Westfield Lodge Care Home is a modern purpose-built home in Weston Coyney.

The care home has gardens with a water feature and plum trees. Near the home is a lake, where residents and staff enjoy feeding the swans and ducks.

There are communal lounges where residents can socialise as well as quiet lounges and a bright and sunny conservatory. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms and are consulted on their likes and dislikes in terms of food.

Individual bedrooms are comfortable and well maintained and residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are available day and night.

Residents wishing to have their hair done can visit the onsite hairdressing facilities. In addition there is a varied programme of activities which includes arts and crafts, gardening and musical events.

Mother went into care in December 1029, given the choice of eight homes from the hospital. None in the postcode we were promised. But, after visiting a few, I went to Westfield Lodge, turned up on spec. Very impressed with the nurse that showed me around. The place was very clean. I picked a room for
Mum and she moved in on 24th December 2019. I Used to visit 2-3 times a week, never had any problems. Mother's health went downhill at times but felt she was well looked after. Met quite a few people who had parents there. Everyone seemed happy with the care provided. Sadly mother's health took a turn for the worse and she passed away May 2020.

Just to say our time spent with our lovely mum at Westfield Lodge was really nice. Nice friendly staff. All happy faces, whenever you spoke to them plenty of laughing going on amongst residents and staff members. Food menu fab! Entertainment mum enjoyed. Sing along days. Care manager amongst or of the
running of her busy days at the care home, always had time to spend to talk to you! Thank you.

My mother was only in Westfield Lodge Care Home for a short period, 12-weeks. During her stay, we observed all the staff to be caring and vigilant regarding the residents, helpful to when asked any question. The management has an open-door policy; which we found to be reassuring.
Summary, my mother's
final days and hours were the best care possible, thank you Westfield Lodge management and staff.

All the staff were kind and caring, could not do enough for you. I visited my mum all the time and they were always engaging with her. We and all my family were extremely happy with the care and attention she received. Thank you all.

First time experience of requiring the need to use a care home for caring for my mother. Staff at Westfield Lodge offer the very best care and support, treating my mother with total respect and dignity. The staff also recognised that family is an important factor for my mother and offered daily support
and assistance. The accommodation is always clean and tidy and the staff and management team are a distinct credit to the care industry and for the employers.

The care my mother received in her last days was wonderful. All the staff were so kind and compassionate, I cannot thank them enough. We were treated like their own family. Staff were so friendly, well trained and very well organised. Mum was never alone in her final days as a member of staff was always
there to hold her hand if I needed to leave her room for anything. To me, this was priceless.

My father was only in the home for a short period of time for palliative care and during that time he received excellent care. He was treated with dignity and respect all of the time. The staff were amazing from the management to the cleaners I cannot fault Westfield Lodge. Our family would like to

Mum came to Westfield Lodge at the end of May after we all, as a family, made the difficult decision for her to move into residential care. The staff have been absolutely marvellous and have helped Mum to settle into her new environment. Nothing is too much trouble and both Mum and our family have been
made so welcome. The cleanliness of the building and quality of the meals provided is second to none. Well planned and varied activities, trips and events are available and residents are encouraged to join in. Residents’ birthdays are celebrated (with cake!) which is a lovely touch. The most important thing for me though is that I know that Mum is safe and well cared for and that has meant so much. I would highly recommend Westfield Lodge.

My mum was admitted to Westfield Lodge for palliative care on 22nd November 2019. We had not really researched nursing homes prior to this admission as mum's health had declined so rapidly, but I can only say how blessed we have been to have found Westfield Lodge. From our initial visit to the day Mum
died, the staff were exemplary. My mum was treated with the utmost respect and care and in fact, defied all expectation by lasting a lot longer than expected. Nothing was too much trouble for Mum or for my brother and me and our families, we were made to feel valued and special. The atmosphere in the home was always warm and welcoming, and every member of staff appeared to love their role and the part they were playing in caring for the residents. We will be forever grateful to the manager and her amazing staff for allowing us the opportunity to spend quality time with our mum, until the very end. Thank you!

From the moment our mother arrived at Westfield Lodge she has received genuine warmth, care, compassion and commitment by staff to meet her day to day needs. The food provided is excellent, the cleanliness throughout the building is faultless and daily activities are always there if you wish to participate.
As visitors, you are always made welcome and updated on changes in your relative's condition. Overall, I would gladly recommend the home to anyone asking my opinion.

My brother was very well looked after, and his individuality and dignity was respected at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The leadership at the home is excellent with a pro-active and caring approach. The leadership were able to advise staff on how to deal with his complex needs.
The
home was also very supportive of our family and enabled them to spend significant time with him, which was of the utmost importance to him.

Having recently lost my beautiful mum, I would like to thank the care staff and nurses for their exceptional care and thoughtfulness towards both my mum and our family during this very emotional and heartbreaking time. It was a huge comfort knowing that my mum truly mattered to the staff and that they
made a conscious effort to really get to know my mum personally even though she was only with them, for a short period-of-time. Westfield Lodge Care Home is a credit to the care service.

After a hospital stay we were advised that our mum required 24 hour care with nursing supervision. After visiting many local care homes this one stood out from the moment we stepped through the door. The atmosphere was upbeat and cheerful, all members of staff were friendly and approachable, nothing
was too much trouble. Within a short time of her moving in the staff were attuned to Mum's needs and were quick to respond when unfortunately her health began to decline. The support given to Mum and ourselves during her last days was professional, compassionate and sincere. During such a difficult and emotional time, our experience at Westfield restored our faith in human nature. Thank you.

Our very close friend went to Westfield Lodge as she was very poorly and needed palliative care. Sadly, she passed away after only one week but during her time there, we were very impressed with how well she was treated by all of the staff. Her room was small, but very clean and well decorated and provided
her with a calm, quiet place in which to spend her final days.
All of the staff were so thoughtful. They met all of our friend's needs and more and seemed genuinely concerned for her well-being. When she finally passed away, the staff seemed moved by our loss and all came to pay their respects and to offer their condolences. They helped and supported us through a very difficult time and were so thoughtful and considerate.
I am so glad that our friend spent her last few days at Westfield Lodge and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who needs to find a caring home from home for their relatives. Well done Westfield Lodge. A job very well done and one that we will forever be grateful for.

Choosing a home for our mum was extremely tough. At Westfield Lodge Care Home we found them helpful and honest and only wanted to provide the best for our poorly mum.
In the few days our mum was in Westfield Lodge she was encouraged to participate and engage with staff and other patients. She had her
hair done and the staff soon got to know our mum's ways. We cannot thank the manager and the team for making our mum's last days happy and comfortable for our mum and for us they provided support, knowledge and empathy. We are forever grateful.

We chose Westfield Lodge care home because of the caring and concerned approach of the staff and their optimistic outlook towards Dad who needed constant nursing care during the last few weeks of his life.
The environment is cheerful, the rooms bright and welcoming and the new improvements to update
the home are good. Dad was encouraged to join with the other residents in the lounge and dining room for meals and we felt the staff did their utmost to make him comfortable.
It was a stressful time for family and during visits all of the staff were caring kind and considerate and nothing was too much trouble. We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to all of the staff.

My father in law became a resident last year after hospital and being in another home temporary on assessment. We were all made to feel so welcome by all the staff and felt so happy and confident that my father in law was going to be looked after and this left, us as a family, so happy and the staff
from the cook's, carers, nurses and manager, couldn't be more helpful. They looked after all my father in law needs and the food was just so amazing, he put weight on and enjoyed every meal, nothing was too much trouble. The staff not only looked after him but went the extra mile, he only had to ask and they would help. We really do appreciate everything they did for my father in law especially near the end, the staff couldn't have done more and I would recommend this care home to anyone. I know we couldn't fault anything and that means so much when someone you love is being looked after so well.

I have an BSc honours degree in nursing and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Adults. Since qualifying as a health care professional, I have worked solely in elderly care. I am passionate regarding elderly care and I strive to make a difference in the lives of others which incorporates a person-centered approach. I consider myself an excellent communicator and very approachable who strives to enhance the services users lives to the full.
