The care home is clean, the staff are friendly. My father is always presentable when you visit. Due to lockdown this past 18 months, I cannot comment on everything, but I am satisfied with the care home.

Dad was discharged from hospital to this care home and was treated with kindness and dignity and care at all times. Staff were happy for us to call, day or night for updates when unable to visit due to Covid-19. Staff went out of their way to involve us at every stage and kept in constant communication.
They were all very lovely and dad felt happy, secure and settled during his time here. Thank you to all involved.

I find the staff and management at Oakbank very caring and helpful especially during the recent "lockdown" due to the Coronavirus outbreak. They have done an excellent job before and throughout the crisis.

It was initially a concern to have to put my father in care. But we were very lucky to find Oakbank for my father's care. They are second to none, they are so caring and thoughtful. I am so reassured at all times that he is being looked after, probably better than we could have ourselves.

My mum had to go into a care home because we simply could not cope any more and it was for her own safety as she was falling a lot so needed 24-hour care. We chose Oakbank Care Home because it is in our area. We now have peace of mind, all staff are great. The only problem is her clothes even though
they are all named, they go missing, apart from that a brilliant care home.

Since 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various nursing roles that have helped me grow both professionally and personally. I started as a Theatre Nurse, where I built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and patient-centred care. My journey continued through positions as a Staff Nurse, Deputy Ward Manager, and eventually, Ward Manager at North Manchester General Hospital, where I led the Trauma Orthopaedic Ward with pride and purpose.


Over the years, I’ve become passionate about leading with compassion, supporting staff, and delivering the highest quality care. I enjoy mentoring junior nurses, solving problems, and driving improvements through initiatives like LEEL (Listening, Exploring, Enabling, Leading). My strengths include leadership, team coordination, clinical excellence, and clear communication. As I now step into the next chapter of my career in a Nurse Manager role at Oak Bank, I’m excited to bring my experience, dedication, and love for nursing into a role where I can continue making a meaningful difference.
