From my first meeting with a member of your staff, I knew that my dad was in safe hands! Everyone I came into contact with was pleasant, accommodating and seemed happy in their work. My dad was nearing the end of life, and I believe his stay was made as comfortable as possible. Thank you for everything you did to make it possible for me and my family to visit him in these difficult times.

Welcoming, friendly. Excellently managed with a committed and motivated team. Very accommodating of individual requirements and needs as well as those of relatives. Nice gardens, food looks good! Suspect staffing levels, especially at night, make for hard work, but never the less, have found The Park to be extremely good and would recommend.

I and my family have been very happy at the treatment given to my husband and ourselves. The carers are first class, very patient and polite. The food is very good and always looks tasty. My husband is always dressed well and always shaven etc. The management are helpful and polite. On the whole, a well-run home. Thanks to them all.

Dad had to go into a home as mum couldn't look after him anymore. One is soon to be 83 and one 80. We picked The Park on recommendation from others. It was the best thing we've done Dad is happy, very well looked after in every aspect. Mum is more relaxed too. Excellent all round.

The Park Residential is the best I have seen. I have seen care homes for my mother and father, mother-in-law and visited others but The Park is the best for cleanliness.

I would like to say that in my opinion The Park Residential and Nursing Home has improved greatly over the period of time that the new manager has taken over.

The carers, nurses, kitchen staff, cleaners and laundry workers have also improved with his guidance. The place is cleaner and more welcoming since the alterations he's made.

I really don't know where to start.
The Park is just an amazing home for Dad.
Every day I visit Dad I feel so happy with the care and attention he is having.
The manager, the nursing staff, the entertainment staff and all the amazing care staff.
Every day I walk in I am welcomed.
If Dad is having a cup of tea I am always asked.
Sadly Mum passed away very unexpectedly, after 'the crem' we all went to see Dad (20 of us), the garden room was all ready with cake, pots of tea and was beautifully set out.
This truly meant so much to our family.
It really is just such a wonderful home.

Thank you all once again. I know we keep saying it.

Reply from Kate Yates, PR Officer at The Park Residential and Nursing Home

Jenny thank you for such a beautiful review - I have passed this to the manager and his team as they will be very touched to read such lovely heartfelt comments. Warmest wishes. Kate

Having to make the heartbreaking decision to put my mum into a care home was worrying, to say the least, then after a recommendation, we visited The Park Nursing Home.
As soon as we walked through the door it had a homely feel to it and was shown round by one of the nurses then met the manager.
After having a discussion with the manager, we felt reassured my mum would be well cared for.

Now my mum has been in The Park for four months and it was the right decision, she is well looked after and cared for by the lovely staff nothing is too much trouble and we are always made to feel welcome.

Dear Lorraine, thank you for your kind words about our home. We understand how difficult the transition into care can be, for both our residents and their loved ones, so it is reassuring to hear that this was made as easy as possible by our team at The Park. Best wishes.

My uncle came to the home in September 2018, he had had an operation which didn't go as expected. He was tube fed and was completely dependent, he didn't talk or move. After a few teething problems he was cared for with dignity and respect.

It is a difficult decision when your Mum goes into care. We had cared for her at home until we were in crisis. The staff visited in her own home and assessed her needs. As a result, Mum settled quickly and we felt confident as a family to entrust her into their care. The lovely thing is that we could visit any time and were always made to feel welcome. We were also given regular updates and treated with the utmost kindness and respect to the end. Thank you.
