After visiting my partner for nearly two months, it feels like I am coming to see my friends as well.
My partner is very content which is very important for me. I know, he is being looked after.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear how welcomed and supported you feel when visiting, and that our team have made such a positive impression. It means so much to know your partner is content and well cared for, giving you peace of mind while with us.
My father spent four months being cared for in The Park. I thought the service provided was exceptionally good. As a relative, it's critically important that you feel your loved one is well cared for, and that they are treated kindly, with dignity and respect. For my dad, this was certainly the case. The staff were all super-friendly and helpful. The general atmosphere in the home was warm and welcoming. It was a massive relief to know that he was well cared for. I feel grateful for everything they did for him.
Thank you for sharing such kind and thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your father was cared for with kindness, dignity and respect, and that you felt reassured by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Knowing our team made a difficult time easier and provided such comfort means a great deal to us.
Our friend was only at The Park home for 5 weeks. We found that he was well looked after. As you see the below we found it excellent. No problems. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Thank you so much Patricia and Ian.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our home. It is so appreciated by our team!
Having found ourselves in a situation where needing end of life care, we was given a list of homes to choose from it was all very allian to us as a family having never been in the situation before, we picked the park as our first choice and I am so glad we did, I was put at ease almost straight away after speaking with Violet on the morning of my uncles arrival.Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff all very accommodating, any questions regarding my uncles care were answered promptly and he was looked after well if only for a short time, should we find ourselves needing care i would have no hesitation in choosing the park again. A big thank you to all members of staff we came into contact with.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback during what was clearly a very difficult time for your family. We are pleased to hear that you felt supported and reassured from the outset, and that your uncle was cared for with compassion, dignity and kindness.
My father in law was on palative care when entering the home. The staff were annoying and caring throughout his stay. He was mostly in his room so some staff members played board games with him. After he passed they prepared him lovely as we all said our goodbyes. I would recomend this home to anyone. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing such touching feedback. We're heartened to hear that your father-in-law felt supported with compassionate palliative care, from meaningful moments like playing board games to the dignity shown when you said your goodbyes. Your recommendation means a great deal to our team.
my wife was admitted to the park direct from a stay at hospital having been diagnosed with altziemers. it took a lot of searching and visiting other homes until a visit to the park where the atmosphere immediatley felt homely with a calming atmosphere, the staff were compassionate and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, they had a vocation not just a job, margaret was treated with care, respect and kindness, her room was clean and tidy, most of all the open door policy ensured that she could always see nurses and care staff and they could see her. she was included in activities and taken out into the garden on the warm sunny days.it relieved pressure on myself knowning that she was being looked after 24/7 professionally, i was also regularly kept informed by the staff of her progress. my thanks to all the staff for their care and attention.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. It means so much to hear how warmly your wife was welcomed and how reassured you felt knowing she was being cared for with compassion, dignity and genuine kindness. We're delighted that the homely atmosphere, open door approach and engaging experiences helped her feel included and supported during her stay.
Importantly, communication was excellent. We had full trust in the staff at all times.
Thank you.

The staff and level of care at The Park was very friendly and understanding during a difficult couple of weeks at The Park. I would like to thank everyone for their professional approach, good advice and kindness. In particular, the manager was very experienced, empathetic and knowledgeable, taking into consideration the needs and welfare of the resident and family. A big thank you to all the staff.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that our team provided the support and understanding you needed during a challenging time. It's wonderful to know that our professional approach and compassionate care made a positive difference for you and your family. Your kind words mean so much to us and will be shared with the team.
After over 2 years of in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, we thought we were losing my sister. Then she came to The Park Residential and Nursing Home - Sanctuary Care, and her whole life changed. The staff there helped her eat good food, learn activities. She was treated with dignity and felt safe again. She made friends with many residents and staff and learned to live a better life. When I called to talk to her, they would take the phone to her and hold it to her ear so we could talk. I visited the home, and everyone was courteous and friendly.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful to hear how much of a difference The Park has made for your sister. Knowing she felt safe, respected, and supported means everything to us. We're also glad your experience with our team was warm and welcoming.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and seemed happy.
The food looked nice and drinks were offered throughout the day.
Once dad was given the all clear to walk using his Zimmer the staff encouraged him to walk to the dining room for meals.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear your dad felt supported and encouraged, and that you found the home clean, welcoming, and well run. Your kind words about our staff and food mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your feedback!
I think The Park Nursing Home is a very welcoming place. Everyone is so friendly and understanding.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so glad you find The Park to be such a welcoming home and that our team's support and understanding have made such a positive impression.
I have found the Park staff to be very friendly and kind to my mum and to all our family when visiting. They showed us around and were very thorough and understanding of my mums needs. They have helped us and kept us informed of how my mum is settling in to her new home. They have allowed us to spend a lot of time with her while she is transitioning into their care. The home has a good feel to it and it is clean and my mum has a lovely room with a door to the garden which is so lovely and we can make it her own.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback for our team The Park, they will be proud to read your kind words. We're so glad to hear that you and your family feel so welcomed and supported. Helping your mum settle in comfortably is our priority, and we're pleased that you appreciate the care, communication, and homely environment. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Stepdad has only been at The Park a short time but he has been made to feel welcome. He has been well cared for and looked after. Everyone is very friendly and kind. There are lots of smaller sitting rooms that are lovely to use when the family visit. Bedrooms are comfortable and very well presented with a warm cosy feel. One staff member in particular in admin has been great; so friendly, informative and helpful.
Thank you for sharing your kind words about The Park. We're delighted to hear your stepdad has felt so welcomed and well cared for during his time with us. We'll be sure to pass on your compliments to our team, especially to the staff member in admin who has made such a positive impression. Your feedback means a lot to us, thank you.
My husband has not been in long but up to yet everything okay. Pleased with room and carers.
Thank you for sharing your experience of The Park so far. We're glad to hear you're pleased with your husband's room and the care he's receiving. If there's anything you need or any way we can further support you both, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Having used two non-Sanctuary care homes for respite care 10-14 days prior to his admittance to The Park, I realise the three Sanctuary homes in Chaddesden are all not up to the aforesaid standard. These were the only ones offered at the time. My husband's room reminds me of a ship's cabin, nothing like the room we were shown when we did the viewing. I appreciate my husband is doubly incontinent so most days the bed hasn't been remade as it is left to dry out. I would also comment I don't think he is encouraged to clean his teeth or put his plate with 6 teeth on it in the cleaning tabs I provided.
Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear your concerns, which unfortunately you haven't raised with the home's management, who pride themselves on having very open communication with loved ones. We only have one care home in Chaddesden and while the manager was not aware of your...
Very happy with this care home, always plenty of staff on hand at all times, courteous and approachable. Staff responded quickly to any issues we had whilst visiting. Dad seemed settled and happy. Positive experience all round.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your dad is so happy and settled with us. Our team works hard to be attentive, approachable, and responsive to both residents and their loved ones, so it's great to know your experience is so positive. We truly appreciate your kind words thank you again.
My brother-in-law has been in a room at The Park Nursing Home since November 2023. He has gained wirght and looks very happy. He is confined to his bed, but looks well looked after. His room is comfortable and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The manager explained why the staff were not able to move him around very much. We understood the constraints and were very happy with the quality of care given.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're so pleased to hear that your brother-in-law is so happy, well cared for and comfortable. Our staff are so proud to work at The Park and we're glad that their friendliness and welcoming approach has made such a difference. Your feedback means a lot to us, thank you.
When visiting my friend at the home he seems happy and settled, though sometimes I think he is a little bored. He speaks well of the staff staying they are friendly and helpful. From my own observations, I have never seen any activities taking place with residents. I also feel the lovely garden is underused again never seen any residents sitting and enjoying the warm fresh air.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, we're pleased to hear that your friend is so happy and settled and has positive comments about our staff. Regarding your observations, our garden is a popular spot with our residents, however they do prefer to use it when the weather is really warm. It's often...
The service, care and compassion shown to my aunty was excellent. She was on end-of-life care but was always treated with the dignity she deserved. The staff also looked after the visitors, which helped us through a very distressing time. Would like to say a very big thank you for all you have done to help. Wishing you all the very best in what you do.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt feedback, the team will be touched to read your kind words, especially written at such a difficult time. It means so much to know that you and your family felt so supported. Your feedback is truly appreciated.
From the moment you walk in, The Park is a very welcoming place. All staff are very friendly and helpful and are on hand to answer any queries.

Having worked in care for over 20 years, within community and care home settings, Juliet qualified as a nurse in 2008.
