My mum was in Linden's care for over a year and it was extremely different and difficult during this time with Covid. Staff were trying to understand this new way of working as well as the residents who lived there. Due to this, it is difficult to rate this provision, as I am sure it was different before covid. It was difficult to get to know the staff due to the lack of name badges and with the masks they needed to wear.

Thank you for your comments.
Covid was a very difficult time for all of us and even with all the restrictions that were necessary at the time - it proved difficult to build the relationships with families that we would have in more "normal" times.

It is very important to us that families feel they are part of our "Linden Lodge Family".

My mother was resident in the nursing care unit of Linden Lodge for over two years, from when she had a stroke in July 2019 until her death in September 2021. The care she received during that time was excellent and she was very well looked after. Linden Lodge managed the COVID situation very well and we had no concerns. Our family would recommend Linden Lodge.

This review regards my father-in-law who was bed bidden.

His care for his stay was fully catered for very well. Cannot thank the staff enough for looking after him until he passed away on 27/08/21. So grateful for all their support.

Lovely staff, welcoming and helpful. The facility is clean and smells fresh which is always a good sign. It's a lovely setting in a big rural outlook. Gardens and open spaces to walk, rest or just to sit in. The care staff are capable, caring and knowledgeable. There is a great selection of home-cooked meals. The information given during the pandemic was extremely helpful.

Mum was in respite care for two weeks as she had become immobile. The staff immediately made her welcome and comfortable and within a week she had regained mobility. After the full stay, Mum was fit and ready to return home thanks to the care and attention afforded her by the excellent Linden Lodge team.

My mom has been in this care home for two years. I cab say that in all that time I am very pleased with her care. It is very clean and the manager, staff and cleaners are all lovely people. I also feel that she likes being here too.

My mother's care is second to none. She has her own furniture in her room so it feels at home. The food is first class but the brilliant part of Linden Lodge is the fabulous staff who go the extra mile for the residents.

My experience has been very limited as I have not been able to visit due to lockdown. Dad has been a resident for a year, from March 2020.

Linden Lodge were able to take my father during the first days of the lockdown (due to the coronavirus pandemic). He had fallen and was in hospital so entered the home and had no visitors due to restrictions. The testament to the staff and home is that they took the roles of carers, family members and friends, ensuring Dad felt secure and loved.

My mother has been at Linden Lodge for 2 and a half years. She has an excellent room, with her own furnishings and personal items from home around her. The nurses and staff have treated her with care, love and tenderness as if she was one of their family. My mother's washing is always fresh and spotless. It is sad that, as she is bedridden, she cannot join any entertainment.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a very caring manner towards the residents and visitors. This is the first visit I have made since the easing of COVID restrictions. It was so reassuring to know that Mum was sage in a secure and caring environment and great pains were taken to ensure that we were kept up to date with Mum's situation throughout the lockdown since we were so far away. An excellent team in an excellent care home! Well done to all.

I have been visiting Linden Lodge Nursing Home since 2000. My mother was a resident, followed by my aunt and then in 2014, my father became a resident. Both parents were in the home for a couple of months before my mother passed away. The staff, led by the matron, have always been friendly, helpful, kind and reassuring. They have provided excellent loving care to all my relatives and I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. An extremely well run home. Keep it up!

My sister has been staying at Lindon Lodge for four months. Prior to her admission, she was very agitated and anxious. She was not eating very well. She is now much calmer and happier. She loves the staff and the activities. She enjoys the food and has put weight on.

My father was deteriorating rapidly with dementia and so the decision was made to move him into a nursing home in January 2021. The handover was upsetting but dealt with professionally by the staff. Since then he has settled in well, we have had regular contact, weekly blog updates and calls. The visiting has been really well managed, with residents welfare remaining a high priority. My father is clearly much loved and well cared for by the dedicated team at Linden Lodge and he is obviously at ease here. Plus the grounds are beautiful.
