Mum moved into Brookfields in November 2022. She was reluctant to be anywhere other than home, to be honest, but the staff were very kind and supportive and she seems to have settled. Staff are always bright and cheerful when we have met them and that seems to be Mum's experience too. As my husband and I both went down with Covid just before Christmas, Mum was in Brookfields for Christmas Day ( and New Year's Day) which was sad, but residents had a lovely time with a beautiful meal and a visit from Father Christmas with a gift. Staff were very patient with Mum's procrastination over moving rooms when the one she went in initially didn't suit her, but when she decided she would move, staff kindly relocated her - for which I was very grateful. They also thoughtfully provided a pre-booked Christmas afternoon tea in the lounge (just Mum and three guests), beautifully done, in lieu of a Christmas party, to avoid spreading infection. Well done.

My dad was admitted straight from the hospital and was in a very fragile state, mentally and physically when he arrived. With the team's expert care and patience, they have nursed Dad back to his bright former self in such a short time. We have just celebrated Dad's 90th birthday and we all look forward to a safe and happy future and Brookfield's.

My father has only been at Brookfield for a week and he has settled in already. From the minute he arrived the staff made him welcome and he felt right at home. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and caring.

My dad was transferred recently to Brookfield. From the moment I viewed the home when deciding on where he should go, I was very impressed. From just standing in the entrance it felt warm and welcoming. The Matron is lovely and listens to worries and concerns and genuinely wants to make my dad's stay comfortable. The staff we've met in the first week are all lovely, his room is cosy and warm. The food choices are great and always smell delicious, I think it is slowly bringing my dad's appetite back. I highly recommend this home.

Mum moved into Brookfields a month ago, from hospital. I was worried about the whole residential home scenario but need not have worried. Mum is very well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The staff are fabulous and the home, absolutely spotless. So cosy and welcoming. The food is excellent. Mum is always wearing her own clothes and always looks clean and cared for. Thank you, to the whole team, for treating my mum so well. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you to anyone looking for nursing care in this area.

Mum came to Brookfields 2 months ago and on behalf of the family, I can say that we are all really happy with our choice of nursing home. Mum has been thrilled with the staff, the care, attention and meals. There is a wonderful family atmosphere amongst the staff and with the residents. Everyone is happy and content. The facilities are of an excellent standard and there is always an interesting variety of activities and events going on for the residents and staff. We couldn't have wished for a better home for our mum. Thank you all so much!

We moved my father to Brookfields from another residential home, as we wanted him to be in an environment where he could build a rapport with consistent staff and they could develop a long-term bond with him, and us. Since his arrival in August, the staff have been lovely and cared for him with the level of respect and affection we wanted for him. I feel a weight lifted, knowing they are caring for him properly and that he is happy. If you are looking for an environment with experienced and consistent staff, who will go that extra mile for their residents, who are also there to support and reassure relatives, all with a sprinkling of good humour, Brookfields exemplifies this.

My mother is a fairly new resident, the difference is amazing. She's eating and drinking again, which she hadn't done for a number of weeks previously. The care is second to none and I cannot praise the staff enough. Mum is always clean and very well cared for. Her room is spotless, as is the rest of the home, cleaned every day. More like a hotel than a care home.

Dad spent his last six months in the very professional care of Brookfields Private Nursing Home and was very happy here. The nurses and carers are wonderful and with their professional devotion and patience dad rallied. Their care and attention gave us those extra months together that we may not have otherwise had and I for this cannot thank them enough. I was always made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything. I highly recommend Brookfields Private Nursing Home very much.

Following a fall at home, we urgently needed to look for a nursing home for Mum, as she was unable to get back on her feet. Having lived in the area all our lives, we knew of the reputation of Brookfields Private Nursing Home and couldn't believe they had space available and were also able to accommodate Mum with her dementia. From the minute she arrived, she was treated like the Queen and whilst she spent most of her time in her room she used to tell me how cosy it was, which is how she used to describe her sitting room at home, so I knew she was happy. All the staff had time for Mum and would always be popping in and out to check she was ok or to spend some time with her. The whole team were amazing, not just looking after Mum but us as well. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a very emotional time and they understood and empathised with that. Sadly, Mum's stay only lasted a few months, but we cannot recommend Brookfields highly enough - if needed, I would gladly move in tomorrow!

We needed to find nursing care for Mum urgently. Having been recommended Brookfields Private Nursing Home, we were so lucky that space became available. During her stay, she was made to feel most welcome by the friendly and efficient nursing and other staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt part of the Brookfields family. It's a home away from home. Would highly recommend.

Mum has been here for nearly 2 years now and all the staff are friendly and helpful and do all they can to make her stay as comfortable as possible after her stroke. She is very close to some of the team as her face lights up when she sees them which I take to be a good sign that she is happy and well looked after. So overall Brookfields Private Nursing Home was a good choice when looking for somewhere for mum to stay.

I have always wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I trained in Derby in 1988 at the age of 17 which was the soonest I could train at both the DRI and City Hospital. I qualified in 1991 and went on to work in a local nursing home. Over the 29 years I have worked as a nurse or manager in local homes, I found the best one (Brookfields) in August 2018.
