The team at The Park are what makes this care home special, providing residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be pre-booked in advance. They are dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents each and every day, and embrace family and friends into life in the home.

The gardens at the home, run by not-for-profit leading care provider Sanctuary Care, are absolutely stunning and are the perfect place to relax with loved ones, who are welcome to visit at any time.

They are landscaped with wheelchair-friendly pathways, sensory planting and a vegetable patch, for residents who enjoy a spot of gardening. They are a wonderful space to enjoy gatherings in the summer. Some of the ground floor bedrooms also have patio access direct to the gardens.

Mealtimes are a highlight of the day for so many residents, with an excellent chef who makes delicious, nutritious meals, and home-baked treats for afternoon tea each day. If residents don’t fancy what’s on the menu, there are lighter bites available so don’t hesitate to ask.

There are welcoming lounges to socialise in and enjoy activities, as well as a hair salon, for the residents to enjoy regular appointments with a mobile hairdresser, as well as a spot of pampering.

At The Park there are a range of activities on offer, from painting and reading in the library, to baking and gentle exercise.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and the residents are encouraged to bring small items of furniture, pictures and ornaments so the devoted team can support them to make their rooms their own.

The home is situated in a residential area, close to shops and a library and there is a large car park, which makes visiting so easy.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Dad had to go into a home as mum couldn't look after him anymore. One is soon to be 83 and one 80. We picked The Park on recommendation from others. It was the best thing we've done Dad is happy, very well looked after in every aspect. Mum is more relaxed too. Excellent all round.

My mother in law has been staying at the care home for seven months. She is settling well and has full support from staff when needed.
The caring nature of all staff here makes it homely for residents.

The Park Residential is the best I have seen. I have seen care homes for my mother and father, mother-in-law and visited others but The Park is the best for cleanliness.

I would like to say that in my opinion The Park Residential and Nursing Home has improved greatly over the period of time that the new manager has taken over.
The carers, nurses, kitchen staff, cleaners and laundry workers have also improved with his guidance. The place is cleaner and more welcoming
since the alterations he's made.

I really don't know where to start.
The Park is just an amazing home for Dad.
Every day I visit Dad I feel so happy with the care and attention he is having.
The manager, the nursing staff, the entertainment staff and all the amazing care staff.
Every day I walk in I am welcomed.
If Dad is having
a cup of tea I am always asked.
Sadly Mum passed away very unexpectedly, after 'the crem' we all went to see Dad (20 of us), the garden room was all ready with cake, pots of tea and was beautifully set out.
This truly meant so much to our family.
It really is just such a wonderful home.
Thank you all once again. I know we keep saying it.

Having to make the heartbreaking decision to put my mum into a care home was worrying, to say the least, then after a recommendation, we visited The Park Nursing Home.
As soon as we walked through the door it had a homely feel to it and was shown round by one of the nurses then met the manager.
After
having a discussion with the manager, we felt reassured my mum would be well cared for.
Now my mum has been in The Park for four months and it was the right decision, she is well looked after and cared for by the lovely staff nothing is too much trouble and we are always made to feel welcome.

My uncle came to the home in September 2018, he had had an operation which didn't go as expected. He was tube fed and was completely dependent, he didn't talk or move. After a few teething problems he was cared for with dignity and respect.

It is a difficult decision when your Mum goes into care. We had cared for her at home until we were in crisis. The staff visited in her own home and assessed her needs. As a result, Mum settled quickly and we felt confident as a family to entrust her into their care. The lovely thing is that we could
visit any time and were always made to feel welcome. We were also given regular updates and treated with the utmost kindness and respect to the end. Thank you.

My brother and I have been happy with the care of our father since the end of July 2018. It is a very nice nursing home with caring staff. They contact us when necessary with any concerns, but do keep us updated.

All staff are extremely helpful. The care my Mother in Law has received is excellent. My Father in Law is there every day and treated the same. Nothing is too much trouble for them. During a difficult time, the care given to my wife has been first class. The staff are friendly and efficient and we are allowed to visit at any time.

I am always made to feel welcome by staff and management when I visit my brother. The care home looks very clean and tidy when I visit my brother is always shaved and clean. He likes all the staff and is very happy in the care home. I would like to thank everyone who works there for doing a good job.
