Although we still can’t even believe we are acknowledging the passing of my nan, it is all still so surreal but our biggest appreciation goes to the staff at Westfield Lodge. From the moment she arrived in their care, they all went above and beyond to ensure my nan’s time and final moments with them were comfortable, peaceful and loving. From the carers to clerical, domestic, medical, external and managerial staff, my nan felt loved by each individual. She wasn’t just a resident she was a Mum, nana and friend. The staff were extremely attentive to her needs and nothing was too much to ask for. Their acts of gratitude are engrained in the ethos and innate attitudes of the staff and it certainly did not go unnoticed. My nan was at peace, surrounded by love and her family when she passed. Thank you for turning the hardest day of our lives, into a memory that gives us peace and assurance that she was happy in her final moments.

Mum was admitted for end-of-life care. For the short time my mother was in the nursing home, the care and support were excellent. All the management and staff were so kind and compassionate and treated my mum with dignity. I cannot thank them enough.

During the time my aunt spent at Westfield Lodge, she felt safe and cared for. All staff were extremely caring and friendly and provided their care with dignity. Management was always present to provide support and advice. Facilities were excellent, lovely and clean and a light and airy environment. The food was varied and of good quality. Only praise for the nursing home. Thank you.

During this time I have found the manager and all the staff to be fantastic, they genuinely care and are highly skilled and experienced.
How they cope on a day-to-day basis is hard to imagine and they were amazing during the pandemic
I would just like to say thank you from all of us for caring, it means the world to us.
Take care and lots of love.

The staff were very caring and compassionate. My brother was treated with care and all the help he needed. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member whether cleaning, catering, nursing or personal care. The family were made very welcome. We cannot thank them enough. Excellent.
From management staff and nursing staff to carers and kitchen staff, every member made our aunt feel special. The care, compassion and kindness shown was always 100%. Staff kept the family informed at all times, especially during the Covid outbreak.

Firstly for myself, and on my late brother's behalf, can I express my deepest thanks to all staff at the care home who have given such wonderful care and support over the years. I was well informed, in time, of his imminent passing, so I could, together with our sister, say our goodbyes whilst holding his hand, and although so sad, I am so, so grateful for that moment, and especially the dignity you provided at this time. My brother was obviously well cared for and well-loved and always had loving words for the caring staff. He was always clean, happy and contented. On my arrival to see my brother, I was tested for Covid and immediately put at ease again in a very professional manner and taken straight to my brother's room. With the pandemic always a threat to your care home, your clients and your staff. I wish you all the best life can offer. I would not hesitate to recommend you're wonderful service to all my friends and family if ever needed. Thanks again from a very grateful brother of the deceased. Good luck to all of you.

My mother went into the home in May 2021 and has been a full-time resident since. I have been pleased with how my mum has been cared for. The home has always been accommodating and informative to me. Nothing has been too much trouble.

Would highly recommend this beautiful, friendly and spotlessly clean home. Mum really settled here and I can't be grateful enough for the wonderful care she received. During her last few weeks, Mum had been quite poorly and she was treated with the utmost care and compassion. A big thank you for the care you provided to me at what was a horrendous time and for allowing me to spend the last moments of her life with me.

This is a home from home experience, the staff are exceptional at their jobs making the residents plus family feel very much welcomed and at ease. Obviously because of the COVID things have been a little different but when allowed to go back and visit everything was put in place to make you feel safe. The entertainment that is provided is second to none a good time is had by all.

From our first visit to view the care home, both myself and my son were impressed by the management and staff- how they interacted with both us and the residents. We decided that we did not need to view any other homes. My mum settled well and enjoyed the many activities and the entertainment. Can't thank the staff enough.

For the short time, my mother was in the nursing home (less than 2 weeks) the care and support was excellent. Thank you to management and staff for treating my mum with dignity, also for being aware of her family's feelings and needs.

Caring, hardworking staff, nothing was too much trouble, couldn't have asked for better care for Mum. Family members were also welcomed and treated as friends and kept up to date with all aspects of her care.

Beautiful home, spotlessly clean. All the staff are excellent, they are caring and compassionate towards my mum and were fantastic. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for everything they did for Mum and for us when Mum passed. They’ve been excellent during this pandemic and keeping the residents safe and allowing us to spend time with Mum, before she passed.

At the beginning of January 2021, my mother suddenly took ill and after seven days in hospital, returned back to the care of Westfield Lodge. The return was both challenging for the Care Home Staff and family alike and further compounded by the difficult and limiting demands of the pandemic. Pandemic or not, I wish To commend the entire team at Westfield Lodge for their friendly, caring and compassionate nature, for their professionalism and not to forget being there to care for others, when at this time a percentage of the UK workforce is able to stay at home or at the very least, has a choice in whether or not to take risks. Entrusting a 'loved one' to another's safe-keeping can be done when you have a team spirit like that of the staff of Westfield Lodge. Our thanks to all.

Mum needed outside medical intervention on a few occasions, and this was organised promptly with family being informed. During her end-of-life period, we were able to visit and spend precious time with her. Thank you!

Our mother was a resident at Westfield Lodge for the last 2 years of her life. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they gave her. They all got to know her very well and treated her with great sensitivity and humour. She loved the food and they soon learnt that she could drink a cup of tea any time! They have always been welcoming to the family(pre-COVID). They are worked so hard to keep the residents and staff safe during this tough year. During Mum's last few days, they allowed immediate family to visit which was a great comfort to us all. We would recommend Westfield Lodge to anyone!

I had not wanted to put my father into a care home but from day one at Westfield Lodge, everything seemed to fit into place. Within a very short time, he was relaxed and comfortable and the staff were always on hand to support him. What we thought would be a couple of months respite turned into 5 plus years where my father felt he was living with lots of friends and he loved all the social activities and the food.
