I have complete satisfaction that my mother is very well looked after and provided for twenty-four hours a day. Her needs are always met with a very high standard. She is always happy and still assures me that she made the correct decision to move into the home.

My father was not at Brookfields for many weeks, but the change in him was amazing within just three days of being there. He was no longer distressed and crying, but at times almost cheerful, despite his frailty. The staff were truly caring and concerned and did all they could to make him comfortable. They were in the process of reviewing his medical care properly and looking at him as an individual.
Sadly, Dad passed away in mid-February, but I feel he was able to slip gently away because he could relax and know he was being truly cared for. All this despite the staff having to deal with Covid (though Dad did not succumb to that).
My mother had been here for 8 years, until 10 years ago, and some staff still remembered her, and Dad's daily visits to her.

I can't recommend this Home highly enough; it is what they all should be like, but sadly are not.

My Mother was resident at Brookfields for 3 years. She received excellent care from all staff during this time. The home has a wonderful friendly and welcoming style and promotes ongoing involvement of family members and friends.
Whilst she was well enough, Mum enjoyed the many activities on offer, including shopping trips, film nights, crafts, quizzes and bingo. Mum also enjoyed the parties and many celebrations organised by Brookfields.
Although the recent 'lockdown' periods have been very difficult for all concerned, I feel that the staff made every effort to facilitate contact by FaceTime, telephone calls, garden and window visits and controlled visits in person when necessary.

I am very grateful for all the care, compassion and love demonstrated to Mum. Many thanks to the real 'A' team.

Brookfields provided a ‘personal-centred’ package of care and love for the last three years of her life. She was treated like family. Having been heartbroken that we could no longer care for her in our own home due to her complex needs, we could relax, knowing how well she was being looked after. When my mother-in-law died, her end of life care was also superb, allowing her the luxury of a peaceful, comfortable death which anyone would wish for themselves.
Also how much trouble they went to in organising trips out for her, eg garden centre, shopping etc, as well as activities on the premises eg Bingo, feeding lambs in the day room!

Well done Brookfields, and thank you!

Our Mum was admitted to Brookfields in Jan 2017, with a prognosis of 6 months. Through the care and attention that she received, plus her own strong will, she managed to fight her cancer for a further 3.5 years, improving enough to be able to spend time out with family, visits from friends, and to meet a new great-grandson for the first time. As family members, we were always made to feel welcome and the staff was very supportive when Mum became very ill earlier this year. The care she received in her final days was full of love and gave her the dignity and peaceful end that she deserved. Throughout her stay at Brookfields, she enjoyed her relationship with the staff members and made some new friendships with some residents. She was able to contribute to the regular resident's forums - she never had a problem letting people know her views! The home was always very clean and there was a good choice of food available to meet a range of tastes.

My Mum has been at Brookfields for the last 5-years. The care she has received is excellent. She needs a lot of help on a daily basis, and the staff are very kind and caring. The food is very good and varies weekly. Mum's room is lovely, spacious and kept spotlessly clean.

The testing times we are experiencing at present have been difficult for us all, as my sister and I have not been able to visit Mum due to the coronavirus. We phone regularly for an update on Mum, and the staff are always very reassuring and cheerful. They are doing an amazing job, and we really appreciate how much they are having to deal with at the moment. Thank you all. Hope to see you all as soon as it is safe to come back!

My wife, suffering from terminal cancer, was admitted with minimum delay and maximum care, understanding and efficiency. She experienced professional care, given in a competent but understanding way which made her passing as comfortable and sympathetic as possible for her and her loved ones. She never had the opportunity to experience all the homes facilities, but her room, bathing and food, and all nursing and care arrangements were first class.

Brookfields were recommended to us when we were looking for end of life care for our father. From the very first phone call, they were so helpful and our father was admitted the following day. All the staff - whether they were nurses or domestic staff were lovely, they made time to spend with everyone. The food was lovely and the catering staff would make anything that was asked of them. Unfortunately, our father was only there 5 days but words cannot express how fantastic all the staff were. They were so incredibly friendly and caring. They made a difficult time so much better and we will never be able to thank them enough.

Brookfield's Private Nursing Home Ltd is an amazing care home, with nursing. I looked at many homes when trying to find a home for my mum and Brookfield ticked all the required boxes. All staff are extremely well trained, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Staff are able very quickly to spot minor changes in residents which if not addressed could quickly escalate into major health issues. All staff without exception spent time listening to resident’s needs and act accordingly. Regular resident activities including trips out are arranged for residents, and family events also take place at key times of the year. Resident and family meetings also take place where any concerns or suggestions are taken on board with amazing speed. The family are always kept fully informed of any changes in their relatives care needs and care plans are regularly shared with the resident and family. The care in Brookfield is exemplary. I know my mother is in very safe hands.

This nursing home is very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
The staff were very respectful of my mother's dignity and gave her the warm feeling she was amongst friends.
The flexibility over room set up and personal furniture was comforting.
The food and drink offered was good with good accommodation of tastes, fads and favourites.
After mother passed away I was very comforted b by the owner and staff.

I would recommend this home very highly.

Mum received a warm and proficient welcome to Brookfield's Private Nursing Home after a few weeks of less than competent care. She remarked how safe she felt here. She has been treated with dignity, real care and compassion. Staff have always responded to requests and been available for discussion as required. As a family, we have felt confident that mum is being well cared for. The quality and friendliness of all the staff have been very good. Thank you

My Auntie has been residing in Brookfields Private Nursing Home Ltd for nearly 4 years and from the start, I was impressed with the standard of care given to her. I have visited other homes so have been able to compare the care and facilities given to the residents. The staff are very friendly and attentive and try to involve the residents in activities suitable to their needs.

Mum has been a resident at Brookfields for 2 1/2 years and although, at times, she would like to be in her own home, she has been very well cared for and supported from day 1. At 98 she is very frail and the cared provided for her has been excellent and always treated with respect and a positive manner. The staff are excellent and always on hand . Mum is generally happy and knows she is in a safe and supportive environment. I have been extremely happy with the care provided and would recommend Brookfields.

I have always wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I trained in Derby in 1988 at the age of 17 which was the soonest I could train at both the DRI and City Hospital. I qualified in 1991 and went on to work in a local nursing home. Over the 29 years I have worked as a nurse or manager in local homes, I found the best one (Brookfields) in August 2018.
