On my arrival to the Village I was greeted warmly by all staff that I came into contact with from reception staff, restaurant, plus cleaning staff which I only met in the corridors and those walking around the village. I have found the facilities, and organised groups all to be good. I am very happy with the experience I had since being here and find all staff to be most helpful.
Thank you for your lovely comments and welcome to Bede
I am so thankful for the support of all the staff at Bede Village, they have supported me and my parents during a very difficult time, helping with respite care twice in the last few months as both of my parents became unwell and not able to manage their care. They gave me reassurance and advice on how to get support now they have returned home. Thank you all.
Thank You for your words. We are pleased Mum and Dad are managing at home now. We are always happy to assist if needed.
Mum was a resident at Bede for 2.5 years until her sad passing earlier this month. I cannot speak highly enough about her level of care. The home and grounds are beautiful and dispel the idea some have of a standard care home. Bede is a community, a team, run by excellent management and all staff care massively for their residents. I would not hesitate to recommend it!
Thank you so much for leaving us this review, Mum was such a big part of our home and we all miss her dearly. I will pass on your kind words to the team.
The grounds are beautiful, well kept, makes a difference, some paths that are uneven could be updated. Enjoy events such as the Christmas market with lots of families visiting-maybe a summer one? Overall, an excellent place to live (village).
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, we certainly will look into your ideas, but we are so happy that Mum enjoys living here.
I am delighted to say that the quality of care and comfort exceeded our already high expectations and the attentiveness of all staff has been exceptional, not only with my grandma but also the family. It's never an easy decision choosing a care home, but if there is any home I would have to pick again it would be Bede. I had peace of mind knowing my grandma is in good, caring, empathetic hands. All the staff knew my grandma and have always been so friendly and caring. She was a valued resident and it definitely felt like home from home for her, Bede has the best food, is clean and its management team are always available. Thank you for making my grandma's last remaining years the best.
Thank you for leaving this lovely review. It has been a pleasure to care for your grandma and to get to know you all as a family. She will be greatly missed by us all at Bede.
My mum has lived in Bede Richmond Village for 16 years, she initially lived in in independent living before moving into the Care Center last September. The staff have been fantastic at caring for Mum when she moved in the facilities staff helped with hanging pictures and installing shelves to make the room personal with her things. The care staff are all very friendly and caring and I know Mum is being well looked after. People are popping in to see her throughout the day.
Thank you so much for leaving us this review. I will pass your compliments on to the staff, we are pleased that we were able to continue to support Mum once her needs changed.
Richmond Bede Village looks and feels more like a hotel than a nursing home. The decor, facilities and grounds are all beautiful and extremely well maintained. The staff are friendly, efficient and incredibly good at their jobs. All of this made the life changing and stressful move for my Mum so much easier, as it did for all of us. My Mum’s Motor Neurone Disease and rapid deterioration was heartbreaking but the care of the carers, nurses, catering staff and management along with the warmth of the whole community at Bede made the last months of her life heartwarming. She felt safe, had every detail of her needs looked after and was happy. An exceptional nursing home.
Thank you for leaving us this lovely review Jo, It was an honour to be able to get to know and care for your Mum, she was an amazing woman and will be missed by us all.
My sister, who was diagnosed with MND, went to Bede for respite care, and when her needs could no longer be met at home, for two weeks initially and remained until she died - RIP. She received wonderful care from every level of staff, as did her whole family. We believe that she wouldn't have received better care anywhere else. Being at Beded was the one good thing that happened since the MND diagnosis. Thank you so much!
Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review; I will pass this on to the team. It was a pleasure to care for your sister and to meet you all as a family.
The home is looking absolutely beautiful, it doesn't look like a care home. It is sparkling clean, the staff are amazing. I'm so happy my mum is here and so well looked after.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We love being able to care for your mum. I will pass this onto our team.
My mum spent five months at Richmond Bede until she sadly passed away. The team were absolutely amazing and gave her a first-class service. She was very happy there and loved that the staff treated her with dignity and respect. She felt incredibly safe and well cared for. My family and I cannot thank Richmond Bede enough for the support they gave my mum and us during this time.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to care for your mum.
It does exactly what it says on the tin!
Thank you for leaving us this review, I'm glad that you feel happy here with us.
Overall care is good. Dad is settled where he is. Don't always feel his bell is answered in a timely manner, not sure if it is always registered that he is calling (has been ringing for an hour and a half at times whilst I have been there). Lovely grounds and good facilities with a restaurant. Parking capacity needs increasing, with elderly visitors having to park on the road etc. (in bad weather, not ideal).
Thank you for your review, feedback is always important to us. I can assure you that regular checks are completed on the call system and will continue to ensure our resident's safety.
My parents were only here for a short while, but were very happy with the services provided. The village staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant does lovely food and there are so many activities to join in. Them living in independent living, but having the safety net of an emergency on call system, put everyone's minds at ease and we could add domiciliary care as and when we needed.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure meeting your parents.
When my son was very poorly, I was contacted immediately and was fully updated on his progress throughout his illness. I’m very pleased with the care and response that he received from the care team and the updates were very reassuring.
Thank you for leaving this review for us. I will pass your kind words on to the team.
My grandad stayed at Richmond Bede Village for respite care while my mom (his carer) was away for a few weeks. This was his second stay, which shows how content he was there. He was very fussy and only had good things to say about Bede. I was the point of contact during his stay and was really grateful to be kept in the loop and informed of any changes straight away. I visited most days and it was lovely to see the relationships my grandad had built with the carers and nurses. The whole experience was positive, from the warm welcome he received to the level of care and attention. Also worth noting: he loved the food! Thank you for making my grandad's stay a stress-free and happy one.
Thank you for your kind comments, it was a pleasure to have your grandad here.
My grandad-in-law came to stay for respite care for a few weeks while his carer was on holiday. The experience was very positive, from the warm welcome he received to the level of care and attention provided. I was pleased to see, during all my visits, that he had built a lovely relationship with the nurses and care staff. My wife and I were the points of contact during his stay and we were grateful to be updated of any changes straight away. He didn't have a bad word to say about Richmond Bede Village. He also really enjoyed the surroundings, the view from his room and the food provided.
Thank you for your lovely comments, it was a pleasure to look after him.
My mum is happy at Richmond Bede Village. Staff are excellent and friendly.
Thank you for leaving us a review. I will pass this on to our teams.
My wife, unfortunately had to move into care in 2020. She suffered a brain injury and required full time care. It was a very traumatic time for myself and my family. I couldn't have wished for a better place for my wife. She is looked after, at Richmond Bede Village, as if she were one of their own family. The people there are so kind and friendly, from reception to care, from maintenance to mini bus drivers. When I visit, everyone talks to me as if they've known me for years. It's very comforting for me, to see the care that's taken, not only for residents, but also visiting family and friends. Bede provides the sort of care, the very best care, you would want for your loved ones.
Thank you so much for your kind words Ray, I will make sure this is passed on to our team. I am really proud of the care that all of the staff at Bede give to our residents and families.
Richmond Bede Care Home is a lovely residential home. The staff are so professional, kind and knowledgeable and the whole atmosphere of the complex is relaxed and happy. Both my father and mother are residents and are happy and settled.
Thank you for leaving us these kind words, I will pass on your review to our teams.
What a lovely place with fantastic caring staff who go that extra mile to make residents feel valued and cared for. I am not a regular visitor as I live 2 hours away but was really impressed by how each member of staff I met was friendly courteous and respectful to my mum.
Thank you for your kind words, we will pass your comments on to the team.

Meet the Team (5)

Debra is the Village Manager at Richmond Villages Bede and has been part of the team for many years. She started her career at Bede as a Senior Administration Manager and took the position of Village Manager in June 2022.
Before joining Bede, Debra worked as a Finance Manager and Management Accountant, so she has a great understanding of the operational side of businesses. She has a wealth of experience in all aspects of our business and oversees all day-to-day functions to ensure the village runs to the standards expected. Debra is dedicated to her staff, residents and villagers and wants to make sure they have the best experience possible here at Bede.
Outside of work, her passion is her family, and she loves to spend as much time with them as possible.

Tina joined Bede in 2007 as a Registered Nurse, in 2012 she had the fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Care Home Manager. In 2022, Tina was successful in becoming the Deputy Village Manager alongside her current role, and she now supports the Village Manager with the day-to-day running of Richmond Villages Bede.
Tina loves working within the Team at Bede. She is focused on providing compassionate and effective care for the residents and their families. She also thrives on bringing the best out of my staff to ensure that everyone works to the highest standard possible. She strongly believes that everyone deserves access to high-quality, person-centred care and support, and Tina loves that she can be part of this.
Outside of work Tina enjoys Pilates, spending time with family and ticking off her bucket list at any opportunity.

Maggie joined Richmond Villages Bede Village in August 2014 as the Domiciliary Care Manager.
Following university, her working career started with people with learning disabilities for Coventry City Council, as a Day Centre Officer and a Residential Social Worker.
This was preceded by 15 years of working in Children’s Services within the Youth Justice System. As a Head of Care, Maggie became accustomed to working within the constraints of the CQC, Ofsted and other similar regulatory frameworks.
Seeking a new challenge, yet wanting to remain in people services, Maggie has sought a diversified career in working with a more mature population.

Carol has worked at Richmond Village Bede since 2022, but it felt like home after 2 weeks.
Having spent 25 years working in the property sector, combining property with retirement and care seemed like a natural progression.
Working in a village environment gives Carol the opportunity to advise on different types of accommodation to suit different lifestyles and care needs.
It’s a unique place to both work and live.

Louise joined Richmond Villages in 2005 and still loves her job after 20 years! Her goal is to help our customers realise the high-quality lifestyle they deserve by joining our thriving community.
Louise and the team enjoy planning, organising, and facilitating a range of activities designed to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of elderly or vulnerable individuals receiving care at Richmond Villages Bede.
