and well-being were their priority.
When mum became ill, the team acted without hesitation ensuring she received appropriate treatment quickly. The kindness and compassion shown to family, especially at the time of her passing, confirmed we had made the right choice in entrusting mum to their care. We would like to thank them again for all their hard work and dedication.

Everyone at Brindley Court Care Home has been brilliant from day one - carers, nurses and management going out of their way to help in every way possible. My mother of 93 years, being treated with care, dignity and compassion by a dedicated team of staff, that put your mind at ease. When leaving her
each day, you knew she was in capable hands. All the staff are to be congratulated, and I cannot praise them enough. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

The care is generally good, one area I feel that could be improved is the amount of "one on one" time spent with the residents by the staff and more things to occupy their time.

The home is warm and friendly with a community feel. Staff are competent and in turn, have made me and my family confident that dad is being cared for with compassion and dignity. The rooms are comfortable and food is delicious with a choice for all tastes so I'm told.
All medical requirements are
attended to promptly with outside specialities called upon when required. Dad is happy and content surrounded by people who genuinely care.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.265)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.265) out of 10 for Brindley Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.892 for Brindley Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (74 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.892
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.373 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brindley Court Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 registered maximum number of service users is 10.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.673
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
