I am extremely happy with all aspects of care my Mum receives from all of the staff at Ashwood. They are a great team. They show compassion, respect and value her privacy and dignity. We have a video call twice a week which my sister and I look forward to. We are able to see how well cared for and how
comfortable and settled she is. The home itself is lovely and bright and is spotlessly clean and fresh. There are comfortable airy lounges to sit in. Mum’s possessions are respected and she can personalise her room. Her clothes are laundered and organised very well. All in all, Ashwood lives up to my expectations on how a Nursing/Care home should be. My sister and I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is being expertly cared for.

My relative has been in the Home for about a year. During this time I have found the staff to be very caring and attentive. Although I am unable to visit my relative very often, I am kept well informed of his condition on a regular basis either by email or telephone. I would have no hesitation in recommending

Throughout the time my husband has been in Ashwood it has been so encouraging to see the way he has received such good care in every area of his individual needs. I have a continuing sense of peace and gratitude knowing that he is safe and so well cared for especially during the past year which has
been so challenging for us all. Ashwood staff are always approachable, helpful and working so hard to maintain a good standard of care even in the most difficult of circumstances and have done an excellent job coping with all the extra demands on them during the past year. As a relative of a resident, I am so grateful for all that my loved one daily receives especially while my contact with him is so restricted at this present time. It gives me peace of mind to know that he is in excellent hands in a safe and secure environment. Ashwood is a lovely place filled with lovely staff who are dedicated and committed to their work who have created a special place for our loved ones to call home.

Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly and professional. They all try that extra half mile especially during the settling in period. Would not be surprised if the home's team mantra was; 'Nothing is too much trouble!'

My mother has been in residence here for over a year. I have found the facility to be of a constant very high standard. The staff are absolutely capable and wonderful and caring people. Mother has had a few health problems for many years these were taken on board and have been looked after in an amazing
way. Her care has been exceptional and I could not praise this establishment enough to do it justice. Let's just say if I ever need this type of care I would be more than happy to be there myself. I think that is the best way in which I could describe it.

My dad was a respite resident for 5 weeks from mid-January 2020 while my mum was in hospital. He was physically very able, but suffered from vascular dementia. The care he received at Ashwood was excellent. He was treated with kindness, care, understanding and dignity, and always as an individual with
his personal likes and dislikes etc. We felt that Dad was in a really safe and caring environment. The home was always spotlessly clean, and never had that awful smell that a lot of homes have. There was plenty of room for Dad to walk around as much and as often as he liked, and when the weather permitted he was sometimes taken for a walk outside. One of the highlights for him was being taken out in the minibus for coffee (weekly?). There were activities for the residents if they chose to take part, although Dad was happy just to watch on many occasions. A really lovely home.

For the family of any resident in a care home, it is important that you can be one hundred percent satisfied that your loved one is totally cared for in all aspects of their daily needs
As the daughter of a resident who has been at the home for over two years, I am totally assured from what I have
witnessed, first hand, that my Mother has the best possible care she deserves at this time of her life.

I have been extremely happy with the service being provided for my father by Ashwood Care Home. As I live a long distance away in Manchester I was not able to be there when my father was transferred the home. Covid-19 has also meant that I can only contact my father by telephone.
As he had only the
clothes that he was wearing, one of the staff went shopping and purchased some new clothes for him. The Management team also arranged for a member of staff to travel to his home to pick up his glasses and some additional items of clothing for him. This to my mind is outstanding service and I would have no hesitation of recommending Ashwood House to care for a loved one.

My mother was unfortunately only in the home a short while before she passed away. The staff could not have looked after her better. She was very well treated with respect and dignity. Cannot praise staff highly enough.

My dad was instantly made to feel welcome in this beautiful home. The staff take the time to get to know residents and are always polite and friendly to visitors. The food is of a high standard and the menu is varied so always something for everyone.
The home itself is spotlessly clean and has a lovely
courtyard garden where residents are safe and secure. The two lounges offer comfy seating away from the rooms if residents and visitors wish to use them.

The staff at Ashwood have worked with my mother since her arrival from hospital. She was brought to Ashwood after a stroke which had resulted in severe deterioration of her dementia, partial blindness and challenging behaviour - stemming from anxiety. The staff have worked with her, her GP practise
and our family to help her settle, relieve her anxiety and recover some of her cognitive abilities. They are highly skilled and caring. The home is beautifully maintained, clean and cheerful.

Always found standards of care extremely high. Aunt was here 4 years and never a sign of bedsores - excellent work given to her skin.

Mum has had absolutely the best of care since being at Ashwood nursing home. A very poorly lady when she arrived. Thanks to the excellent care her blood sugar is now stable and her blood pressure is good. She has just been well enough to take part in her first trip out to visit the Tuesday Market in

You cannot fault this nursing home - the staff are caring, professional and go way beyond just basic caring. They spend time with the residents and make the visitor welcome. I have never seen any staff without a smile on their faces. Food is second to none, the chef will go beyond and above, nothing
is too much trouble, if you want to eat something special it's done! The whole environment and atmosphere of the home is wonderful. I want to go there when it's my time!

My dad couldn't wait to leave this home. He hated it there and became really depressed due to extremely poor standard of food and drink quality and being abruptly awoken every day at 5am to do routine bedding changes to save day staff doing it. Not all it's cracked up to be. My dad left early as
he was so fed up. Avoid and don't be taken in by the posh furniture and décor, it's a cover-up for poor standards. Needs major improvements. I would hate to stay there myself and couldn't wait to take my dad back home out of there.

My mum arrived here after living all her life in London. She immediately commented on the welcoming feeling the home gave her. So far, in the 10 days she has been here, the difference it has made to her physical and mental wellbeing has been very noticeable. The rooms and surroundings are very good,
which, coupled with the wonderful staff make a stay in such an environment a very positive experience.
