The facility provides first-class 24 hour nursing and expert care for people with dementia in their Memory Lane Community and also offer a brand new premier facility known as The Ashwood Suite with larger, more luxurious rooms.

The entire staff at Arbour Court are, without exception, brilliant, caring, professional, always cheerful and above all compassionate. They treat my husband with respect at all times and ensure he still has his dignity. The general manager and finance manager have been nothing but helpful. Although
the fees are high, the home is good value for money because it gives the family peace of mind that our loved one is receiving the best of care. I cannot fault the home in any way. I would thoroughly recommend Arbour Court to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

When my wife needed end-of-life treatment, my daughter and I visited Arbour Court. We were so impressed! The building was bright and clean and the staff warm and friendly. When my wife moved in, her room was nicely decorated, with good lighting and little touches, like photo frames provided. During
all my visits over 5 weeks, I never saw residents treated with anything other than compassion and respect. My wife's team of carers were so caring and good-humoured, forming a lovely, even affectionate relationship with her and the family. A wonderful team of medical staff monitored her condition regularly and she received effective medication to control pain and distress. Her family and friends were also very well looked after; we could not have asked for better.

Caring for my mum was an isolating experience - she looks well - she looks young - in shops & cafes, people had no time or patience for her & that experience isolated us both. Since Mum moved to Arbour Court, I no longer feel alone. I have 20/30 other people around me who understand and care! I became
isolated from friends & family, & now I feel we've all become part of an extended family. The caring environment has benefited us all. Allowing residents to live with their dementia - live in their world is commendable - thanks.

My friend moved into Barchester Arbour Court Care Home just over two years ago and I have visited her most weeks since then. On every occasion, my friend has been very well cared for, well-presented, comfortable and as I would here for her.
Staff on every occasion have been friendly, helpful and supportive,
that includes all staff, those on reception, cleaners, nursing staff.

I just want to thank all the staff at Barchester Arbour Court Care Home. My husband has been there a long time now. When I go to visit him, the staff are all lovely, pleasant and I really feel they care for me as much as my husband. The home is beautiful and my husband is spotlessly clean even though
he's bedridden. Very high regards to this place.

I would like to thank all the management and staff for looking after my best friend, they are all caring and will do anything they can to make the residents feel at home and at ease. It is a lovely care home, very clean and the lounges are very pleasant to sit in, the residents' rooms are lovely, meals
are very nicely cooked and served with staff on hand to help others who need it.
Plenty of entertainment and gardens for them to sit out in the nice weather.
Would definitely recommend Barchester Arbour Court Care Home, one of the nicest homes I have visited.

Wonderful home for my mum, lovely caring staff, lovely food with option for my mother to choose from.
Clean and tidy and smells lovely, great activities offered to everyone with each individual need in mind.

My mum is a resident at Arbour Court and after a very daunting experience looking for a nursing home for Mum, I felt a huge relief from the moment I walked into Arbour Court.
My only worry was Mum wouldn’t get a place. Thank God she did.
The whole atmosphere is caring, the staff are exceptional and
treat residents like their family. In fact, it is one big family. Compassion, care, and interest in each resident is carried out in a professional calm and friendly manner by all staff.
Management is outstanding and a credit to Barchester.
Thank you Arbour Court for helping our family to feel more at ease with Mum in a home, knowing she is receiving outstanding care.

My father has been a resident since 2018. As someone who had no faith and trust in care homes, I can honestly say Barchester Arbour Court Care Home is amazing.
The staff are beyond wonderful, caring and will do anything for you.
Residents are treated with respect and as one of the family.
In the
last few weeks, upon my father's deterioration, it has been care on another level, they have made Dad and my family so comfortable, always providing refreshments, updates and friendly support and the ultimate care package to ensure Dad's last few days are as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
I can’t thank the team enough and wouldn’t have a qualm recommending them as ‘simply the best’, you’re all amazing!

We would wish to thank the manager and all the staff who worked tirelessly to make Armed Forces Day a huge success.
Our special thanks goes to the activities coordinator who facilitated this special event on behalf of the residents and their families.
The singer was in fine voice, with the residents,
as they remembered special moments with their loved ones and friends with the song, "We'll Meet Again". And meet again they certainly did; he met his old school chum from Tintwistle. Who has made his home at Arbour Court Care Home, Buxton Lane, Marple.
People danced, waltzes, marched and waved flags. The whole event was followed by a delicious high tea, sandwiches, cream cakes and glasses of Prosecco (non-alcoholic) toasted the special day. We then all retired to the garden. To witness a beautiful rose tree being planted by a veteran of the Royal Signals Regiment and another veteran of the Royal Navy. What a terrific day! Hip, hip, hurray. Thank you.

My name is Lisa and I’m the General Manager here at Arbour Court Care Home.


I have worked for the NHS and Care Home sector for almost 12 years as a Registered General Nurse, Nurse Manager, Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead.


The Care Home sector for me is the most rewarding and satisfying and I feel it’s where I belong and thebe.


I appreciate being a part of the dementia journey not only caring for the residents but also getting to know the families, working alongside the staff to make a positive difference in people’s lives and ensuring that those live as comfortably as possible within our home.

Hi, I am Costa and I am the Head of the Chestnut Unit here at Arbour Court.


I graduated from nursing school in 1990 in Romania and worked as a paramedic in my country and gained experience in nursing in Israel.


We offer dementia care here at Arbour Court and I am responsible for supporting staff to ensure that we provide a high standard of care to residents.

I joined the team as the administrator at Arbour Court in May 2020. I have many years of experience in administration and accounts and achieved the qualifications in NVQ Levels two and three in business and administration. Even though it is a very busy environment, I love the challenge of the role. I love to care for the staff and families, primarily in the financial part of the role.
