My wife was placed into Carlton Care Home after being at the Brain Injury Unit. she was bed bound and suffered delirium, she was treated with care, the staff were very good, especially the 2 ladies that cleaned her room, they were superb and went above what their job entailed. Most of the staff were friendly and could not help enough, meals were mostly very good but my wife hated anything with more salt and pepper or anything slightly spicey, the staff were brilliant. her room was kept very clean and tidy, the only moan I had with the room was that my wife was bedbound and all she could see was through a window that was high off the ground and all she could see was the eve of a building and the sky. she was asked many times to be taken out of bed but she had a fear of the hoist, so the staff had to abide by her wishes. the management were excellent and I wish I could have said thank you to the unit manager but she was on leave, I will say it here, THANK YOU to all for your hard work.
Thank you for your kind words, I will share this with our team.I hope # has settled back at home, she is greatly missed.Take care and give her our love.
I can not thank the staff at Carlton Care Home enough. My dad has been in there nearly 2 years. They provide an outstanding service to my dad, nothing is to much trouble for them. I would highly recommend Carlton Care Home because everyone who works there strives to provide excellent service. Thank you all so much for taking care of my dad.
Thank you.I will share your kind words with our team.
Mum spent the final 18 months of her life at Carlton Care Home when dementia and safeguarding issues made it impossible for her to live at home. During her time there she was treated with care, dignity, and love by all involved with her care. Everybody loved her and I was happy that she had gone into a home from home who looked after her like family. Myself and my wife got to know the majority of the staff there and cannot praise them highly enough. The care and nursing standards were beyond reproach. Again myself and my wife would like to say a personal thank you to everyone there for their love and dedication to my mum during her sad decline into the hinterlands of dementia.
Thank you so much for your kind words.I will pass your praise onto our staff.Thank you again.
Such a fabulous home that is well run with amazing staff that truly care, My mum spent 4 years here and we were so with happy with her care, we have nothing but praise for this care home, its was my mums home and she was happy.
Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure looking after mum, she was a part of our family and is missed. We all wish you and the family all the best.
Mum has now moved back to her home town having resided at Carlton Care Home for the last year. We have always been happy with the standard of care and staff interaction during a particularly difficult period for my mum both emotionally and health wise. They have always listened to and acted on our concerns, both from a medical and motivational point of view. Thank you the the manager and the team.
Thank you for a lovely review. We're pleased that mum is closer to her friends. It was a pleasure caring for her.
Dad was placed in Carlton's care home in December 2023. We were nervous about his move to another home due to a past experience; however, upon admission, we felt happy, relieved, and confident in the staff and care provided at Carlton Care Home. Staff were always friendly, caring, well trained, and provided excellent care to residents. They always kept us up to date about Dad's care. The care home feels like a comfy pair of slippers from the minute you walk in. It feels homely, has a lovely smell of home-cooked meals, and is spotlessly clean. Sadly Dad passed away in April. The staff were so supportive and we couldn't have gotten through this without them. Dad enjoyed his last few months of life at Carlton Care Home and spent a lot of time singing, which the staff would often join in with. I would like to thank the Manager, and her team for everything they did for Dad and for their dedication, compassion, and care. This is an excellent care home that I would recommend to anybody.
My mother spent three years at Carlton Nursing Home. It provides a homely atmosphere and gives special attention to the likes of the residents. It provides great home cooking and lots of entertainment to keep the residents happy. On a day to day basis it is run by the matron who is vastly experienced in the care sector. Unfortunately, on reaching 94 years, my mother was at end of life. I was able to visit her whenever I wanted and was kept happy with biscuits and coffee! The staff were brilliant. My mother's care was brilliant. The staff talked to her every time they came into her room and at all times treated her with respect and in a way that preserved her dignity. The home kept me informed at all times and took control of the formalities promptly after her death. I would recommend this home most highly.
It was a pleasure looking after Mum.
Should you require any support please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
Thank you again from us all.
My mother was admitted into this care home following discharge from a hospital stroke unit in July 2020, during the first outbreak of Covid-19. It was a very difficult decision to make in a very short space of time due to the pandemic. The care she received during her eighteen-month stay was excellent. The staff were very caring and like a family to her. Her nursing care was excellent in very difficult circumstances, especially during her last few days before she passed away. As we were not allowed full access to visits during her stay, the staff did everything possible for us to be able to have some face to face contact e.g. through windows. I would definitely recommend this home for nursing care.
If there is anything else we can do to support please get in touch.
Wishing you and the family all the best.
