Eccleshare Court is a purpose-built care home offering nursing, residential and specialist dementia care. The home is located in the quiet residential area of Hartsholme in Lincoln, close to Hartsholme Country Park.

The home features a dementia friendly village with its very own pub, café, shop, hairdressers and nail bar. The facilities provide the opportunity to offer person centred activities in themed areas of the care home. Residents can enjoy dominoes and games in the pub, pampering in the nail bar and socialising and reminiscing over tea and cakes in the café.

The recently refurbished home offers spacious accommodation and each self-contained flat has a kitchenette, sitting area and WC. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with their own furniture. The newly refurbished lounges have a warm, homely feel and themed areas in corridors have been thoughtfully designed to reflect residents' interests and to stimulate reminiscing.

I wouldn't even send my dying dog into this place as the care you get is minimal and if you have a particular reason for extra care then it is not adhered to, and thus, your family or friend suffer more than they should. And, if you are medically trained and ask questions they hate answering them.
Thats even if you can get through on the phone at all, especially on the weekends. And god forbid you ask for a callback, thats a big nono, and if we had the chance to pick again, then it would definitely not be here.

My husband has been a resident in Eccleshare Court since 2017. The home is a friendly community with a big heart. The food is wonderful and the home is clean and comfortable. The care he receives is simply lovely, the staff are thoughtful, kind knowledgeable, and most importantly, caring, led by a manager
who has installed a sense of pride and commitment to the work they all do. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to them the feeling of leaving your beloved husband to be cared for by others is the worst decision I have ever made, but they have all supported both of us, and I know my husband is cared for with dignity and love...Thank you all.

I am so grateful to Eccleshare and all of the staff. After my mother left her fourth care home in 3 years I despaired of ever finding somewhere suitable for her where people would truly care for her as though she were in her own home - I need not have worried. Eccleshare Court is exemplary. After experiencing
a number of care homes I have come to the conclusion that they are only as good as the manager running it - the manager here is a consummate professional and deserves recognition for the efficient and caring way she runs her home. The home is spotlessly clean and I am astonished at the high level of catering, the loving care shown by carers, the knowledge shown of dementia and how to best treat their residents. My heart is so full - and so is my sisters; we are at last at peace knowing that our beloved mum is so well cared and catered for. We're longing for the day when we can visit her again. And so, I say again - thank you Eccleshare and thank you to the manager.

My father was a resident of Eccleshare Court from October 2019 until he sadly passed away in December 2020. During this time my father's health was up and down but the excellent care and compassion shown was constant. The love for my father was evidenced on a daily basis. The kind of home, which afforded
me much-needed comfort and assurance, could only have been achieved with the strong leadership and clear vision of the manager. The friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff during the unprecedented impact of the Covid pandemic enabled me to sleep at night and my father was kept comfortable and safe. Eccleshare Court became an extended family and relatives were always welcomed as such. Eccleshare Court provided an excellent standard of care as well as a stimulating environment with activities that were appropriate and not patronising. It is so sad that the strict protocols required to keep residents safe from covid hindered visiting, some events and activities. I have and will continue to strongly recommend Eccleshare Court!

My father was resident here for 12 months from November 2019 to November 2020 (as was my late mother from 2015-2017).
We chose Eccleshare Court for my father as my late mother was so well looked after here by the caring staff and at the time my father told us that he would like to be here if he needed
care! My dad was well looked after and enjoyed the time he was here and always mentioned how he enjoyed his cooked breakfasts! Our thanks to the care and nursing Staff here for looking after him so well especially towards the end of his life. A testament to the home is that one of his friends visited him and was so impressed with the facilities here that he said he would choose to go there.
A very pleasant environment managed very well with wonderful staff, many of whom appear to have been working here for some years. We would highly recommend this home.

My father first went into Eccleshare Court as a care home resident in January 2018 aged 97. More recently, he has moved on to full nursing care and celebrated his hundredth birthday in September. I am most grateful to one particular member of staff for liaising with me and enthusiastically making all
arrangements for his special day under the COVID restrictions. What a great job she did. Both he and I found the first few months a difficult, although necessary, transition. However, we were treated throughout this difficult time with great patience and respect from every member of staff and the manager was always available to discuss any concerns, as were the nursing staff and that has remained consistent throughout. Nothing can ever be perfect, however, all aspects at Eccleshare Court are of a consistently high standard and with some disturbing stories we hear of these establishments, I am so pleased we chose Eccleshare Court and have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

Mum was a resident at Eccleshare from June-July 2020. The care, love and support for Mum from all perspectives, and throughout her stay was outstanding. Mum started her care with advanced dementia and sadly ended her time with palliative care. The care, compassion and professionalism was centred around
Mum but extended to immediate family members including my dad, brother, his family and even providing my family regular updates in Australia. To achieve this level of service is tough at the best of times but to maintain it during a pandemic is unfathomable and something clearly down to a fantastic team and beautiful, empathetic, first-class professionals. Thank you so much for ‘everything’ you did for our mum during her last weeks and making her stay as happy and comfortable as possible. It was a godsend to find you and we’ll happily promote your services to anyone we meet in a similar situation.

I broke my leg April 13th. After being sent to hospital I got sent to Eccleshare Court, the care I received was excellent. The care from the carers was excellent. I can't give enough praise. The care I got was awesome.

My husband became a resident in October 2019 until his death in March 2020, having lived with Lewy Body Dementia for four years. The care, support and empathy shown by everyone at Eccleshare has been exceptional and I can honestly say my husband lived the best quality of life he could with his dementia,
owing to the understanding and knowledge the team have. The environment is amazing and different activities are available daily. You all made a very difficult period of time in our lives, much easier, thank you.

The care my mother received was second to none. Sadly she wasn't at the home for very long as she went into hospital not long after she moved in, when she came out of hospital she was given end of life care, which was everything I could ask for. Mum was cared for and treated with respect and dignity,
nothing was too much trouble and myself and my family were never made to feel anything but welcome at all times. I'm truly grateful for the way my mum was cared for. Eccleshare Court is a very special place, run by very special people.

I was dreading the day my mum had to go into a care home. After much looking and scrutinizing we visited Eccleshare I didn't want my mum somewhere big but as soon as we walked in it felt right and we as a family were sold! Everything and everybody is brilliant, the couple of teething problems we have
had were resolved quickly. Mum now looks well and more importantly I know she is safe and well cared for. A care home is the worst decision we have to make but if you're reading this, believe me, I looked at 9 places and this one certainly does deliver its promises.

My husband has attended Eccleshare Court for some months for both daycare and respite care. He thoroughly enjoys his days and is always well entertained and looked after. The service and support we have received from everyone working in the home has been outstanding, from the receptionist to the manager.
I have had some very difficult times with my husband but the support, particularly from the manager has been beyond expectations.
Incidents have occurred during the two respite periods he stayed in Eccleshare Court but these were managed and sorted before my return. The second incident involved an emergency meeting with the local hospital and hours were spent by staff in the meeting trying to sort out and secure my husband’s future. Whenever you visit the home, you see respect, care and kindness being given to all the residents.

My father came here after a couple of other local homes weren't giving him the care I expected. He had a number of illnesses and went downhill rapidly and was on an end of life care plan. It was heartbreaking for us. Our dad was permanently in bed and a shell of the man he was. We never expected him
to get out of bed again. However, during his last few weeks, he perked up. Staff got him out of bed in a wheelchair and mixing with the other residents and joining in with the activities. The staff including the manager were caring, supportive and compassionate. The reception staff when we turned up were always very welcoming and we were comforted that we knew our dad was being treated with dignity and respect. When it was his birthday, a cake and buffet were put on making his last birthday special for him and us. I can't thank the staff enough for treating him as an individual and making his last few months comfortable.

My aunt has been a resident at Eccleshare Court for around eight years. She is content, happy and very well looked after, by caring and attentive staff, at every level.
This is a great comfort to her family, none of whom live locally. We have confidence that her well being is of the highest standard
and higher than other care homes I have had dealings with in various parts of the country.
Celebrations for her very special birthday were a joy for all residents.

Parent sent by the hospital for respite care. Not equipped for bariatric care. Most of the Carers were friendly and encouraging. Very caring if somewhat overworked nursing staff. In house laundry service quite good, although new face cloths and towels permanently disappeared. The food looked and tasted
very good. Some food was homemade which was excellent.

Lisa has been with Country Court for over 15 years, previously managing Swanholme Court and working as Deputy Manager at its sister home Eccleshare Court. Her hard work and dedication were recognised with a staff award for treating residents, staff & relatives with dignity, respect, care & compassion.

David Stacey

Job Title: RMN Nurse

Joined: 2018

David joined Eccleshare Court in April 2018, after working as an agency nurse and had done some shifts at Eccleshare over the previous 2-3 months. He really liked the home, so he applied for a permanent role. Prior to this, he worked for United Health in care homes in Lincoln and Scunthorpe so he was familiar with the care home environment.


David felt that he could use his skills in a more meaningful way in a care home, as nurses have much more time with people and don’t just treat them and move them on as quickly as possible. In a care home you get to know a person’s medical history but also their personal background enabling you to build long term relationships not just with them but their families too. You make connections with people that you just don’t get working in acute care. The goal here is about enabling people to have the best possible quality of life.

Noel is our Chef Manager at Eccleshare Court he is a highly skilled chef with a background in catering onboard cruise ships.
Noel works closely with the care team, residents and their families to understand everyone's individual preferences and nutrition needs. He takes care to ensure that he asks for feedback by speaking to residents regularly about their meals.


Noel and his team provide fresh cakes every day in our coffee shop for residents to enjoy with their visitors. Noel is especially creative with celebration cakes for birthdays and special events and ensures that every resident has a personalised birthday cake.
