My dad was placed in Brookfields, and he has dementia; he wasn't given long to live. I have visited the premises numerous times and can say my dad has been well cared for; his door was decorated with his name on it - a nice touch. The staff are very friendly, and my dad always looks clean and tidy. He is well fed and cared for, the place is very posh and well maintained, and nothing seems to be

too much trouble. It's a nursing home, not a care home.

The respite care given to my Dad was wonderful and he was made to feel welcome and valued from the moment he arrived until he left. An excellent home with caring and knowledgeable staff where the emphasis is clearly on quality of care.

We felt extremely lucky to get a place for Mum at Brookfields Private Nursing Home Ltd in July this year as it is such a lovely home and the staff are truly excellent. The whole atmosphere is that of a warm, loving and very comfortable, clean home, truly a home from home.
Mum has been very happy at Brookfields and has gained weight due to the excellent food provided each day. Mum has constant company in the lounge, where there is always entertainment provided, she loves her nails painted regularly, the music, chatting to staff and residents and really enjoyed the bell ringers.
Visiting Mum for family and friends is very pleasurable and relaxing in such lovely surroundings and nice to see the residents all happy and comfy.

All in all I can't praise the home and staff highly enough and am very grateful for the care and kindness being given to my Mum, she lived with us for 20 years so it was hard to see her go into care but I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be in the circumstances. Thank you.

My mother has been in the nursing home since June 2021. The staff are brilliant, they are professional and really care about their residents. I didn’t think my mother would settle, but the staff are great with her, and she has settled in really well. On occasions, we, as a family, take my mum out for the day, and the staff have my mum up and ready to go. Lovely care home with brilliant staff.

My mum is staying at Brookfields for respite. She has stayed in a couple of other homes but Brookfield surpasses all others due to the way in which the staff engage and connect with the residents. I have only ever seen all the staff smiling kind , caring, helpful, polite and respectful which is so amazing. This gives me peace of mind and confidence in the manner in which my mum is cared for and treated.

The meals always look and sound wonderful home cooked and the summer buffet sounded like a menu from a wonderful restaurant. The home looks lovely and it is clean and airy. I couldn’t be happier that my mum is staying in a lovely setting with supportive and caring staff.

My experience at Brookfields Nursing Home was the greatest. They catered to all my brother's needs and made him happy and comfortable every single day. It is a very clean and tidy during the two weeks of visiting my brother, and the staff are the loveliest people ever. Even when my brother passed, the staff gave me hugs and offered to do as much for us as they could do. I couldn't recommend a place more than here. The garden place for the residents and visitors is well kept and looked after. Not to mention, the food was delicious. But I can not thank you all enough for everything you did for us as a family and for my brother; I will always appreciate everything you did and love you all loads.

My mother has called Brookfields home since April 2023 when she made the decision that at 93, independent living was no longer feasible. In December 2022, she spent a month at Brookfields in respite care but decided to return home. We can't say enough good things about Brookfields. I live abroad and spent over two months visiting my mum there and was impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the staff and their genuine care for my mother. Initially, my mother was in very poor health, and the situation was serious, but she rallied thanks to excellent nursing care. She is eating and enjoying small amounts of the delicious food on offer at Brookfields, prepared by their chef. Nothing is too much trouble at Brookfields, and there's a happy, competent atmosphere. Good communication is essential, whether relatives live near or far, and Brookfields has been excellent at keeping us informed. Our family can relax knowing that our loved one is safe and well cared for.

My father moved into Brookfields Nursing Home a couple of months ago, and the difference in his physical and mental wellbeing is unbelievable and a credit to the team there. He has put on weight, his mobility has improved dramatically and generally his mood and frame of mind are very positive. The staff are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they all have a smile on their face. The place has a very warm and welcoming feel and I am extremely happy with their standards of care which give our family peace of mind that our father is being well looked after and cared for in a safe and secure environment and undoubtedly he is very happy there. Thank you Brookfields Private Nursing Home Ltd.

When you find yourself in a situation having to find a parent a care home, it is a stressful, emotional and unsettling time for the individual and all the family. You want the best care for a loved one. Have I made the right choice? is the question you ask yourself.
Mum has been at Brookfields for nearly 4 months, boy I hit the jackpot!! Superb care.
The most important aspect for us as a family is the care that my mum receives. All mum's needs are met with dignity and professionalism. Holistic and individual care plans. All the staff are approachable, listen to families and genuinely care about your loved one.

Mum is not able to engage in many of the activities, but is always included. It’s inclusive, weekly varied activities for the residents. Families receive a weekly bulletin of activities and news. The staff are a credit to the home. Excellent team of staff who have welcomed Mum and genuinely care about her well being.

Dad has been at Brookfields for almost six months. His care has been wonderful in all ways and he is now settled and happy. As soon as you walk in the door there is an air of calm efficiency by all staff which leaves you knowing that your loved one is being cared for in the best way possible. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly and there are lots of activities for the residents to get involved in. If you’re looking for a care home to cater for all the needs of a treasured member of your family then Brookfields should be top of your list!

Just visited Mum on 2nd/3rd July. She has been at Brookfields now since September 2021, and has really settled well into life there, and considers Brookfields her home, and part of the Brookfields family.
Mum is very well cared for, comfortable and safe; she has a wonderful rapport with all the staff, which is wonderful to see on our visits.
As visitors we are made welcome, offered tea and coffee, and have a chat with the staff, some of whom we've got to know. Brookfields does really feel like a big family (but in a good way!).

I feel we've found the best possible place for Mum now that she is unable to live independently.

This is the most wonderful place and we are so lucky.
My mother deteriorated very quickly last week and the staff found her a bed and even remembered it was the room my father had been in.
The care is just stunning and the communication is good- the staff genuinely love and cares for the residents- clinical and non clinical.

Thank you so so much for being there- you are literally a godsend.

As I am based in North London, my comments are those resulting from my three weekly visits, where I stay in the local area for three days - visiting my mother on each of those days. When in London, my contact is limited to twice weekly phone calls. I am therefore not able to address all of the sections. When visiting Brookfields, the atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. I am therefore in all circumstances, happy for my mother to be a resident of the nursing home.

Our father has been a resident of Brookfield for only a few weeks, however during that time he has improved enormously.
The care he's receiving is second to none, the staff are so so friendly, professional and so, so polite, nothing appears to be a problem for any of them. The food is excellent, there are plenty of activities to occupy the residents and the environment is so homely. When my time comes to be cared for I certainly hope I find myself in a place like Brookfield.

Brookfield is a credit to all involved and you should be proud of what you have created.

Since my relative’s arrival early this year (2023) the team at Brookfields Private Nursing Home have been welcoming, supportive and inclusive.
My relative has a lovely room which accommodates her own personal possessions making her feel very comfortable and happy.
She highly rates the food and enjoys going down to eat with other residents at least twice a day.
The care is excellent and personal care is well scheduled and respectful.
Activities are varied and fun and available to all who can associate in a group setting or in their rooms if unable to attend.
My family are so happy to see the change in our relative. We’re confident of her being well looked after at this loving, caring and welcoming home.

This is to the credit of all staff concerned.

Overall Experience

A few years ago, my father-in-law was in the home for a brief time before he passed away. We were impressed with all of the aspects of the home that we experienced during that short time. As a result, we were happy to recommend to our friend that she apply for a place at Brookfields. In our opinion, the Home is still managed very well and it feels comfortable and hygienic as soon as you walk in. The staff are professional, welcoming and helpful and our friend's room is excellent in all respects. Plenty of activities/services are laid on for the residents with a weekly 'Brookfields Bulletin' being produced and distributed accordingly. Meals are very good with the specific need of each resident being duly taken on board. All in all a very positive picture.

My husband has been at the nursing home for five months and he has received excellent care during this time. It was a huge worry for me trying to find the right place for him, but from the moment I went to look at the home, I immediately felt it was the right place for him.

As soon as you walk into the building, you feel the warm atmosphere and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are always kept lovely and clean. The food is freshly cooked to a high standard and if you want anything, in particular, they will try and provide it, given adequate notice. Those residents who enjoy a glass of wine with their meal, only have to ask. The cleaners, carers and nurses have all been wonderful and they all conduct themselves in a professional manner, but also have a laugh with the residents. There are regular activities organised for the residents and birthday cakes are individually made for them. It is these little touches that make this home special.

Mum has been at Brookfields for two weeks today (13th Jan). From day one we have experienced expertise, compassion, empathy and humour. Mum and I have been on that difficult journey with many others. I wish everyone could find somewhere which helps them realise that a care home is not a negative step. It is wonderful to know Mum is so well cared for and that the responsibility is not all mine. Mum is settling in well. Thank you.
