Eccleshare Court Care & Nursing Home

Facilities and activities here are very good and there are some very dedicated and caring staff members. Personal care was mostly good. Management fell short in my opinion which concerned me.

I have found the place pleasant to walk into. The rooms were pleasant and clean. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly to get along with.

Parent sent by the hospital for respite care. Not equipped for bariatric care. Most of the Carers were friendly and encouraging. Very caring if somewhat overworked nursing staff. In house laundry service quite good, although new face cloths and towels permanently disappeared. The food looked and tasted very good. Some food was homemade which was excellent.

Eccleshare Court has provided my mother with exceptional care since she moved in mid-Feb of this year. The staff are simply amazing and everyone treats her with kindness, love, dignity and enthusiasm. Mum has enjoyed frequent trips out to various places and the activities. Staff work tirelessly to provide fun, stimulation and enjoyment for all residents.

Good care. Dad treated with dignity and respect. Staff friendly and helpful lots to do for residents if they want to - not forced into anything they don't want to do. Always clean.

We were very favourably impressed by the facilities and staff at Eccleshare, having witnessed how well cared for our son-in-law’s grandfather was. When the time came for Mum to go into full-time care, due to her advancing dementia, the choice of Eccleshare was an easy one. The decision is not one we have ever had the slightest cause to regret. We have been most particularly impressed by the very caring attitude of all the staff, the excellent activities they run in order to keep the residents entertained and engaged, and how welcoming they have been towards us. We have always been greeted warmly on arrival, and even now that Mum has passed away, we are still encouraged to go in and visit. Children are invited to attend some of the activity sessions, and our young granddaughter has enjoyed these immensely. We would like to express our sincerest thanks to all the staff for the outstanding care Mum received during her time at Eccleshare.

Following an accident in November 2018 I was transferred from hospital to Eccleshare court. Was my experience at Eccleshare court positive? Yes, it was. I was treated with kindness and encouragement, oh and I must add laughter (laughter is a great healer!). I am at home now and I look back on my time at Eccleshare Court. I remember wonderful people doing a wonderful job. Would I recommend Eccleshare Court? Of course, I would!

My mother is happy and well cared for, she always looks content and is occupied with activities or resources appropriate for her Alzheimer's disease. We are relieved to have found a care home that treats my mother with dignity and respect, where she feels at home to be herself and are very grateful to all the staff involved in her care.

I was at Eccleshare House for nearly six weeks. The way I have been looked after has been exemplary. The care workers and nurses are kind, considerate and very helpful.

Very happy with the accommodation. However, the wet room is very cold indeed (February). A grab bar vertical would be very helpful placed to the left of the shower control giving a great sense of security. A suckered basket above shower control would be extremely useful for shampoo/shower gel/sponges/cloths and some hooks for towels/dressing gowns etc on the back of the door are an essential requirement.

As well as my husband's care, the staff were very friendly and helpful and always made me and the family very welcome.

Eccleshare Court is my Aunties home, she is happy, settled and I know she is safe. I receive regular updates on her care and I am always made to feel welcome when I visit. I am actively encouraged to join in activities and I thank everyone for the care and love they give, not only to my Aunt but to the other residents as well. This home is a very special one!

It was my birthday on the day after I arrived and catering staff rustled up a birthday cake, which was a very nice gesture.

She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and tells everyone she wants to be a resident there when the time comes.

The care my mother received while a resident at Eccleshare Court was excellent. She had a complex end of life condition and the support, help and care she received right up to death was appropriate and sensitive. My mum was treated as an individual and with dignity. Thank you.

Respite care after hip fracture. A positive experience. Lovely rooms. Staff very busy but kind and caring. Enjoyed being able to access local park for a change of scene. Lovely sunny cared for garden. Able to have meals in my own room - good menu choice.

My father has been a resident of this care home since July 2017. The quality of care is very good and the staff are excellent. My father has Alzheimer's and views the care facility as his home. We have no concerns regarding his care and were happy to find this "gem" after much research.

The nurses were always willing to answer any concerns that you had.

I spent 4 and a half weeks in rehabilitation following an operation in hospital for cancer. I found the home extremely clean, the room was lovely along with the food and the staff. I made great progress during my stay enjoying the company of the staff who treated me very kindly and helped me become more independent. The kitchen staff also made me special dishes as I was unable to eat everything due to my operation. I was a non-paying user but well satisfied, excellent home.

Not getting his meals and water on time. Not getting personal care properly. Otherwise, everything is fine.
