Hazelgrove is a purpose-built Care Home set in easily accessible gardens close to the town of Hucknall.

At Hazelgrove residents are cared for in a Homely environment with carers and nurses working alongside the residents, their families and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes.   

Activities at Hazelgrove are varied, ranging from riverboat trips and walks in the park, to karaoke, keep-fit classes, carpet boules and bingo in the main lounge. Residents wanting to relax can enjoy watching the fish in the large tank or can visit the cosy reminiscence lounge lovingly decorated to evoke memories of yester-year.

Resident’s and their families can also enjoy the carefully designed patio garden which includes a sensory garden and reminiscence area – a wonderful, therapeutic feature for those with Dementia.

Other facilities include delicious home cooked meals to suit every diet, visiting hairdresser and chiropodist and much more…

Mum was in Hazelgrove Nursing home for end of life care. The staff and management were brilliant and we were very happy with the care provided. Support for us the family was so extremely good. The staff were very patient, caring and would go the extra mile when necessary. The care home also had a nice
friendly, welcoming feel to it.

My mother was happy at Hazelgrove. The staff were friendly and caring. My mother had dementia and they were so patient and kind, even when occasionally, she was less than co-operative.
She was in the care home less than five years almost and we, her family, were always made to feel welcome and were
kept informed at all times.
In her final week when she was on end-of-life care, their attention to her every need was exemplary. We couldn't have wished for more.

My mum and dad have received wonderful care at the home. All the staff, carers, management, cleaners etc. all work incredibly hard and always go that extra mile. Care is present 24 hours a day with the carers always being prepared to do anything to help the residents. The atmosphere in the home reflects
the wonderful job done by everybody.

Job Title: Registered Home Manager

I have worked in care for over 17 years, in various roles, working my way up to Registered Manager over the years. I believe it’s important to lead by example and to play an effective role within the service making sure we provide a loving and caring environment for our residents.


My work is my passion – it’s more than a job, it’s a way of life. I feel most privileged to be able to make a difference in people’s everyday lives.


Here at Hazelgrove, we want to create a “home from home” where residents, their families and staff live and work together in a family environment.
