My mum has lived in Halifax House since September 2021. On admission, she was not eating/drinking nor living her best life. She moved here from the hospital. Within a few days, she had restarted eating and drinking. She was adamant from the start of her residency she did not want to move anywhere else
and she voiced this to all healthcare workers and social workers who listened. On her passing on 16/07/24 she was well cared for and all the staff came to pay their respects which I found touching. She did not want to move and her wishes were respected. She had a second family there.

My mum went to Ringway Care Home a few weeks ago. She is being assessed at the moment. But hopefully when the assessment is finished.
Mum will be able to stay.
From the beginning of the assessment, the manager and staff have been amazing, informative, and most of all caring towards Mum and her family.
I
cannot praise the home highly enough.
Kind regards.

After staying in two other care homes my dad moved to Ringway Mews. He is now very happy and settled. He has a fantastic relationship with all of the staff who have really made him feel at home and always keep him laughing. The care is very good and the rooms are clean. I would highly recommend it.

I found most of the care staff very patient and caring towards my mum! Also, there were a few staff who stood out in their kindness towards my mum. She loved vanilla ice cream and if she wasn't eating much food, they tried various methods to try to get her to eat. They treated her with humour and kindness
in trying circumstances. As she got more frail, it was the kindness I noticed the most.

From first contact the staff were amazing and knowledgeable. Every member of staff I saw said hello and smiled. The residents looked happy and the environment was clean and did not have that clinical smell. Care has been tailored to my family members needs.

My dad was admitted to Ringway Mews at the end of January 2023.
The management team is fantastic and extremely helpful and understanding.
The nursing assistants and care team are supportive, helpful and extremely kind.
Seeing my dad smile when I visit him every week knowing he's safe and happy is
enough for me.

My dad was admitted just before Christmas. I have nothing but praise for the staff that work in Halifax house. Their patience and professionalism is excellent. It's very difficult to find a home but at last, I feel that my dad is as comfortable as can be expected and, most of all, is safe. Thank you.

Throughout the nine years my wife has been a resident at Ringway Mews, I have been completely satisfied with the treatment she has received.
The staff, from manager down, have always been very helpful with respect if any issues I have raised and I would recommend their hard work and dedication in
respect to keeping the residents happy and comfortable.

My brother has been at Ringway Mews for over a year now and while his condition has deteriorated (not through anyone's fault) and now has to have everything done for him, but they have always adapted to his needs. He is always clean and shaved and there is never any smell in the home. The staff are
always helpful and kind and know where he is and how he has been when we call, even unannounced. They do not leave him in bed but get him up and take him into the community room unless he is very tired.
I would be happy to go there myself when the time comes that I need looking after.

My mum moved here after her old home closed down. I have been really pleased with how well she has settled. The staff are all friendly and seem genuinely caring. Always very well-staffed.
The home itself is a little tired looking and could do with some general maintenance.
Overall, I feel my mum
is safe and well looked after here.

I am writing this review to thank all the wonderful staff in Anson House. My dear mum was a resident for 15 months prior to her death on 15.1.2023. She could not have received better care anywhere. The staff are compassionate and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. She was treated with the greatest
kindness and respect until her final day. I will never forget them.

I'm so glad that my mum chose to live at Ringway Mews when she found it hard living by herself, she is treated with dignity, care and respect by all members of the staff.
In the year she has lived there, her confidence as grown and she calls Ringway Mews her home. She has privacy, but also if the mood
takes her there is also someone to chat with whether staff or another resident.
If you're worried about a relative coming to stay for a while or to live here, please don't. It's an awesome place!

All the staff are attentive and are kind and caring to our dad. His communication is limited and his mobility is very poor so he is unable to engage in any facilities. Now after covid things are getting more normal again and we would like to take dad outside in the fresh air. He hasn't been outside
for over two years.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.591)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.591) out of 10 for Ringway Mews Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 3.983 for Ringway Mews Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (150 Excellents x 5) + (61 Goods x 4) + (34 Satisfactorys x 3) + (17 Poors x 2) + (29 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 291 Ratings = 3.983
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.608 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ringway Mews Care Home is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 150 registered maximum number of service users is 30. 19 Positive Reviews ÷ 30 = 0.633
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
