Mum has always been looked after well. Staff were helpfully & caring. Mum saw her days out @ Grosvenor & was looked after with care & dignity. Grosvenor House Care Home provided exceptional care for mum and we are deeply grateful for everything the team did for her. The staff both caring and nursing are outstanding. They combine professionalism with genuine kindness, always treating residents with dignity, patience and warmth. The home offers a wide range of activities and the visiting pianist was a particular highlight for mum. The lovely gardens and coffee area are beautifully kept and offer a peaceful space for residents and family. Mum's palliative care was handled brilliantly by the team, in her final hours she was treated with absolute respect and compassion, it was clear she received the best possible care. Thank you Grosvenor House.

Mam was here 5/6 years, and was happy, the staff kept her on her toes and made her happy. Management always given things to do, Mum loved to join in to her ability. Lovely home, plenty to eat, and entertainment very good. Always warm and a big outside garden, with livestock. The residents all seem happy. Plenty for residents to do, if they ask. 10/10 all the way.

Our father was only at Grosvenor House for around 10 weeks but the care could not have been better. From the moment he arrived we were treated with kindness and consideration. Nothing was ever too much trouble. In his last 24 hours of life both myself and siblings were with him, we were cared for as if we were members of the family. My father died peacefully.

What an absolutely wonderful care home this is! From the first meeting to assess mum's needs, it was obvious just how much the staff care for their residents. The knowledge that the nursing team had of Parkinson's enabled mum to receive the care specific to her needs. Although mum was nearing the end of her life, what little time she had left was enhanced greatly by the care she received from all staff at Grosvenor House. As a family, we are truly grateful to everyone here for looking after our mum so well and welcoming us whenever we visited. Everyone here works so hard but they do so with a smile and always found time to update us on mum, or stop for a friendly chat. Thank you all for making our mum's last few weeks peaceful and for doing so with so much care and empathy!

After Mum spent 4 months in another care home all I can say is the difference is amazing . As the previous reviewer stated I wished she had gone to them earlier. I know mum is not going to be as independant as she was before but she did more in 3 weeks than she did in the 4 months in the other home. The events that are designed to make residents take part accutlly happen and the staff encourage every one to take part, evevn if they are in bed they get them there. Thank you for making my mum not only happy but feeling cared for.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Grosvenor for all the care and support they give to mum, the home is beautifully decorated and really feels like a home from home, nothing is too much trouble to ensure mum is made to feel safe and comfortable but she is still able to retain a feeling of independence. Mum has been able to bring in some of her own furniture and ornaments so her room feels like 'hers'. The food is excellent and hot drinks and smiles always available.

Hi, I’m Megan. I’ve been working at Grosvenor House since 2021, when I first joined the team supporting people with video calling during the Covid pandemic. It was such a rewarding experience helping residents stay connected with their loved ones during a difficult time, and it inspired me to progress further in care.

Since then, I’ve become a Care Assistant and achieved my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I’m really keen to keep learning, developing my skills, and expanding my knowledge so I can provide the best possible support to the people we care for.

I absolutely love my role and take pride in making a difference every day. Making people smile is the best part of my job — whether that’s through a chat, a laugh, or singing and dancing along to some country music together!
