It is such a difficult decision to move into care, but we really could not have found a better 'new home' for my mum. It is never going to be the same as 'at home', but all the staff take the trouble to get to know their residents and spend quality time with them. Everyone is always friendly and pleasant, which gives a real sense of community. I would highly recommend Linden Lodge to anyone who needs peace of mind that your relative will be well cared for.

My dad has been at Linden Lodge since January 2021 which was during the covid days! So we couldn’t visit or even “check out the home!” However, the communication was excellent and we felt Dad was looked after. When we were able to visit the precautions were great and made us feel Dad was safe. The staff have always made myself and my family feel welcome. They know Dad and talk about him with real affection. From the amazing cleaners to the great carers (two staff members especially) I can’t thank them enough for looking after Dad now that we are unable to.

You read a lot in the comments on here about 'being part of the Linden Lodge family' but that is so true and it has been home for my mum for a number of years now and the level of care provided is and always has been to an extremely high standard.
It takes a huge team effort to deliver that care, and it is not just the carers and nurses, there is a whole team at all different levels working behind the scenes that are all part of the 'family' that make Linden Lodge stand out because of what everyone at every level does day in day out.
My mum enjoys the entertainment that comes into the home, and that takes many forms, and despite her disability, she enjoys it and the people coming in, engage with her and everyone else to make them feel special.

As a relative I also feel part of that 'Linden Lodge family' and I know my mum is safe and looked after, and that makes a big difference.

My dad has been a resident of Linden Lodge since January 2022 and I could not recommend highly enough the care that he receives. I always intended for my dad to end his days in his own home and when he became unable to look after himself I tried the private care route with live-in carers in his own home and this was a disaster with carers who didn't care. I moved him to Linden Lodge and his health immediately picked up due to the care he received and the compassion, friendliness and love that all staff gave him. The accommodation, the meals and the general atmosphere are all perfect. My dad is happy, content and exceptionally well looked after and it is certainly down to all the staff at Linden Lodge.

Thank you for everything.

Mum has been in Linden Lodge since April 23, having to move from a previous care home due to needing 24-hour nursing care. The home is welcoming and exceptionally clean. All the staff are kind and caring, meeting Mum's individual needs, and nothing is too much trouble for them, and there is always someone willing to listen should I have any worries.

Mum is happy and talks of Linden Lodge as her home. It is reassuring to know that she has such a professional team looking after her.

I'm very pleased and happy that my brother is very well cared for since he came up here since last September 2022. All the family see him every week now he’s up here, so very cheerful and always got a smile on his face. All the staff are fantastic with my brother and give him dignity and respect. They are all very warm and welcoming every time you walk into the nursing home. I’m so grateful to them all, knowing he’s well looked after. A very big thank you to you all.

My father received excellent care and attention at Linden Lodge. I was kept informed of any problems or causes for concerns with any changes in Dad's health promptly and efficiently. I cannot thank the whole team at Linden Lodge enough for their care, support and attention to detail. We are eternally grateful as a family for Dad's care.

Although my wife was in the home for a relatively short time, she was made most welcome from the outset. My wife had a lovely room with plenty of space for the staff to work in. She seemed to settle in well and was happy there. Her personal requirements were challenging, but the staff made great efforts to get to know her. They read to her and shared the photo albums that we provided.
The open visiting arrangements were a bonus. They made visiting by relatives and friends so much easier to arrange. We were kept informed of any important issues as they arose.

Thank you to all the staff.

We are generally well satisfied with the treatment of our aunt and uncle in Linden Lodge but there are a few niggles which we would mention.
We were not told about the Laundry Policy and noticed that the clothes were "disappearing". Upon enquiry, we found out that they were being dressed from "lost property" - when they had enough clothes of their own. We were not told about marking their clothes when they first came to the home. Relatives of ours in other homes had their laundry washed separately. We are not happy with everyone's clothes being washed together.
We are pleased with the friendly attitude towards our relatives by the caring staff.
We thank you for informing us when there is a problem.
We are a little worried that our relatives are staying in bed permanently and not being encouraged to get up during the day, although we realize that they have mobility issues.

Caring is a difficult job and we thank you for your hard work.

My father was discharged from Hospital to Linden Lodge suffering from cancer, which had spread into his bone marrow leaving him unable to stand or walk, combined with long-term heart failure. Within a week his condition had deteriorated further, and care home staff asked the local GP to review his condition.

The GP placed him on End-of-Life care and the Care Home Manager applied for Continuing Health Care funding the same day, which was approved within a few days. He passed away five weeks later. During his time in Linden Lodge, all the staff were very focused on easing his pain as much as possible and supporting my family during visits, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole home and everyone who works there is focused on quality of care and support. The home is furnished to a high standard, kept very clean and all the downstairs rooms have access to smart patio areas filled with flowers and plants. There is such a pleasant and positive atmosphere here.

I have to say I have a limited knowledge of care homes, that was until my father needed to go into one. He was put into a different care home to begin with and it was a very difficult experience for us as a family. We were dubious when he moved to Linden Lodge Nursing Home expecting the same. However, I can honestly say that it is worlds apart. The staff from the receptionists, cleaners, carers, and caterers to Matron all go above and beyond. Everyone is friendly, communication is first class and the genuine care, love and kindness shown from everyone makes the place an extremely impressive establishment. My father has very severe dementia at present that means the level of care needed is high. And regardless of which member of my family visits we all say how wonderfully cared for my father is. He may not know us anymore, but he is happy, content and knows he is safe. That is a testament to the hours of work the whole team put into caring for him. Linden Lodge was the best choice we ever made.

Linden Lodge Nursing Home is by far the best care home that we visited whilst choosing somewhere for my aunt to live. The impressive building is set in well maintained grounds with plenty of outdoor spaces for the residents to relax. The inside is always clean and smells fresh. There are always activities in the day room, sometimes in house and quite often outsiders come in to sing, entertain or hold exercise sessions. The staff are amazing, they’re all so friendly and caring. They all know each resident's quirky ways and nothing ever seems too much trouble. During lockdown they went above and beyond to keep us connected and Matron did a superb job of emailing us regularly to give us any updates or just a general insight into day to day life in lockdown. I know many care homes struggled during these scary times and I’m sure there must have been times when it was all too much for the staff, but they didn’t falter, they stood strong with their leader and battled on, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
