Mum's care since she arrived in August has been excellent. Her needs were sensitively and appropriately assessed, and the transition into care well supported by everyone involved. The team on memory lane in particular have all shown a high level of professionalism and expertise, including some very specialized skills. Mum has not been the easiest dementia resident to care for and the team have shown understanding and patience in their approach. We, as a family, really appreciate this. Mum, as far as her condition allows her to be, is very settled and comfortable.
I am not engaging with the question about value for money as it is depends on for whom. It is doubtless value for money for shareholders and at the expense of residents and staff. The role of private equity in the care system is well documented and the exploitation of residents and staff for profit is the only possible ultimate outcome when private equity is involved.

I am really pleased about the quality of care my mum is receiving. The manager and her whole team go over and above to meet her specific needs. They stay in touch with me and ensure I am aware of falls, gp visits, changes in medication etc. They also pre-empted my request to sit with my mum for a little while following a recent fall when it wasn't possible for a family member to visit. This gives me reassurance and trust in the quality of care my mum needs.
