My first impression on seeing Hzaelgrove Care home was excellent. I couldn't believe how many staff were on duty and so welcoming to us my brother was very comfortable and settled which was all new to him and to us. It was a bit overwhelming to see how content he looked, the amount of care given whilst we were there was excellent. The staff are very committed to their care roles and I would certainly recommend Hazelgrove Care Home to anyone looking for a warm, friendly caring home, I am extremely happy with everything and especially for my brother residing there.

I have lived here for some years, but I now feel a lot happier. As we now have a new manager who is making well needed changes and it's a lot better environment for everyone. I said she is the best thing that could have happened to Hazelgrove Care Home.

I have multiple sclerosis and find life very challenging. Hazelgrove Care Home have helped me immensely. I have no family and my husband passed away last July. He was my main carer and so I came into Hazelgrove where I look at the staff and residents as my family now.

We have never seen my wife so happy and safe, the two previous care homes were very poor. It ended with my wife back in the hospital after just one day. She had seven falls in one day and was taken back to hospital where she received one to one care for 24 hours per day. Hazelgrove staff and setting are very secure for my wife.

Hazelgrove is a wonderful care home. My dad was a resident there for 2 and a half year's before he sadly passed earlier this year. The staff at Hazelgrove offered the utmost care and respect and you could tell by my dad's body language that he felt happy and relaxed. The staff were friendly and supportive to my dad and the family. Thank you so much for all that you did for my dad, it means so much!

Both my parents moved to Hazelgrove in June 2016. Sadly, within a few weeks, my dad died as he was quite poorly. The support and kindness we received from the home at the time were second to none. My mum had remained at the home until her death only a few days ago. She has always been happy and very well cared for. We are extremely happy and grateful for everything the home has done for her.

Thank you for the wonderful review, it was an honour to have known and cared for both your mum and dad, and to be there to support yourself in your time of need in what was a very sensitive time. We will always remember your dad's wink and your mum’s smile.

A very nice, friendly home, because of Covid visiting has been limited, and each member of staff has worked so hard.

Although the decor could do with upgrading it's the staff that makes the home with their caring attitude.

After my dad had been in and out of the hospital he soon settled in at Hazelgrove. He seems happy. He likes the food and he likes most of the staff. He always talks about the insulin lady and the chicken lady which make him laugh and makes a fuss of him. Very friendly. When visiting Dad it always has a friendly feel about the place. Smiles all around. Thank you.

Thank you for your lovely comments, pleased to hear Dad has settled. The team work hard to create that home from home friendly feel so it's so nice to hear that you feel that during your visits, it was also good to meet you in person during one of your visits on such a nice sunny day.

My grandmother became a resident a few months before the pandemic struck. Hazelgrove has been amazing keeping the residents happy, entertained and most importantly Covid-free. The staff always greet visitors with a smile and a cheery hello and are always interacting with residents to ensure nobody is alone. The home is well equipped for home essentials, care, fun and activities and the cats and chickens are loved by residents too.

At every visit, it has been obvious that all staff treat every patient and incident with a high level of care, consideration and effort to ensure all parties are comfortable, safe and contented. It is also obvious that a high level of thought and effort is applied to providing highly valuable activities.

My grandma received end of life care after a battle with Alzheimer's. The carers did a fantastic job and were very caring and went over and above what was expected. They made her final couple of months comfortable and we trusted in their care and capabilities.
