I was worrying about what would happen in the sad event of my mother's passing. I was invited to a relative's meeting and my concerns were put to rest. I was also given reassurance and contact details for my mother's advocate as her mental capacity is an issue and my mother had concerns over her finances.

The situation was clearly explained to me and again my concerns were alleviated.

My Mum was in Arden Court for 19 months, I was relieved of the stress the moment one of the staff became manager she listened to family concerns, really listened, the atmosphere was so much happier and the staff appeared happier, my family could not have coped without the care for my Mum and my family (Day and night staff) when my Mum reached end of life. Thank you to every one of you.

Overall Experience
My mum-in-law has dementia and is 92 years old after years of managing with carers, nieces and my husband going every day Mum moved in last week in December.
Her needs were more than could be managed.
Her room is sunny and bright always kept clean.
The staff are all just lovely, smiley caring professionals and most of all trust that they are all looking after Mum's best interests.
She has started to eat the meals provided which look fresh and homemade, this in itself is a huge step as getting Mum to eat was a daily battle at home.
She's having her feet and hair done which had all but stopped due to mobility.
It was initially very hard and upsetting to visit as Mum constantly said take me home but the staff have all made her feel so welcome, just recently this has stopped which shows she is happier
We both now sleep at night and my husband at 66 years old has a little time to himself.

Thank you to everyone who takes care of our precious lady we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you all.

My dad spent his final three months at Arden Court. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and professionalism they showed to both him and myself. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff played their part, from keeping his room clean, preparing his meals, ensuring he was showered and shaved, to taking care of all his personal and nursing needs. The nursing team kept me fully informed at every stage of his illness and we worked together to make his stay as comfortable as possible. He had a lovely room with a beautiful view of the gardens where he could watch the birds feed and squirrels chase around playfully.

During his stay the staff became like family who genuinely cared for my dad and me. I felt reassured knowing he was being well looked after. As his health declined, I was allowed to visit my dad as often and whenever I needed to and the care and support from the team continued after my dad passed away. I will always remember Arden Court with such fondness.

All the staff do a top job, nurses always on the go from morning till they go home. Always knock on your door to see if you're ok and need anything if you ask for something and they're busy at that moment they will always come back and try to get the task done.

Overall the care given is of a good standard. I must stress though the weekend does require more staff. No sign of management at the weekend and very hard to get hold of anyone via telephone which is not ideal. The staff are helpful and give a good experience for the residents including entertainment to engage them however more activities to engage the mind are needed! Clean facilities and food are of a good standard.

I have a relative being cared for at Arden Court, and I have experienced nothing but kindness to all the residents there. The way they speak and care for the residents is extremely warmhearted and compassionate. Nothing is ever too much for the staff. Management is very supportive and friendly and shows a real genuine devotion not just to her job but to the residents and all of her staff members. My mother-in-law has been a resident of Arden Court since March 2022. We could not be more pleased with the care provided to her. All the staff are helpful and friendly. She has a lovely room overlooking the gardens and has really settled into her new home. She is looked after really well and enjoys the activities provided. She especially loves her trips out to church or a coffee and this really makes her happy.

We chose Arden Court following a discussion with the manager who was really helpful from the start and reserved a lovely room with a garden view for my mum. During my mum's stay at Arden Court, we have been really pleased with the quality of care. Also, staff go the extra mile to make Arden Court a home from home. They take my mum out and also take her to church. The staff have a common sense and helpful approach which is refreshing. Whenever we call or ask for anything, nothing is too much trouble.

Alina PopescuJob Title:General ManagerJoined: 2021

I embarked on my nursing career following my graduation from Victor Babes University of Medicine in Romania. In 2015, I began my journey in nursing in Northern Ireland.

With a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of care for the elderly, I focused my efforts on general nursing care. In 2021, I reached a milestone by taking on the role of Clinical Lead Nurse. I continued in this position until 2024 when I accepted a new professional challenge by becoming the Home Manager at Arden Court.

My future ambition is to elevate the standards of care, foster a culture of quality, and drive change within the healthcare system.
