I came as an emergency on Thursday evening 11th April - I have been truly overwhelmed by the extraordinary kindness, help and understanding from all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble & the staff all are so friendly and kind - I have never felt so overwhelmed with the kindness, understanding and help and support in my whole life - in all the structure of staff from personal care - to being so well fed! delicious food and very quick responses to any needs!

A very big thank-you

My father has been in Tixover House Care Home for 11 months. Reluctant to leave his home but very quickly settled in. The staff are absolutely amazing very caring. Dad looks for nothing. Very good food and meals served in a very civilised fashion so residents can chat and get to know each other. Health care superb someone (nurse or doctor) always on hand if needed. All in all very good, great social functions too.

The General Manager , Ive , made us feel supported as a family , the moment we entered Tixover House .
My husband settled with ease , over the first few weeks , as a special effort was made by everyone, to get to know him and make sure his needs were met . The activities provided are varied and interesting with family and friends being encouraged to visit at any time . The staff engaged fully , always with a smile and happy to help in any way , especially with the smaller things , that make residents feel comfortable and cared for .
My husband enjoyed his meals , taken in an attractive , calm environment .
The garden room has beautiful views over open countryside, where we can chat as a family or play games , just like you would in your own lounge .

I think " home " is the important word . Every effort is made by the staff , to create that feeling of safety ,comfort , kindness and respect for its residents .

We have a monthly get together in the home and have always been treated with help and supplied with tea, coffee and biscuits. We are also invited to activities in the home, and can also have meals on request.

My aunt Kathleen moved to Tixover House in October 2025 as an NHS End of Life placement. However, he health temporarily improved and being at Tixover House made the last 4 months of her life, which meant she was safe, cared for, understood and as happy as she could be. I always felt I was kept informed of any changes in Kath's health and can't thank the caring staff who had involvement in looking after my aunt enough. Thank you so very much!

Our 90-year-old uncle moved into Tixover House initially for emergency respite care. From our first contact, the staff were welcoming, kind, and supportive. The manager kindly visited his home to assess his needs and explain the move in a reassuring manner which helped him feel comfortable and involved in the decision. He settled very well and later chose to stay permanently.
The standard of care was outstanding. Staff were patient, attentive, and treated my uncle with dignity and respect. The home was always spotless, meals were excellent with a choice of a 3 course meal or lighter options prepared by the chef on request. Tea/ coffee homemade cakes were readily available for residents and family. There was a great range of activities and live entertainment.

Sadly, my uncle has since passed away, but during his time at Tixover House he was cared for in a calm, friendly environment filled with kindness and compassion. Our family is extremely grateful for the care and support provided

My uncle was treated with warmth and kindness. He thought it was a hotel at first, and it really does look like a modern hotel. Managers appreciated what a big decision it was for him, and were very supportive of relatives. There were enough care staff, and they were very responsive and smiled a lot. Catering staff were kind and accommodating. He was made to feel valued and cared for, after losing his wife. He was content at Tixover House, and everyone there made his final weeks comfortable. As a relative, I found Tixover House so very welcoming, and I am very grateful to everyone there
