We have had and seen the best possible care that could be provided. The staff have been absolutely amazing. Totally professional and friendly, showing complete care and compassion to all members of our family. Regular checking day and night showing nothing goes unmissed. Fantastic staff and home.

Dad has been admitted to Westfield Lodge for end of life care and the way the he has been looked after is exceptional. The team of staff are genuinely compassionate, caring, supportive and loving. Not only do they give their individual attention to the residents they also look after the family members by catering for their every need. Absolutely outstanding care home.

I found that all the staff are super. They show us that our mum is in safe hands. They would attend to the care and welfare that is needed though run off their feet I bow to them. Thanks are all we can give for all they do and the practical skills of caring. Thank you.

Mother went into care in December 1029, given the choice of eight homes from the hospital. None in the postcode we were promised. But, after visiting a few, I went to Westfield Lodge, turned up on spec. Very impressed with the nurse that showed me around. The place was very clean. I picked a room for Mum and she moved in on 24th December 2019. I Used to visit 2-3 times a week, never had any problems. Mother's health went downhill at times but felt she was well looked after. Met quite a few people who had parents there. Everyone seemed happy with the care provided. Sadly mother's health took a turn for the worse and she passed away May 2020.

Just to say our time spent with our lovely mum at Westfield Lodge was really nice. Nice friendly staff. All happy faces, whenever you spoke to them plenty of laughing going on amongst residents and staff members. Food menu fab! Entertainment mum enjoyed. Sing along days. Care manager amongst or of the running of her busy days at the care home, always had time to spend to talk to you! Thank you.

My mother was only in Westfield Lodge Care Home for a short period, 12-weeks. During her stay, we observed all the staff to be caring and vigilant regarding the residents, helpful to when asked any question. The management has an open-door policy; which we found to be reassuring.

Summary, my mother's final days and hours were the best care possible, thank you Westfield Lodge management and staff.

First time experience of requiring the need to use a care home for caring for my mother. Staff at Westfield Lodge offer the very best care and support, treating my mother with total respect and dignity. The staff also recognised that family is an important factor for my mother and offered daily support and assistance. The accommodation is always clean and tidy and the staff and management team are a distinct credit to the care industry and for the employers.

The care my mother received in her last days was wonderful. All the staff were so kind and compassionate, I cannot thank them enough. We were treated like their own family. Staff were so friendly, well trained and very well organised. Mum was never alone in her final days as a member of staff was always there to hold her hand if I needed to leave her room for anything. To me, this was priceless.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

My father was only in the home for a short period of time for palliative care and during that time he received excellent care. He was treated with dignity and respect all of the time. The staff were amazing from the management to the cleaners I cannot fault Westfield Lodge. Our family would like to thank the staff for looking after us in this very sad time as well as my father.

Mum came to Westfield Lodge at the end of May after we all, as a family, made the difficult decision for her to move into residential care. The staff have been absolutely marvellous and have helped Mum to settle into her new environment. Nothing is too much trouble and both Mum and our family have been made so welcome. The cleanliness of the building and quality of the meals provided is second to none. Well planned and varied activities, trips and events are available and residents are encouraged to join in. Residents’ birthdays are celebrated (with cake!) which is a lovely touch. The most important thing for me though is that I know that Mum is safe and well cared for and that has meant so much. I would highly recommend Westfield Lodge.

My mum was admitted to Westfield Lodge for palliative care on 22nd November 2019. We had not really researched nursing homes prior to this admission as mum's health had declined so rapidly, but I can only say how blessed we have been to have found Westfield Lodge. From our initial visit to the day Mum died, the staff were exemplary. My mum was treated with the utmost respect and care and in fact, defied all expectation by lasting a lot longer than expected. Nothing was too much trouble for Mum or for my brother and me and our families, we were made to feel valued and special. The atmosphere in the home was always warm and welcoming, and every member of staff appeared to love their role and the part they were playing in caring for the residents. We will be forever grateful to the manager and her amazing staff for allowing us the opportunity to spend quality time with our mum, until the very end. Thank you!

From the moment our mother arrived at Westfield Lodge she has received genuine warmth, care, compassion and commitment by staff to meet her day to day needs. The food provided is excellent, the cleanliness throughout the building is faultless and daily activities are always there if you wish to participate. As visitors, you are always made welcome and updated on changes in your relative's condition. Overall, I would gladly recommend the home to anyone asking my opinion.

My brother was very well looked after, and his individuality and dignity was respected at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The leadership at the home is excellent with a pro-active and caring approach. The leadership were able to advise staff on how to deal with his complex needs.

The home was also very supportive of our family and enabled them to spend significant time with him, which was of the utmost importance to him.

Having recently lost my beautiful mum, I would like to thank the care staff and nurses for their exceptional care and thoughtfulness towards both my mum and our family during this very emotional and heartbreaking time. It was a huge comfort knowing that my mum truly mattered to the staff and that they made a conscious effort to really get to know my mum personally even though she was only with them, for a short period-of-time. Westfield Lodge Care Home is a credit to the care service.
