I have been dealing with Linden Lodge care home for the last 7 or so months and I have found all of the staff, whatever their role, to be very positive, kind and understanding. All the different departments have been efficient and I have been kept up to date with any issues regarding my father and his
care. For example, I was recently made aware of a funding path that I had no knowledge of. This has been of great benefit to me.
I am very pleased that I chose Linden Lodge as the care home for my parents even though it is located a substantial distance from where I live.

From the moment I step into the care home, there's a welcome and smiling face to greet me. The visit to see Mom is a pleasure and finding her comfortable, clean and well cared for puts my mind at rest knowing she is in safe hands. From the cleaning team to the staff on her floor everyone is friendly
and helpful. Every time I have had any questions or concerns the nurses are always on hand to reassure me.
I haven't put a rating for food and drinks as Mom is tube fed and being paralysed she isn't able to join in activities.
Thanks for keeping Mom safe.

I received good advice prior to choosing Lindon Lodge for my mum. We were shown a lovely room but unfortunately, she was transferred to an acute hospital and then back to a community hospital. 5 weeks later she finally came to Linden Lodge in a nicer room. The staff treated her kindly and made her last
few days comfortable for her. Mum was funded on end-of-life care but I would have no hesitation in paying the costs if need be.

Since leaving the hospital in November, my very elderly aunt has been a resident requiring nursing care. The family visited other potential homes beforehand but were at once struck by the homeliness of the surroundings and the friendliness of everyone involved with the care of residents at Linden Lodge.
It was an easy decision to make. Carers are most respectful of my aunt and we have never had one moment's concern in the six months since she has been resident. All staff are approachable and there is always someone to speak to. They quickly got to know my aunt as an individual and she is treated with the utmost dignity. As difficult as any transition from own home to a residential home will undoubtedly be, everyone there has gone out of their way to make this move as stress-free as it possibly could be.
To quote my aunt "Everyone here is very kind and I know that I am safe."

Very pleased with care.
Since going onto system with no notes in room felt as if we couldn't see how Mom was eating. Staff would answer any questions but didn't like to bother them.
As Mom was bedridden her clothes weren't ironed or put on hangers most of the time which I found upsetting.

A special thanks for reception staff always greeted with a smile. Carers work really hard and act whenever necessary. Nurses call us when needs arise never had any issue which isn't sorted or referred within reasonable time frame.
Home is clean and smells fresh (obviously not 100% of the time - call
of nature stops for no one).
All in all really happy choosing this care home for our family member.

Mum has lived here for over two years now, and I’ve seen how she’s being cared for. I have no issues with her care, and she seems happy, although she doesn’t really speak now.
I know she’s safe, and if there are any incidents, the staff ring me to tell me about it.

I had moved my husband from another care home and frequently wish I had done so much earlier. The care and professionalism shown by the staff were a breath of fresh air. I no longer worried about what was happening to him when I wasn't there, instead, I knew he was in safe hands, with people I could
trust, and for this, I will be eternally grateful.

Staff at Linden Lodge have always been polite, caring and respectful. They go above and beyond to care for their residents.
My mother went to live there in January 2015. Right from the start, I was impressed with their dedication. Matron was willing to visit Mom in a rehab hospital in Nottingham -
other places would have assessed her over the phone. The transfer was arranged for two days later. The night beforehand, I arrived with some things for her room - her nameplate was done showing an author's books - detail obtained during their assessment. It was a lovely touch.
After her stroke, Matron called to say she could go back there when ready.
During Covid, they looked after everyone so well.
I was called when Mom seemed unwell, and this meant I could visit what turned out to be the night before she died.
Staff were amazing upon her death and told me exactly what would happen, making the next steps easier to cope with at such a sad time.
Thank you all so very much.

Our mam was a resident at Linden Lodge for over four years, where she was loved and cared for. After Mom's unfortunate fall and subsequent stay in the hospital, it was apparent that she was approaching end of life, and she was returned to Linden Lodge. All of the staff could not have been any more kind
and helpful to our family during this period by going above and beyond with sympathy and practical assistance. Some members of our family, who lived two hundred miles away, and ourselves were provided with hot meals and drinks, and overnight facilities were provided for us. A sad occasion was softened by the love and care received.

My father was admitted into Linden Lodge and the staff were absolutely amazing.
They were brilliant with my father and catered for his every need and he still kept his dignity. They went over and above to keep myself and the family informed about everything concerning my father. We couldn't recommend
them more. They fully deserve all the credit they get.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.799)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.799) out of 10 for Linden Lodge Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 59 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 58 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.799 for Linden Lodge Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (557 Excellents x 5) + (111 Goods x 4) + (13 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 681 Ratings = 4.799
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linden Lodge Nursing Home is based on 58 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 registered maximum number of service users is 15, which has been reached with 58 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
