I cannot say how thankful I am to the staff and carers at Elmwood House. My father spent his last two weeks here. Everyone was wonderful. They made his last time on earth pain-free, with their love and care. I understand this is their job but the love and care were so genuine, I could not have done
more myself.

Our mum and dad were both here, the staff are excellent. They take really good care of residents. Unfortunately, Dad just passed away. Very compassionate and caring - cannot thank them enough.

Both parents have been very happy living in Elmwood House. They are given excellent care by the staff at all times. Staff are friendly and caring and liaise well with the family as the need arises.
The rooms are comfortable and are now in the process of being refurbished which will bring them up to
even higher standards.

The overall standard of care for Mum is excellent. She always seems to be treated with great care and dignity.

When I have visited my friend at Elmwood I have found all the staff kind, approachable and caring. The home itself could benefit from an update. More visitor parking would be helpful.

As you may be aware from your visit in December 2018, we have commenced a full refresh of the home to include all communal areas and bedrooms. We will also be developing new areas, such as a café in the new entrance – all of which will promote our residents’ wellbeing within the home. Parking at the home is currently being reviewed by our Estates Team to try to achieve optimal use of existing space.

When I first called Elmwood House Care Home (unannounced visit, purely as I was passing), I was met and welcomed from the first minute. Everyone was very friendly indeed. I was shown round in detail and had time to ask questions - nothing seemed too much trouble. Everyone welcomed my mum and made her
feel at home for her short stay.

What a lovely home Elmwood House Care Home is. From entering the building I felt relaxed and everyone was helpful with a smile. I would call it top class 5 star. The whole place is clean and a fresh smell to it. The office staff are very polite with a good attitude all with impeccable manners. Rooms
are spacious and light. My mother was only in Elmwood for a few days before she died, but I was more than happy with the way she was treated. Well done Elmwood.

Staff are very kind, but at weekends are under a lot of pressure as they are very often short of staff and take time to come to bells. Often miss out on the once a week bath.

The home is very friendly and welcoming. The staff seem very caring and provide some good activities. Residents decorate their rooms as they wish and have a choice of lounges to use. The gardens are beautiful and mum likes to sit outside and watch the ducklings on the pond whilst having an ice cream.
The food is homemade and mum has put weight on! Lots of visitors who join in. Glad we chose this place, they look after mum very well.

What does ‘kind care’ mean to you?


“To bring a smile to the face of each resident I speak with, and to make sure each resident is comfortable, pain free and happy.”


As a Registered Nurse, Liliana has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Liliana closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Liliana remarked:


“I love being able to make decisions that help our residents, and I also like being here for my colleagues when they need me.


I like to work with people, for people. My biggest sense of achievement at work is when people feel they can trust me.”


Outside of work, Liliana enjoys traveling, especially meeting new people and learning about different cultures, customs and traditions. She also likes listening to music.
