Oakbank Care Home staff were wonderful in looking after my late father in the final two months of his life when he was discharged to there from the hospital. All the staff were above and beyond with the care provided and were so kind and friendly.

My dad came here for two weeks of respite, and all the staff are friendly.

The rooms and halls were kept very clean. Good variety of food.

The care home is clean, the staff are friendly. My father is always presentable when you visit. Due to lockdown this past 18 months, I cannot comment on everything, but I am satisfied with the care home.

Dad was discharged from hospital to this care home and was treated with kindness and dignity and care at all times. Staff were happy for us to call, day or night for updates when unable to visit due to Covid-19. Staff went out of their way to involve us at every stage and kept in constant communication. They were all very lovely and dad felt happy, secure and settled during his time here. Thank you to all involved.

I find the staff and management at Oakbank very caring and helpful especially during the recent "lockdown" due to the Coronavirus outbreak. They have done an excellent job before and throughout the crisis.

Reply from Jagjit Sandher, Operations Director at Oakbank Care Home

It was initially a concern to have to put my father in care. But we were very lucky to find Oakbank for my father's care. They are second to none, they are so caring and thoughtful. I am so reassured at all times that he is being looked after, probably better than we could have ourselves.

Kelly Green
Kelly GreenJob Title:Residential Care ManagerJoined: 2007

My name is Kelly Green, and I have dedicated over 22 years of my life to the care profession—a journey driven by a deep passion for supporting others. From the very beginning, I knew that working in care was more than just a job for me; it was a calling. Over the years, I’ve grown in experience, compassion, and leadership, and today I proudly serve as the Residential Manager at Unity Homes.

I joined Unity Homes 8 years ago as a Senior Care Assistant. Through hard work, continuous learning, and the support of an incredible team, I progressed to Deputy Manager and eventually into my current role.

Every day in this field brings new challenges and meaningful moments, and I truly believe in the power of teamwork to overcome obstacles and deliver exceptional care. For me, person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that each resident is treated with dignity, respect, and personalised support.

Leading with empathy and dedication, I strive to create a warm, professional environment where both staff and residents can thrive.

Geethu BabyJob Title:Nursing Care ManagerJoined: 2023

My name is Geethu, and I began my career in healthcare after completing a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mahatma Gandhi University. Since 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various nursing roles that have helped me grow both professionally and personally. I started as a Theatre Nurse, where I built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and patient-centred care. My journey continued through positions as a Staff Nurse, Deputy Ward Manager, and eventually, Ward Manager at North Manchester General Hospital, where I led the Trauma Orthopaedic Ward with pride and purpose.

Over the years, I’ve become passionate about leading with compassion, supporting staff, and delivering the highest quality care. I enjoy mentoring junior nurses, solving problems, and driving improvements through initiatives like LEEL (Listening, Exploring, Enabling, Leading). My strengths include leadership, team coordination, clinical excellence, and clear communication. As I now step into the next chapter of my career in a Nurse Manager role at Oak Bank, I’m excited to bring my experience, dedication, and love for nursing into a role where I can continue making a meaningful difference.
