The managers and all staff cannot do enough for you, they are all wonderful, professional, caring, courteous, polite, friendly, always have a smile and time for a chat, even though they are very busy with the care and needs of the residents. I would definitely without a doubt recommend this care home.

We find Oakbank care home to be the best run home we have been to. The management and staff are great they treat you with respect and it is always clean and well run and the residents are well cared for.
Two of my brothers were residents there one still there. I say its the best.

This care home is very well run. The care staff are amazing with the residents even the cleaning stuff
Are lovely and have chats with the residents there always something to do for the residents.even the lady who dose the game is very friendly and she encourages everyone to join in the activity .the
management are doing a great job always there to help or listen to us and they cart help they will redirect you to some one who can . If i could give more that 5 stars I would. The home is spotless. Even with work being done.

Mum has only been in Oakbank a few week but care mum is receiving is excellent mum had been in another care home for 4 year then went into hospital. We the we decided to look for a new carehome because mum wastn being looked after proporly. We have found mums care at Oakbank excellent. I havent ticked
the activities because mum asnt used this service so couldnt pass comment.

I find the home very pleasant and caring.

I have scored the management as poor, since they have taken over, we have had no contact with them, they do not have a visible presence. So do not communicate with residents or visitors. Also the catering staff do not offer alternative meals, if what is on offer is not suitable for the residents, my
mother informed me she went without lunch one day as it was something she could not eat. This would not have happened with the previous management, alternatives should always be available.

I cannot express how excellent this care home is, the staff go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble for them. They all always have a smile on their face and always have time to answer your questions, even to say good morning and have a good day. They join in with activities and make if fun
and happy for the residents. Such a wonderful lovely place. I would highly recommend it.

The staff at Outbank are outstanding, they go out of their way to aid and assist my Grandad in his daily care. Their care goes beyond the tasks of a job in which they work. My Grandad is their friend. On my Grandparent's wedding anniversary, all the residents were gathered in the lounge for a surprise

The ratings whilst all the same have all been carefully considered and scored as viewed. All staff we have had contact with have been ultra professional, caring and always happy to tell us how my father is managing. Recent improvements in my dad's manner have been incredible. The staff deserve enormous

Oakbank is fantastic. The staff are wonderful and friendly. My room number 6 is so smart, the walls are a lovely colour and my bed has lovely bedding and so comfortable. I'm 87 in August. I have no problems with the food. Also, the visitors are made to feel welcome.

I started as a Theatre Nurse, where I built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and patient-centred care. My journey continued through positions as a Staff Nurse, Deputy Ward Manager, and eventually, Ward Manager at North Manchester General Hospital, where I led the Trauma Orthopaedic Ward with pride and purpose.


Over the years, I’ve become passionate about leading with compassion, supporting staff, and delivering the highest quality care. I enjoy mentoring junior nurses, solving problems, and driving improvements through initiatives like LEEL (Listening, Exploring, Enabling, Leading). My strengths include leadership, team coordination, clinical excellence, and clear communication. As I now step into the next chapter of my career in a Nurse Manager role at Oak Bank, I’m excited to bring my experience, dedication, and love for nursing into a role where I can continue making a meaningful difference.
