For six weeks I had cause to visit my friend on a daily basis. The staff, all staff, were always friendly, cooperative, attentive and above all caring. My friend was happy to be there. She felt safe, listened to and comforted. Thank you Burrswood Care home.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It has been our pleasure to care for your friend. I will of course pass on your kind words to the Burrswood team.
My mother has been very well cared for by the lovely staff at Burrswood, despite some quite challenging moments, I have seen lots of care and affection from the staff towards her, and she is becoming more and more settled there. Her room is lovely, very clean and personal belongings/pictures/furnishings are welcomed. Staff seem knowledgeable, patient and caring. Visitors are made welcome at all times.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your Mum. I will, of course, pass on your kind comments to the Burrswood team.
My Dad stayed at Burrswood for six weeks respite care during October/November 2019 during a difficult time as my Mum, his primary carer, was in hospital and recovering from a major operation. The service from Burrswood staff was outstanding, from start to finish, from initial enquiry, booking, pre-assessment and throughout his stay. All of the staff we encountered were extremely professional and as importantly, very, very kind and compassionate. The level of care was outstanding. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Burrswood Care Home and we are very grateful to all of the staff for their care.
I viewed a number of care homes before selecting Burrswood Care home. So glad this home was the one. From my first visit on, caring staff who go above and beyond. Clean, friendly happy home from home. My husband is happier and more content. He is well cared for and I was encouraged to personalise his room which is spacious, clean and well furnished. My mind is at ease knowing he is happy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. It is very much appreciated and I will happily pass your comments back to the team.
The staff in Dunster Unit were fantastic. They looked after my mum and kept us informed and were very professional.
The food is of a high standard and he always enjoys it, desserts especially. This is the second care home he has been in and I wouldn't want him to be anywhere else.
Thank you so much for your very kind comments about our home and the care we provide. I will be delighted to pass your comments back to my team.
My experience of staff are dedicated, hardworking and caring. I could not wish for my dad to be in a better environment.
Excellent value for money. My dad pays half towards his care bill. Which I am happy with.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of our home and the care that your dad receives from us. I will be very happy to pass your comments back to my team who I agree are a dedicated group of professionals. Many thanks.
This is the most excellent nursing home. We looked at a few care homes for our Mum before coming to Burrswood House and none compared to them. Everyone looks after Mum so well and we never have to worry about a single thing. The staff are wonderful. They are always on hand if you need anything. The Manager at Burrswood is second to none, it's a pity that he is interim. He is completely dedicated to not just Burrswood but also his residents. He is often seen taking the time to chat and even feed the residents when he can. He is the utmost professional. He always takes time with us if we have any questions and you just feel that Mum is in safe hands. Not only do the whole team look after Mum they look after us too. I can’t thank the whole team enough.
I will look forward to passing your kind comments across to my team.
I had recently a meeting at Burrswood Care home to discuss the further care of a friend of mine. I am really impressed with the knowledge and approach of the gentleman who led the meeting. My friend who is also a resident of Burrswood lacks capacity and can not talk or decide for himself. I felt reassured and happier after the meeting, as I know he is in good hands.

I could not have been happier with the care and attention my mum received while in your care. She was happy and relaxed which meant everything to me. I never worried about my mum's care. The staff were so friendly and attentive.

Inside was immaculately clean and on meeting some of the staff, we knew we had chosen the right place. All the team are excellent, caring people. We now have peace of mind knowing mum is so well cared for, settled and happy.
I cannot praise it highly enough.
We could not be more pleased by the treatment received by the staff at Burrswood Care Home and would recommend the home to anyone.
My Father has been a resident at Burrswood since July 2017, during which time he has received excellent care in a first-class establishment with the highest delivery of standards within all aspects. As his health has deteriorated, particularly during this past month, his condition has presented numerous challenges and extreme difficulties, all of which have been overcome and dealt with by the wonderful staff on Peel Unit whilst ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. They are indeed a highly professional and dedicated team and, as a family, we could not ask for or expect anything better for our beloved Dad. Thank you to all - you are very much appreciated and loved!
My mum was in the home for only five months this year and sadly passed away in October from a dementia-related illness. She was so well cared for and the staff made us feel like we were part of the family (we did go every day!). I can't fault any of the staff, from the cleaner to the carers, the chefs, the hostesses and the nursing staff. The admin staff were also always so chatty and welcoming and sometimes that's just what you need when you're having a bad day.
I felt that my mum was loved and cared for with the respect I so wanted her to have, as being in a nursing home was the last place she would have ever wanted to be in her life. Her room was bright and airy, the food delicious and the afternoon tea cakes always a treat.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to people (I already have) to entrust their loved ones with such fabulous caring staff. Thank you all for making a really difficult time in our lives so much more bearable and smooth. Keep up the fabulous work.
So sorry to hear of your loss, please accept our condolences. Thank you for your lovely review and kind words about our staff. I hope that in time to come this will bring you comfort knowing that your mum was so well cared for and loved.
The home is well run with dedicated and professional staff. This review relates to the EMI unit of which I have personal experience but no reason to expect the rest to be different. My mum is well cared for here and I am happy with the choice we made

New lift just installed, quite inconvenient as my dad has been very limited mobility even to use the stair lift. Inconvenient but necessary, so it was cope-able.
New lift very good. Really don't have a bad word to say. If I had to be in a care home in my later years. I would definitely choose Burrswood.

Excellent well run home. Staff always helpful and caring nothing too much trouble. Best possible solution to being at home with support needed but also feeling it is home.

It's wonderful. I'm very happy with my stay here. The food is excellent. The residents are very nice. The carers are all friendly and very helpful.
Very happy with care given to mum. When she moved to Burrswood she had 3 ulcers (2 leg, 1 back), thanks to the nursing care, both leg ulcers are healed and the back ulcer is almost healed. We are very happy with overall care and mum is glad to live at Burrswood. All staff are pleasant and caring at all times.

"Having more than a decade worth of diverse experience as a Registered Nurse across various healthcare settings, I have gained knowledge, skills, and other attributes to help me hone my leadership skills.
I have started my career in the UK when I migrated from the Philippines at the onset of the pandemic. During this unprecedented time, I strived to deliver compassionate care to all of our residents, even extending it to their relatives and especially to my colleagues who gave love and support to everyone in need. I have worked my way up in this industry, starting from being a Staff Nurse then to become a Unit Manager, Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, and finally becoming a Care Home Manager. I am a Transformative Leader who is not afraid of hands-on and direct care and work with my colleagues to ensure that our residents at Burrswood Care Home will have the best quality of life possible.”

I've been with the company for over 20 years. I'm proud to say that I have good relationship with our residents who come through this door. Together with the whole team in Burrswood Care Home, we aim to make sure everyone is well-looked after.
