The home has a warm and friendly atmosphere. All the staff from reception when you enter carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and manager all provide an excellent standard of care with a smile. My late mother was beautifully cared for in the three months she was a resident. I couldn't have asked for more. I was always kept fully informed regarding her care. The highest accolade I can give is that it is where I want to be if I need care.
In its revamped form Priory Court aims for and achieves the "luxury hotel" look. Everything is in its place and looks right. Staff are attentive, the food is generally good, there is a programme of activities which are posted on Facebook. And yet. My mother doesn't want to live in a luxury hotel. She wants companionship above all else. The residents' lounges are normally empty. Most residents appear to spend their days in their own rooms. If your elderly relative is happy with his or her own company, Priory Court could be a good fit. It wasn't for my mother.
Visiting Priory Court Care Home and I could not believe the difference in a few months. Staff very friendly, residents well cared for and happy, manager very visible and knowledgeable. Residents all knew her and staff seem to have improved, new decor, lovely I want to move in.
My mother was bedridden for the last 5 months of her life. She was well cared for and had all her personal care needs met. The staff, especially the nurses, communicated well with the family and kept us informed of any changes. The house is being upgraded and the better environment has had a positive impact on staff and residents.
My dad has stayed in a number of care homes around the area, and this is by far the best. It is outstanding, particularly since being taken over by avery, and the new manager. Exceptional comfort, entertainment and warmth from almost all carers
The home was always very clean and tidy. Facilities were very good, as was the food. We found all the staff were very kind to my mother and treated her with the utmost dignity (although she could be difficult). At first we considered placing her in a cheaper home (saving £800 per month) but we are now pleased we did not!
My mother was a resident for a short time and was looked after very well.
