Following a nasty fall and fracture my mother in law totally lost her independence and mobility. We selected Cherry Trees having looked a many care homes for her. The staff were lovely , helpful and friendly. After almost two years this had not changed many of the staff have become more like friends
Walking in theres a nice atmosphere and warmth The team that look after my mother in law do a fantastic job. Patient, caring and safe in the knowledge she's being well looked after

I must say, Cherry Trees just keeps getting better.
I recently visited mum, whilst the home hosted a Christmas Market. It was set up marvelously and was a great idea to give permanent residents an opportunity to experience the atmosphere.
Once again, the Activities Team have excelled in bringing this
into the care home, speaking to some of the other relatives and guests, the occasion was appreciated fully by all.
Many thanks to Carly and her team for bringing the Christmas atmosphere to all the residents.
Outstanding!!!

I am a member of Therapy Dogs Nationwide and have been visiting Cherry Trees with my Australian Sheep dog, Fingal, on a weekly basis for some years. I can say that I am consistently impressed by how nice the staff are and with the variety of the daily activities provided for the residents. Fingal
and I thoroughly enjoy our visits and are warmly welcomed by staff and residents alike.

I regularly visit a friend that has called Cherry Trees "home" for the last year. The home is always clean and the staff so friendly. She loves getting involved in the activities and informs me that the food is pretty good too. There are lots of lovely places to sit and chat. Most recently, it was
a beautiful sunny day so we sat in the courtyard with tea & cakes. She has made some wonderful friends that come and sit with us from time to time. Everyone is always happy. It feels homely and the staff treat us all like family. Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated.

I helped an elderly friend and neighbour find the right home a year ago and Cherry Trees has not disappointed. It is an exemplary home - lovely rooms, spotlessly clean, warm and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. She has settled well, made friends and is living a happy, risk free life - loved
and cared for. Living in her own home became fairly lonely and worrying for her, maintaining her home and her life became just too much effort. Here her days are her own and worry free, every need catered for. She loves it.

My family and I recently celebrated what would have been my grandad's 80th birthday at Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home where my grandma is a resident. The room we were able to use was perfect, the food the home provided was amazing, it tasted delicious and there was plenty of it for all 15 of us!
The staff go above and beyond to accommodate and ensure everything is running as you wish. Our family all commented on how clean the home is and how friendly all of the staff are. We can't thank everyone at the Cherry Trees enough for their help in arranging this and the work they do every day to look after the residents, including my gran! Thank you all.

Mum was cared for in Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home for twenty-three months, throughout that time her care was exemplary, especially as she became more physically frail. I was impressed by how she was always seen as an individual and not a "bed" or "room" by staff. I was touched that, at Cherry Trees,
the care extended to me, as Mum's son, and the acknowledgement that moving a relative into care is challenging. As Mum became more frail, the staff used their vast experience to recognise and support me with my struggles with her changing circumstances.
It was great to be encouraged to personalise Mum's room and I think it definitely became her safe space towards the end of her life. I feel we did our best for Mum and that Cherry Trees did the same making her safe and comforted in the last two years of her life.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Cherry Trees as a place to live.

I've just had the best experience of Cherry Trees. My mum has been there for over three years now and is on Memory Lane. Well, they certainly made a memory for me today on their social media page talking about Barchesrter's "values", I smiled at some of the early comments but absolutely cried with laughter
at the "bloopers". If anyone has any doubts about a placement here for a loved one, I suggest, if you can, look at this page (11/12 September 2024) because laughter says it all. If you need a quick one-off review of the type of place this is, you'll get it. The residents are cared for, respected, acknowledged and listened to. Quite simply, take a look because they all say it themselves.

Mum continues to receive great care from the team at Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and have Mum's best interests at heart.
The room is kept clean and tidy and Mum's weight is closely monitored as she now requires help eating and is on level 4 food.
Mum
is in safe hands and she is made as comfortable as possible.
A big thank you to all of the staff.

Mum moved in in October 2022. A tough decision for her and us, as her family.
The manager and her team are great. Mum is so happy and is well looked after.
The home is decorated for Valentine’s Day and looks lovely and is fun for the residents. We are so happy to see Mum safe and cared for but most
of all happy!
Four members of staff in particular are super but in fairness, so are the whole team.
I can highly recommend Cherry Trees.
Keep up the good work.

My husband has had two much-needed respite breaks at Cherry Trees. He is now going to convert to a permanent residency. His needs are being well met by the warm and welcoming staff in the dementia unit. It took a while for him to settle in, but I am very grateful that with patience and understanding
from the nurses and carers, he is now comfortable in his new surroundings and routine. The administrative team have also been particularly helpful in advising me through this emotionally difficult process.
I am so glad that we have chosen Cherry Trees. The setting is great, with beautiful gardens and a welcoming cafe area and courtyard. Its location close to Alcester is useful, as the town has riverside walks, many coffee shops and plentiful parking for accompanied trips out from the care home. Rooms are kept clean and airy, and nursing staff are attentive. Visiting has become a pleasure, knowing that my husband is well looked after.

We put my father into Cherry Trees Care Home a few months ago. First impressions are that it is a very caring care home. The staff are kind, friendly and seem to have built up a good rapport with him in the short time he has been there. He likes the outlook from his room which is very pleasant with
planting and views out across the fields. The food is varied and they seem to cater for his needs. We visited him the other day as lunch was being served to him, which was scampi and chips which we noted was not on the menu for that day and which he obviously enjoyed. He has actually said to us that he doesn't think we could have found a better home for him. He has been able to have a few items hanging on the walls from his house and we were able to bring in his electrically operated chair which he finds comfortable and his small hi-fi which he listens to. We all feel that he is in a good place which gives us a deal of comfort and peace of mind.

My mum of 93 moved into Cherry Trees Care Home in January. It was a huge wrench for her to give up her home and the guilt of her having to do this weighed heavily on the family.
The manager at Cherry Trees welcomed us with open arms, as did her skilled and cheerful team. From day one Mum was made
to feel welcome. Mum’s pictures were hung on her wall, and we installed a few sentimental pieces of furniture to make her room feel even cosier. Socialising is encouraged and Mum made friends easily. The weekly activities have helped Mum’s mobility and cognitive ability.
The carers and nurses are attentive to Mum's needs and treat her with love and respect. It is evident from the quality of staffing that the manager invests in people and together they take the home to a high standard of care. Everyone counts and everyone cares.
Over the last three months, it is wonderful to see how Mum's life has been enriched. Cherry Trees has given Mum stability, security and quality care.

The manager and the team at Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home are truly outstanding.
We had to make the hard decision to move Mum into care as she could no longer look after herself. She is 90 and, other than her short-term memory, is well for her age. Not only does Mum love the home and the staff,
they love her too. They are also very supportive of us as a family. They really do care for all of us! The food is excellent and the activities are varied and fun. We feel part of a new family and this is very special indeed.
When Mum was 90 they made a cake and brought Mum a beautiful bunch of flowers and decorated her room too. A very thoughtful and special touch.
I cannot recommend Cherry Trees highly enough. Keep up the good work everyone.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.460)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.460) out of 10 for Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (125 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 150 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.627 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.2 = 0.802
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am committed to the delivery of person-centred care and focus on what residents can do, not what they can't. I promote independence and well-being and consider working in this sector to be a privilege, not a job.

I am dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality care by my team and endeavour to create happiness amongst residents at Cherry Trees.

My door is always open if you wish to discuss your care or that of a loved one and I look forward to meeting you soon.
