I visit the home every day and help my wife with her dinner and other minor needs. I have found the management and staff very good providing the care to my wife, and she likes the staff very much.

Victoria Park Care Home is a very friendly, calm and happy home. My mother is always cared for whenever she needs anything. Christmas activities have been very received, with a pantomime, Christingle service, lantern walk and entertained by two really good singers, followed by a buffet tea.

The home has been decorated nicely for Christmas and residents have been busy making cards for their families and crafts.

My father became a resident here in September 2016 on end of life care. It is a great relief to know that he is being well looked after at the end of his life. All staff are kind, considerate and very pleasant. Very rarely have I seen anyone without a welcoming smile. My father loves the food. He is comfortable and all his needs are met.

The care our mother has received to date is very good. The staff are caring and professional. They treat our mother with care and dignity. They make time to talk to our mother and make visitors very welcome. The home is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Hygiene standards are high. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The home is well managed. The manager is approachable and "hands on". We would recommend this nursing home.

My sister has been living at Victoria Park Care Home since 2009. She needs 24 hr care. All the carers at the home are very caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There is entertainment on a regular basis and coffee mornings.

Victoria Park Care Centre is a small, intimate home for the elderly who need general care and nursing. The residents when and whenever able, are encouraged to sit in the main lounge area of the home where their activities co-ordinator provides and helps them with varying activities throughout the day time and regular "entertainers" visit and entertain in the afternoons.
Breakfast and lunch is served in a small dining area or taken to residents if they are unable to sit at a table. Again, this provides an intimate feel to the home with every resident served individually - and relatives are able to join their loved ones for meals too!

Tea time is served to the residents in an informal 'buffet' style. My father has been a resident here for one and a half years and despite his problems appreciates and likes this home.

Mum joined the home having been discharged from hospital in the expectation that her life expectancy was limited. Nevertheless she was treated with full care and respect as if she was joining the home for an extended period. Staff were attentive, supportive and showed an interest in her and her views. Sadly she died after just over a month but she could not have been cared for better, nor could we have experienced better relationships with the staff who were always welcoming to us.

My father has improved both physically and mentally. I am always told if there is any change in his care. Visitors are always made welcome, other residents seem happy, dad is always clean and in his own clothes. The main thing is he seems happy. If it wasn't for the care home, dad would not be around today. Thank you Victoria Park.

Mother died on Feb 2nd 2016 having been at Victoria Park for 4 years. I have always been very satisfied with the care and compassion shown to mother. In mothers' final hours she was not alone and staff showed such care and concern. The undertakers even remarked how visibly upset the carers were as mother was taken away.

My mom went into care for two weeks Christmas and New Year period as I run a business. I could not believe how helpful and friendly everyone was. I have had some bad experiences with care homes in the past. This one was amazing on collection I have not seen mom looks so well and happy in any time that she has been away from me. Their was no rush to leave and tears when she said bye. Wonderful can't thank them all enough.

Since my aunt came to the home I thought she would be bed-ridden totally, however due to the persistence of her carers they have managed with the purchase of a special chair to get her up for a few hours very other day and into the lounge where she is amongst other people. The dedication and professionalism of the carers here have given her a quality of life I could never have given her at home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home whatever their disability. They would be well looked after.
