My mum was in Appleton Manor until she passed away. The care she received was outstanding. The support we were given was exceptional. I can't thank the team enough for all their support during a difficult time.

We recently accompanied residents on a weekend trip to Blackpool which we all enjoyed and it was a lovely experience for my friend who is a resident. It also opened my eyes to the hard work, love, patience and care given by the carers who came with us, over 24 hour days. The care at this home is excellent
so much so that I volunteer (DBS checked) 2 or 3 times a week. Well done.

Dad has dementia that was gradually worsening, he was starting to be a danger to himself, we decided that it was time for Dad to go into residential care.
We visited a few homes, as soon as we walked in to Appleton Manor, we felt at ease, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us around. They
have several lounges and entertainment rooms. All of the staff have been there for years, they really do care for the residents and their families.
My Dad moved to Appleton Manor January '25.
The staff make you feel that you are part of the "Appleton family" rather than visiting a residential home, they go to great lengths to understand the residents needs and cater for them.
They have a team that organises events, outings and entertainment, to keep residents occupied.
The garden is a lovely place to relax and chat, very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy, Dad likes to water the garden on hot days!
The home is caring, fun, relaxing, engaging and secure for the residents.

Mum moved to Appleton Manor last February due to being admitted to hospital after falling, due to dementia . She is so well looked after by the staff and management. She has her own room which we have made very comfy with her own things. When we were looking for a care home the first thing we asked
was how long the staff have worked there. All the staff have worked there for a long time which told me the staff are very happy there. Mum is well fed with plenty of brews and cake.
She has her hair done and has a podiatrist visit every 6 weeks.
There is also plenty of lounges to relax in and watch tv.

On a beautiful day we were able to sit in the well maintained garden and enjoy a quiz. Everyone joined in it was stimulating and great fun, lots of laughter and memories shared. All members of staff are very resident focused and there is a very real family atmosphere. Residents friends and family are
always treated very well. It is a massive decision to choose to have a family member move to a care home but this has been a really great choice.

In the last 12 months I have never walked into or out of Appleton Manor with anything other than polite smiling faces to greet you. The staff here are wonderful and they work so hard. Anything you may request is seen to without delay. One is informed of any ailemnts or problems that may occur with one's
relative swiftly and my mother loves the food. I truly believe that the person at the helm is the key to this being the nicest place for my mother to be cared for by the lovely hardworking personnel of Appleton Manor. Many thanks to one and all.

As our Mum's dementia had got to the stage of searching for her forever home, I looked at a few care homes in and around the Stockport area, and after visiting Appleton Manor, my Sister and I both agreed that Appleton Manor was the care home she would be looked after. After over 12 months I am so pleased
we chose Appleton Manor, the care team, the staff and management have been amazing, all are very approachable and have a professional, friendly manner. They have been always available to answer any questions I may have had in the last year or so. I really cannot think of any problems in mums year here. Thank you Appleton Manor.

Staff can't do enough. They are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms clean and warm. Food is lovely and plenty full. When weather permits the residents are either in the garden to things or being take out. (Knitting club,shopping,bingo). They even have entertainment for the resident to get involved
with eg sing along, excise club even a local farm bring in the animals to the residents to meet and a local school children read to the residents.

My Father-in-Law moved to Appleton Manor late 2024, it became quickly apparent that this is an outstanding care home, all of the staff seem to have worked there for many years, they are passionate about providing the best level of care for the residents.
The residents are treated with patience and
understanding allowing them to retain their dignity.
The administration and management of the home is outstanding.
There is entertainment provided to keep the residents alert and engaged, again the team is fantastic.
There is a games room, common areas for residents, there is also a "quiet room" where residents who want to relax can go.
The garden is a great space where residents can get some fresh air on a nice day with plenty of activities to keep them engaged.
The whole place is like a community where residents and their love ones can feel comfortable and looked after.
I cannot speak highly enough about Appleton Manor and the care that is provided.

My grand father moved here very recently due to on going health conditions in hospital. I was very worried to find the right home for him. Every one I spoke to recommended to try and get him in this home. I managed to with the help of the kind and caring management from this home. Everybody is so caring
and polite the home is very warming and do everything to include residents in daily task/activities. Nothing is too much for the staff they go above and beyond its like 1 big family. In such a very short space of time we feel our grandad has settled very well and feels part of the family there already. This was the best decision we made and I wouldn't look anywhere else. it feels like home from home which is what it should feel like.

My mum has been at Appleton Manor for just over 3 years.
We have worked closely with the carers and managers and feel supported and listened to.
The home is clean and warm and in the summer every effort is made to keep the residents safe and cool.
The carers work well together and keep us updated
with any concerns or issues and share what has gone on throughout the day.

This is a wonderful care home. The staff are fantastically caring to the residents. They are very thoughtful, considerate and exceptionally hard-working. They look after all the residents and respond professionally to any emergencies/health challenges. And they create a very warm, supportive and
positive environment. The rooms are nice and the food is enjoyed. They go above and beyond in terms of providing activities and encouraging families and friends to participate. My dad is very content there, the door is always open to families and we never have to worry about how he is being looked after. You sometimes hear such horror stories in the media about care homes. Appleton Manor is the opposite, I feel very lucky that my dad lives in such a great place and has such wonderful people looking after him. Thank you for all you do.

Impressed with the level of dedication of all the staff to their roles at all levels. The entertainment varied and well thought out, excellent. Always a pleasant atmosphere in the home, staff a caring and thoughtful and work hard. Residents always appeared to be content and settled. Homely atmosphere,
some areas of the home could do with some refurbishment.

Good Evening - my uncle has spent the last 12 months of his life at Appleton Manor Care Home and sadly passed away at the beginning of December.
My dad has dementia (identical twins) and the staff at Appleton Manor have always been so fully supportive of my mum and dad as they always kept them updated
with regards to any treatment and how he was feeling (this was in between visits). They have also been a great sounding board for my mum.
In a nutshell, we so wish we could transfer this care home to our area with all the staff, as we know how attentive, caring and empathic they are.
The rooms are immaculate and really do feel home from home.
We are so happy that he passed in such a lovely, caring environment and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Appleton Manor Care Home to everyone who needs that extra special touch.

Amy has worked in the care industry since the age of 18 years old and has gained a wealth of knowledge in providing care and support to people, to enrich their lives. She is a dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Amy joined Appleton Manor as Home Manager as she shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Appleton Manor.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Amy remarked: “I enjoy going into work each day and getting to spend quality time with my Residents.”


Away from work, Amy likes to spend quality time with her friends and family and describes her greatest achievement as being a mum.
