The team at The Park are what makes this care home special, providing residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be pre-booked in advance. They are dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents each and every day, and embrace family and friends into life in the home.

The gardens at the home, run by not-for-profit leading care provider Sanctuary Care, are absolutely stunning and are the perfect place to relax with loved ones, who are welcome to visit at any time.

They are landscaped with wheelchair-friendly pathways, sensory planting and a vegetable patch, for residents who enjoy a spot of gardening. They are a wonderful space to enjoy gatherings in the summer. Some of the ground floor bedrooms also have patio access direct to the gardens.

Mealtimes are a highlight of the day for so many residents, with an excellent chef who makes delicious, nutritious meals, and home-baked treats for afternoon tea each day. If residents don’t fancy what’s on the menu, there are lighter bites available so don’t hesitate to ask.

There are welcoming lounges to socialise in and enjoy activities, as well as a hair salon, for the residents to enjoy regular appointments with a mobile hairdresser, as well as a spot of pampering.

At The Park there are a range of activities on offer, from painting and reading in the library, to baking and gentle exercise.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and the residents are encouraged to bring small items of furniture, pictures and ornaments so the devoted team can support them to make their rooms their own.

The home is situated in a residential area, close to shops and a library and there is a large car park, which makes visiting so easy.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Overall very pleased with the care my father is receiving. He appears to be generally content and is certainly in the best place to deal with his condition. The staff are very caring towards him and react to and join in with his sense of humour whilst being sympathetic to his situation. Someone always
keeps in contact with me advising of any mishaps or doctor/hospital visits.

Institutional care practices. Can just about manage basic care but not consistently and certainly not proactive when it comes to requesting GP visits and reviews.
The home is tired and dated and needs a deep clean.
Staff don't wear PPE at meal times, but they do wear their jewellery and watches whilst
providing personal care. Would not recommend this Nursing Home!

My mother had to at short notice to go into a home. I found the home facilities, lounge (main), dining area, bedrooms, bathrooms and smaller seating areas to be well-maintained, clean and easy to access in this purpose-built building. The garden was lovely and provided activities. All the staff were

My brother has been a resident in The Park Residential and Nursing Home for a number of years, I am generally happy with the care that my brother receives. There have been a few occasions when things were not quite right during his residence. There was an incident where one member of staff was not treating
the residents (including my brother) with due care and attention, but that was resolved and the said member of staff was dismissed. There have been other minor hiccups but they have nearly always been resolved.

My nan is new to the home but so far our experience has been very professional, friendly, empathetic and outstanding in an emergency in particular. My nan collapsed on her first evening at the home after an overwhelming day and I was there to witness how the staff took control of the situation within
a matter of minutes. When she came around they monitored her for several hours after we left and gave her the care and love (in a professional manner) that she needed but also gave us peace of mind that she was sage. Thank you!

My mother was moved into this home from Hospital just for a short stay of two weeks. On my first visit I found the staff to be both friendly and polite and this continued throughout her stay. I visited the home before my wife went into it, it was a very pleasant experience. No nasty smells and a great atmosphere - it was like walking into a hotel. The staff are very good and friendly and have been very helpful in helping my wife settle in. She is very happy there and very settled.
