My mum has been at Appleton Manor for just over 3 years.
We have worked closely with the carers and managers and feel supported and listened to.
The home is clean and warm and in the summer every effort is made to keep the residents safe and cool.
The carers work well together and keep us updated with any concerns or issues and share what has gone on throughout the day.

We are grateful to have found this care home and know our mum will be cared for and loved.

This is a wonderful care home. The staff are fantastically caring to the residents. They are very thoughtful, considerate and exceptionally hard-working. They look after all the residents and respond professionally to any emergencies/health challenges. And they create a very warm, supportive and positive environment. The rooms are nice and the food is enjoyed. They go above and beyond in terms of providing activities and encouraging families and friends to participate. My dad is very content there, the door is always open to families and we never have to worry about how he is being looked after. You sometimes hear such horror stories in the media about care homes. Appleton Manor is the opposite, I feel very lucky that my dad lives in such a great place and has such wonderful people looking after him. Thank you for all you do.

Impressed with the level of dedication of all the staff to their roles at all levels. The entertainment varied and well thought out, excellent. Always a pleasant atmosphere in the home, staff a caring and thoughtful and work hard. Residents always appeared to be content and settled. Homely atmosphere, some areas of the home could do with some refurbishment.

Good Evening - my uncle has spent the last 12 months of his life at Appleton Manor Care Home and sadly passed away at the beginning of December.
My dad has dementia (identical twins) and the staff at Appleton Manor have always been so fully supportive of my mum and dad as they always kept them updated with regards to any treatment and how he was feeling (this was in between visits). They have also been a great sounding board for my mum.
In a nutshell, we so wish we could transfer this care home to our area with all the staff, as we know how attentive, caring and empathic they are.
The rooms are immaculate and really do feel home from home.
We are so happy that he passed in such a lovely, caring environment and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Appleton Manor Care Home to everyone who needs that extra special touch.

Thank you again so much for everything. You have made a big difference in helping our family and we wish you all a Merry Xmas.

Appleton Manor Care Home provides an excellent environment for my mum. The staff interactions with my mum are excellent. They always communicate any issues, concerns etc in a professional and timely manner. They always strive to improve the experiences for my mym and have vastly improved the social activities which are excellent. I appreciate that they also organised a priest so my mums religious practices could be met.

After two hospital stays in quick succession and a rapid decline my lovely dad needed a higher level of care than his previous care home could provide. After much research and several visits to various other facilities, we knew as soon as we arrived at Appleton Manor that we had found the perfect home for Dad to rest and, we hoped, recuperate. I cannot thank the staff and management enough for their care and professionalism. His room was lovely, so much so that some of his final words were him saying he loved the 'hotel in Portugal' that we had taken him to! Sadly Dad left us only two weeks and two days into his stay. Again, the kindness and compassion shown by everyone was incredible and we can never thank them all enough. Dad was where he needed to be in his final days, for which we will be eternally grateful.

The home has been a caring and supportive residence for my mum-in-law for the last four years. This has been of great comfort to my wife knowing that her mum is safe and well cared for. The staff have always engaged with us and Mum and the experience until her passing has been excellent in very challenging times.

I can't thank Appleton Manor enough for helping Mum settle in. The manager is so approachable, the cleaning staff (immaculate rooms), the catering team presenting pureed food so beautifully, the laundry team not only helping me find items of clothes when Mum first moved in but chatting to her and making an effort to engage with Mum. The nursing team are so confident and lovely. The activities lady is exceptional too. Lots of little things that amount to a lot. Feel lucky we have Mum here.

My sister was admitted to the home in May 2019 and she passed away in December 2021. In all the time she was in their care I have found all the staff to be outstanding. Her care was very good. Not only that, they showed such care and respect to me. Always had smiles on their faces and I felt confident that she was being looked after very well.
