My Dad was taken in at Short notice from Hospital. He needed Palliative care. He was there for 5 weeks and had lots of care, and was not on his own at the end. The building was clean and the Staff were very understanding

I cannot express enough how amazing all the staff are at this nursing home!
I visited my mother every single day for well over a month, and the care, compassion and love they showed my mum and myself went above and beyond all my expectations.

My mum was always comfortable, clean, cared for and loved! From what I encountered, they treat every resident in the exact same way. A beautiful home, in a beautiful setting, where your loved one's every need is professionally, personally and generously accommodated. I highly recommend.

My father has been a resident at Mockley Manor for 15 months, and I have nothing but praise for the care home staff. They provide excellent care, and clearly enjoy the family atmosphere provided by the outstanding manager. Communication is excellent and any concerns are quickly dealt with. I would thoroughly recommend Mockley Manor to anyone considering a care home.

My Mother was admitted to Mockley Manor from the hospital in January 2026, and I feel lucky that we have found such a lovely home for her. It is clean and does not smell like some nursing homes do. The nursing staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling.

If they see me on the way up to see Mother, they will stop me to tell me how she is doing, which is a lovely thing to do. The facilities are good with a cinema room and a hairdresser's, where Mother loves having her hair done every week. The day room has a homely feel and is laid out with a kitchen and lounge area, which has large windows to the floor with a lovely view overlooking the fields. I have even seen small deer in the garden. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mockley Manor.

As soon as you walk into Mockley Manor you have the cosy feel of walking into your own home. All of the staff are friendly, welcoming, caring and very compassionate. The entertainment crew led by Kate are amazing, I even joined in myself. We moved my dad into the home in September 2025 as he was nearing the end of his life and it was very comforting to know that everyone looked after my dad with such love and compassion, and made his final hours the best that they could be. Thank you to Rachel, Marie, Amanda and the rest of the team.

We moved my father to Mockley Manor when it became necessary for him to have more medical care and in order for him to be closer to where I live. Mockley Manor have been fantastic since he moved in early June 2025. The staff are extremely friendly and supportive with Rachael Crocker, the care home manager, deserving of high praise. She is always available for a chat, keeps me up to date with any changes in my father's condition and generally goes above and beyond the call of duty. I am so pleased we moved my father to Mockley Manor.

From the moment I walked into Mockley Manor, I knew mom was in the best place she could possibly be. It was immediately apparent that here was a place that was going to take the very best care of my mom.
She was in a lovely room, beautifully decorated and looking out over green fields with bird boxes outside the window. After being in and out of hospital for months, this was such a wonderful environment.
But as ever, it is the staff that make the place special. The manager and the lady on front of house were both so helpful, kind and informative, really helping my dad and the whole family navigate the whole journey. Every one of the care staff were so kind and the attention to detail in ensuring all mom's needs were met was exceptional.

And they were all so kind and supportive to my dad throughout, even after mom sadly passed, the manager and front of house both helped us with the admin, I can't thank them enough.

My father was admitted to the home in January where he was looked after to a good standard of care. There were a couple of occasions where we had to ask for him to be shaved and fingernails cut but apart from that we were more than happy with the care that was undertaking there. The Manager was amazing and always very helpful. If we had a query regarding Dad the home was always clean and tidy. The food look good however Dad didn't really like the food so we did take him snacks in apart from that the care in the end of Dad's life was good it was just a shame home was over 40 minutes away which meant we couldn't visit as much as we wanted to, however there are four daughters so we shared the visits to make them as consistent as possible in Dad's need and mental well-being that he was being cared for and visited by his family members.

The home was nice and clean, but the care of my father was very poor, has requested he was not shaved, they didn't help him with his drinking which was very hot, which he spelled it on him, they also cut his elbow which was left to bleed.

Dad has been resident at MOCKLEY MANOR for the last 2 1/2 years.
During this time, I see improvements. I have one concern (hearing Aids) which is being addressed. In my opinion the staff seem very attentive - in particular a big shout out to one member of staff. She gets the residents to engage with each other as best they can.
Dad's accommodation is good. The food is good.
A big shout out to the manager I can see the care and support she and her team gives. She is also very attentive to the residents family. Lovely care home.

Would I recommend Mockley Manor? YES

My family and I never wanted my Mum to go into a Care Home but her Dementia was getting too difficult for us to manage at home. Mum became a resident at Mockley Manor over 2 years ago and we couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The Manager is always available to help us with any queries, the Recetionist always assists my Dad when I'm unable to take him, the carers are just amazing and treat Mum like a member of their own family. I wish I could mention all the staff individually as each and everyone of them goes above and beyond. Mockley Manor is always clean, well maintained and it feels so welcoming whenever I visit. The staff not only look after my Mum but also look after us as a family and treat us with care and compassion. The home is full of love and laughter and I wouldn't want my Mum to be anywhere else other than Mockley Manor. Thank you for everything you do.

Both of my parents have been residents at Mockley Manor within the past year with very different needs, but they have each received very good care.
The home has high standards and is run very efficiently. The rooms and communal areas are pleasant, clean and well maintained. The care staff are hard working, well trained and very respectful.
My mum arrived at Mockley Manor with very advanced dementia and she was provided with the right environment to ensure her final few months were very comfortable.

My Dad continues to feel secure and well cared for and speaks highly of the care staff and management team, who are very approachable, patient and professional and have many years of experience between them. I feel confident that he's in safe hands.

Rachael Crocker
Rachael CrockerJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2010

Hello, my name is Rachael and I am proud to be the Registered Manager for Mockley Manor Care Home. I have worked at the care home for 12 years, 10 of those years under the ownership of Coate Water Care. I am a registered nurse by background and have a degree in Palliative Care. My passion is for high standards and quality care, ensuring the residents are cared for in a homely environment surrounded by beautiful countryside and belongings of their own. I have worked as a nurse for over 25 years and have worked my way up to the role of Registered Manager.

Working for a family-managed company, in my opinion, is much better than larger groups, each home is individually managed and we have a degree of autonomy on how we manage the home. In addition, we have the support of a smaller management team who knows every resident and staff member which is important to me. I feel that this method allows the home to feel empowered, supported and directed as well as ensures essential care is given.

Family is essential and I am privileged to be able to work with my own family at the home, my husband works on maintenance, and other staff members have siblings or family members also working at home.

What I love the most about my job is that each day is different, I am privileged to work with some very dedicated and skilled staff. I am part of the overseas nursing programme and help train and support new staff. I also have a great relationship with the team I work with and the relatives of the residents I care for. I can honestly say that I do love my job.
