A lovely place with superbly friendly staff. The staff work incredibly hard under difficult circumstances most of the time. Despite my father's ailments and persistent moaning, the staff so an amazing job.

I have not enough words to describe the outstanding care Ashwood Care & Nursing Home provides for not only the residents but also the family members of the residents. Ashwood looked after my mum in the final 6 weeks of her life, every carer and nurse who we had contact with during this time were respectful,
kind, extremely caring and compassionate. I cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you Ashwood and the incredible team including the receptionist and admin team, you made an extremely horrible event so peaceful and me and my family can’t thank you enough.

We could not have asked for better care for my husband. He was treated with love, care and respect. We also appreciated how they looked after the whole family and made a very sad and difficult time much more bearable. We felt we were amongst friends and people we could trust.

My mother was transferred to Ashwood in the middle of the pandemic lockdown with severe vascular dementia. She had, in her last home and hospital, been agitated and angry about her condition and 'being in a home' but after a few weeks at Ashwood, she became calmer and content. Her recent death was beautifully
and gently handled. The care, attention, and personal treatment that she received at Ashwood was brilliant and made her last 2 years as peaceful and calm as could have been wished. Thank you.

Although my mum who has Vascula Dementia says she wants to get out, I realise she is not aware of her surroundings and when we took her home to ours to eat, she knew where her home was, which I was pleased about. The home is always bright and airy with a lovely outlook, similar to mum's old surroundings.
The staff are friendly and look after mum generally very well.

Ashwood Care & Nursing Home moved heaven and earth to get my wife admitted when it became impossible to care for her at home any longer. They have kept us fully informed about her care and her well-being as well as helping and advising us through the process of applying for a permanent place.

My nephew's dad and my brother-in-law went into Ashwood Care Home in Spalding on the 11th of July 2022. I cannot praise the staff enough, they went above and beyond with their care. Sadly my nephew's dad and my brother-in-law passed away on the 30th July. Once again thank you to everybody for your support
at this very sad time.

My father was transferred to Ashwood from hospital as he needed constant care although before this he never wanted to enter a care home he now does not want to leave it. He has constant attention, help, and care, he loves the food and the friendliness of all staff who even notice when he doesn’t feel
himself and he says he could not cope with the loneliness and not being able to cope if he went back home. He sounds and looks very happy and is always dressed smartly something which he was unable to do due to his rheumatoid arthritis. I am glad dad is happy as he needs to talk and be with people since mum died. It gives me the peace of mind that he is happy well looked after and cared for as he also had several falls when at home. I thank all the staff who are hard-working and caring.

Like many people, I was worried and anxious about mum going into a care home but I found the staff at Ashwood helped make it as stress-free as possible. They answer the phone and deal directly with any concerns, as mum says “nothing is too much trouble”. I am kept informed of any issues with mum either
by phone or in person. The home is bright and airy, the infection control is thorough and the cleanliness is of a high standard. I find the staff cheerful and friendly and helpful.

My uncle has lived here for some months and he is very happy, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for him but the staff have cared for him really well during his ups and downs. I am kept up to date with news etc and I can’t fault their kindness. I would like to say if anyone is thinking about a home for
their loved one I would strongly suggest a visit.

Mum has only been a resident here for a short while but so far the care she has received has been very good. We've had one or two settling in issues but nothing major.
Such a shame Mum isn't eating as the food here looks amazing.

Dad has now been a resident for over 18 months. His care from the outset has been exceptional with the carers and all medical and other staff treating him with respect, kindness and compassion at all times. And always very professional. Covid then presented a whole host of logistical problems for Ashwood
and all care homes. I believe Ashwood took the only sensible and pragmatic approach by restricting access to relatives until after the home was virus free and then employing strict safety protocols. As always, Ashwood put the safety and care of its residents at the forefront which was always reassuring for relatives. During these extremely difficult times, all staff have maintained their professionalism throughout and there remains a very positive and friendly atmosphere within the home, which is a great comfort to residents and relatives alike.
