Overall Experience

My mother was a resident from June 2025 till Sept 2025. She was extremely well looked after. Her need changed throughout her stay and staff were all very caring and considerate throughout her stay and staff were all very caring and considerate towards her needs. She was inundated with love and support in her final hours. If I am ever in need of care this is where I would like to be. I can't thank the staff enough.

Dad has been in Willoughby Grange Care Home for 9 months this month. He has sadly been in bed that whole time but every day we go he is clean and shaved (something that was always important to him) warm and comfortable. Anytime he's had any pain or discomfort it has been dealt with quickly. To us as a family, we are greeted every day with smiles and friendly chats from all members of staff and hugs when needed. We know that the staff have a hard job but to hear them happy in what they do is lovely.

Willoughby Grange Care Home is a wonderful nursing home, the emphasis is on care with love, kindness and attention to the resident. The compassion does not just stop with the resident but extends to their family members who are also going through the trauma of change or end-of-life care. They are always willing to take time out of their busy schedule to explain the treatment given and what effect it will have. Many thanks.

My uncle received exceptional care during the three years he spent in Willoughby Grange. They were difficult times during the pandemic, but we were kept informed at all times. The staff were considerate, compassionate and very professional. Their nursing care was particularly good. We felt my uncle was safe, happy and in extremely good hands. I wish all nursing homes had such excellent leadership.

I am very pleased with the care my grandma receives. She is happy here. The staff seem very attentive, caring and kind. My grandma is always clean, well-fed and monitored to ensure she is eating and drinking enough. Staff ensure that Grandma also has clean clothes; they are washed regularly.

The home is a home. The staff and management all care and that means a lot for the residents and families. I wish my late father had been in Willoughby care home. As I feel my relative had a loving, caring place to be.

My mum came from a different care home to Willoughby Grange underweight, very frightened and very sad. With her having dementia this was very worrying but after being in Willoughby Grange for a few weeks she has put on weight and was smiling. She can get very aggressive with the carers because of her dementia but all the carers are gentle and kind to her and with their patience they have built her trust.

My mother has recently moved to Willoughby Grange. I have found the kindness of the staff brilliant. She wants for nothing, and although, is taking some time to settle in, she is treated with respect and her wishes are considered always. I am extremely happy with the care she is receiving from you.

The family of the resident are very happy with the care and environment. We feel our family member's needs are very well catered for and the staff know our family member very well. The care home is friendly and the company that owns it appears to be investing to make improvements.

I am really glad my mum is in Willoughby Grange. I have experienced other homes and they do not come close to the care and friendliness of the staff. All of the staff are kind and helpful and will talk to you and answer any questions. Everywhere is kept nice and nothing is too much trouble when Mum needs anything.

I can't speak highly enough of the manager and staff at Willoughby Grange. My parents have been so lucky to have been cared for by this outstanding place. As a family, decisions and complications when deciding what is best for your loved ones are traumatic and heartbreaking, but I can truly say that this home has engaged with us (4 siblings) and helped us through what has been harrowing times as both parents have been very ill. They go the extra mile, and we all have been treated with nothing but kindness and consideration. First-class.

Care home standard: rooms are clean, tidy and staff are excellent. The downstairs need to be replaced with PVC, other floors are already done. There is now not a minibus as before to take residents out. Also, the outside space could be better used, a courtyard.
