The staff at Outbank are outstanding, they go out of their way to aid and assist my Grandad in his daily care. Their care goes beyond the tasks of a job in which they work. My Grandad is their friend. On my Grandparent's wedding anniversary, all the residents were gathered in the lounge for a surprise party! - Amazing care!

My father arrived at this home two weeks ago. On arrival, we were received with a warm welcome. The room was faultless, clean and tidy with curtains and carpet. Plenty of food and rinks. Management approachable. Overall 100%.

Oakbank is fantastic. The staff are wonderful and friendly. My room number 6 is so smart, the walls are a lovely colour and my bed has lovely bedding and so comfortable. I'm 87 in August. I have no problems with the food. Also, the visitors are made to feel welcome.

The ratings whilst all the same have all been carefully considered and scored as viewed. All staff we have had contact with have been ultra professional, caring and always happy to tell us how my father is managing. Recent improvements in my dad's manner have been incredible. The staff deserve enormous credit for this improvement. It's with great appreciation that I am happy to recommend Oakbank.

I visited on 10th March from 12 pm-6 pm. 11th March 10:30 am-12 pm. A short visit so difficult to give a detailed review. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I made a few requests regarding physio exercise and walking in a meeting. TBC after discussions with the Physio Team. my Mum would like to use the toilet as much as possible.

I am content with the care for my mother. My mum has limited capacity and is not interested in activities so I can't really comment on that.

The staff are always friendly, helpful and polite. They really care about their residents and want the best for them. My grandma is bed-ridden, suffers a lot of pain and this can make her quite bossy and stubborn but the staff have got to know her very well and have a laugh and a joke with her and although my gran kept refusing to leave her room and join in the activities and entertainment, they didn't give up on her and kept encouraging her to join in and now she loves it.

The care home is spacious and has good furniture, facilities and decor. The staff are friendly and interact with the residents to suit their needs. The exterior of the building and grounds are very good and it is situated in a quiet location.

Daily activities keep residents in a good state of engagement with a variety of social skills.

The staff at Oakbank Care Home are very welcoming, if you ask for anything they do their utmost to assist. The care and support they give to my mum is great. The food, I have seen being served, has looked very nice indeed with plenty of drinks also being offered. It is lovely to see videos of Mum singing and clapping, joining in with the entertainment on offer.

Kelly GreenJob Title:Residential Care ManagerJoined: 2007

My name is Kelly Green, and I have dedicated over 22 years of my life to the care profession—a journey driven by a deep passion for supporting others. From the very beginning, I knew that working in care was more than just a job for me; it was a calling. Over the years, I’ve grown in experience, compassion, and leadership, and today I proudly serve as the Residential Manager at Unity Homes.

I joined Unity Homes 8 years ago as a Senior Care Assistant. Through hard work, continuous learning, and the support of an incredible team, I progressed to Deputy Manager and eventually into my current role.

Every day in this field brings new challenges and meaningful moments, and I truly believe in the power of teamwork to overcome obstacles and deliver exceptional care. For me, person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that each resident is treated with dignity, respect, and personalised support.

Leading with empathy and dedication, I strive to create a warm, professional environment where both staff and residents can thrive.

My name is Geethu, and I began my career in healthcare after completing a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mahatma Gandhi University. Since 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various nursing roles that have helped me grow both professionally and personally. I started as a Theatre Nurse, where I built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and patient-centred care. My journey continued through positions as a Staff Nurse, Deputy Ward Manager, and eventually, Ward Manager at North Manchester General Hospital, where I led the Trauma Orthopaedic Ward with pride and purpose.

Over the years, I’ve become passionate about leading with compassion, supporting staff, and delivering the highest quality care. I enjoy mentoring junior nurses, solving problems, and driving improvements through initiatives like LEEL (Listening, Exploring, Enabling, Leading). My strengths include leadership, team coordination, clinical excellence, and clear communication. As I now step into the next chapter of my career in a Nurse Manager role at Oak Bank, I’m excited to bring my experience, dedication, and love for nursing into a role where I can continue making a meaningful difference.
