It was a huge relief to have found Harley Grange. Mum very much appreciated its attractive surroundings and homely atmosphere and relished time spent in its lovely, sheltered garden. She was extremely well looked after throughout the 2 and a half years she was there, and during the final weeks of her
life, the dedication shown by nurses and carers was exceptional.


Visiting mum, I was always made to feel welcome and found staff members and management to be friendly, approachable and responsive, combining professionalism with genuine kindness.

I was transferred from an A&E admittance with severe back pain and some heart problems. A halfway house to returning home. The sympathy and care have enabled me to overcome the acute pain. The sympathy and encouragement of the staff have made it possible to return home after just over a week's care.

Harley Grange provided my friend very good care in the last few months of her life. Not ideal, but no nursing home can be for an independent lady. Staff were really caring and did as much as possible for a fairly cantankerous lady.

We felt that this was the home we wanted our father to be nursed in as soon as we arrived and were not disappointed when shown around and given the necessary information. The nurses are very kind and the activities lady has gone out of her way to help.

I am writing because I would like you to pass onto the senior management at HC-One our grateful thanks for the loving care that you and your amazing team at Harley Grange gave mum over the last year or so.
We couldn't have asked for a better place for her to be as the Parkinsons and Dementia developed
after her hospitalisation at the end of 2015. All your staff showed kindness not only to mum but to us as well and it was the attention to small details in the things you did that made such a big difference.
You have a wonderful team at Elms Road, all of whom definitely work to provide the best and kindest possible care always professional always friendly and always willing to listen and help we really are so grateful to you all.

My mum came to Harley Grange Care Home as her final resting place. We received such kindness and support at this most difficult time. Mums care and comfort was their first priority and myself and the family could not fault this. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we felt extremely welcome to visit

At first, we were very unsure of leaving mum and as a family, all of us felt very sad and that we were letting mum down. However, the staff made us fell so welcome and allowed visits at any time of day or evening. Everyone had a friendly word to say. I could see mum was being looked after well and all
her needs being met. Mum enjoyed the company the meals were good. The environment was clean and tidy, activities provided were good.

Harley Grange Care Home is a pleasant homely care home, with cheerful polite caring staff. We have a very nice room to spend our quiet family time in when visiting. When not being visited residents are well entertained with films, music, games etc laid on by the activities organiser. All national days
of note are celebrated as well as the residents own landmark days, for example, my father recently had a birthday and a quiet table was set up for his family to join him. Decorations were put up, the chef baked him a cake and the staff all signed him a birthday card.

ALL the staff at Harley Grange Care Home have been kind and caring. Before mum moved in, her pictures etc were all put in place. Everyone is happy to answer questions. The food has been specially prepared as mum has trouble chewing. As many of the activities as possible are brought to mum as she cannot
leave her room and it helps her to feel more included.

When viewing the home, the smiles from all members of staff were so welcoming. From day one, the home has given wonderful nursing to my mother with all aspects of the care needed. They have shown softness in their care as if my mother was their mother and for that, I can highly recommend this home.
Harley Grange is clean, the house staff and cooks are professionals in their work. The nurses are gentle, caring and a great asset to this home. Nothing here is too much trouble, so accommodating.

All staff are very friendly. The home and rooms are always clean and well maintained.
Entertainer organiser does an excellent job including all the residents in activities.
We attended a coffee morning that she organised, which was a great success, where she baked cakes to help raise money for the

Harley Grange is a caring place to be. Staff are kind and nothing is too much trouble. Activities are varied and inclusive despite the many residents with profound care needs - visitors are welcomed and made to feel part of the team. I was desperately worried about mum going into a home but also knew

Harley Grange employs an events activities organisers who comes in regularly to engage the residents in various activities. They make crafts, go out on trips eg. to see Christmas lights. They hold events for fundraising and take residents out for meals.
There are organised coffee mornings, remembrance
service, Christmas carol singing etc. This events lady gets relatives involved using their talents, resources eg. I go in to play piano for the residents. They are having a lady in who is well named a 'Laughter facilitator'. These all contribute to the mental well-being of the residents.
