Kenroyal Nursing in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire has been set up to ensure a versatile lifestyle for elderly and vulnerable residents with care needs.

My 94 year old mother-in-law became a resident at Kenroyal after a couple of weeks in hospital with a broken ankle. She was bed-bound and confused. Her dementia meant she hadn't understood how the virus had changed life over the last 12 months and she couldn't retain the information. I'm sure she felt
abandoned and miserable.
When it was obvious her condition was deteriorating rapidly I was able to visit and thus able to see what a marvellous place Kenroyal is.
The home manager is a wonderful lady; kind, thoughtful, always kept her promises and is very obviously completely respected by all the staff.
On my visits, I was greeted warmly by all members of staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The home is incredibly clean and well decorated and Covid precautions are fully observed. My mother-in-law was treated with gentle care and respect but died after only 4 weeks in the home. I am confident she was comfortable and cared for.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kenroyal.

Both my parents were residents until my mother sadly passed away. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are wonderful. They treat everyone with respect and dignity. I couldn't ask for a better place for my parents.

Mum came to Kenroyal after a bewildering stay in hospital and rehabilitation units. She settled straight away - said that the food was lovely and that it was a lovely place. We could see that mum was cared for with dignity. The manager made time to keep us informed on Mum's health and well-being. As
mum deteriorated and we were allowed to visit (COVID aware) we saw how spotlessly clean and fresh looking the care home is. The nurses and carers all treated mum as they would one of their own. I would not hesitate to recommend Kenroyal. Excellent palliative care.

My mum was moved here from the hospital and received nothing but excellent care from the day she arrived. Although she deteriorated quickly, I am confident that her last few weeks were comfortable as they could be, due to the care of the manager and her team. Whenever we contacted the home, we were
always treated with kindness and compassion, which was much appreciated, especially at such a strange and difficult time. Thank you, all.

Excellent home, the manager is always available and polite. She is totally dedicated to ensuring the residents are looked after and treated with dignity and respect.
My father-in-law has been there several years and has been looked after well, there has never been any cause for concern he is very
happy there.

My father was admitted to Kenroyal from his local hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic. The care my father received from the staff at the home was outstanding. They showed empathy and compassion to my father and his family at a very difficult time in our lives. Although all care homes were not permitting
visitors, they kindly allowed our family to see my father from a distance whilst we stood in the car park. Sadly my father's health deteriorated due to residual effects of his illness. Instead of taking him back to hospital we decided that he would receive the best care for his condition at Kenroyal. The staff kept our family informed when we phoned to see how he was progressing. We were blessed to have spent some quality time with my father prior to him passing peacefully in his sleep.
I would highly recommend this care home due to its high standard of care and compassion.

Mum is very happy at Kenroyal and is treated with respect. I cannot go to Wellingborough very often but when I do I am always made welcome by the manager and all the staff. It has been good to know that during this lockdown, Mum has been well looked after which eases any worries I might have. It is
so nice to visit a clean and welcoming home. Thank you to the manager and all the staff that have done a remarkable job during this difficult time.

The Kenroyal provided superb care to my father, who had dementia. He was always treated with great dignity by all the staff, who worked extremely hard to make each person's time with them as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The home was very well managed by the manager, who worked harder than
anyone else, yet always had time to discuss each resident. Even under the pressure of Covid-19, her support and patience did not waver.
The facilities provided were of a very high standard, kept scrupulously clean. The food and drink were both excellent. Activities were provided by the charming, helpful and extremely positive activities lady. My father always felt safe and secure there.


Overall, superb value for money. Well done and thank you, Kenroyal!

My wife's treatment and care were of the utmost importance to the staff and management. She was given first-class respect as were we, the visitors. If only all nursing homes were run on the same principles nobody would be apprehensive about being a resident. I shall always be grateful to Kenroyal.

I am very happy with Mum's care. I am not at all worried. I am very pleased the way Mum responds to carers and interacts with activities. The food is really tasty and Mum enjoys all of her meals. We visit daily and we are always made welcome as if it is our home as well as Mums. The manager is very
hands-on and very approachable. All staff are always friendly and smiling.

From the moment you enter this beautiful building, there is an incredible smile and greeting, whether it's one of the guys or girls who opens the door. The next thing is the colour and warmth that continues throughout the building. Our loved ones have the best environment and care.
I also feel when
visiting Kenroyal that care is extended to us, we are always asked how we are coping. That's a good feeling, so when I leave my sister to go home, I am leaving my sister in safe hands. This is an amazing care home, with an amazing staff.

Whenever I visit, the staff are always friendly and the home is always clean. All the residents seem happy, I know my auntie loved it here. Also, whenever she was ill, the staff are on it immediately and we are notified. It's a brilliant place and also the gardens are beautiful.

My grandfather is new to Kenroyal. The care he received is far superior to that of previous placements.
His attitude and demeanour are notably improved since moving here. The staff are always attentive and kind, nothing is too much trouble for residents and visitors alike. Cooperation between management
and family is excellent, ensuring that both my grandfather and the family are confident in the placement.

The manager and staff are all warm, friendly, efficient and helpful. This is my father's 5th care home and the only one he has wanted to remain in. He says he feels comfortable, safe and well cared for. He is always well presented with cut nails and tidy hair. 10/10 is his score for the meals.

My mother was in Kenroyal Nursing home for two years and four months and they made her final years happy, bust and fun. The entertainment is daily i.e, bingo, bowling, art and crafts. It's a joy to see pictures of Mum busy and having fun. Great leadership skills from manager and nurses. We love the
fact that you see the same staff daily, very low turnover of staff which help both you and the residents in continuity. Total professionalism on Mum's passing and all staff couldn't do enough for us. Thank you.

My mother's time in Kenroyal was the best that she could have had. She went in from hospital and from the very first day it was the very best. She was cared for with the utmost respect, always looked happy and enjoyed all of the time with residents and staff. She could not have had a better place to
spend her last months of her life. We will always be grateful for the care she received from all members of staff.

My mother went to Kenroyal from hospital. She was unable to care for herself or walk. The staff cared for her until her death. We are thankful that she was transferred to the right place and lived safely in her last years.

My Dad was here for seven months before he died in hospital. He was well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The staff are all amazing and the nurses were quick to notice when my Dad became ill. All the staff were so kind to us and the manager always kept us informed. She has an open door
