Bamford Grange Care Home

Arrived to see my great-aunt today and was assisted from the front door right to her bedroom door. The staff member was polite and helpful and offered tea and coffee on arrival. My great aunt was settled in bed, comfy and settled. I asked the staff to assist my great aunt with personal care which they did with no waiting. Lovely place.

No home is perfect. The staff do a difficult job. The care and kindness given to my husband are very good. The food is freshly cooked and appears to be of a high standard. My husband's room is kept clean. The lounge/dining room is very pleasant. Most important of all, the staff treat my husband with kindness and consideration.

Mum settled in quickly and obviously feels safe and secure. The staff even though busy will always answer questions or help if needed. Initially, we had a few issues with Mum feeding herself but that was soon sorted but once staff spoke to us about Mum's needs, what she likes etc. There's just one observation, the cups the residents use (plastic) look dirty-they're probably not but the appearance isn't nice. Lovely social rooms, bright and airy, feels like home.

I have worked in nursing homes but this one is superior to the care and attention of the residents. My husband is in this one and I'm so glad he is here, I go home with a piece of mind knowing he is going to be fine.

Two staff members changed my mum with me in the room, very professional and very good to my mum. Cleaned my mum well, both were brilliant. One staff member spends a lot of time with Mum, he is an excellent nurse. The care home is very clean. Mum doesn't eat much now but she is happy. Thank you to all.

Staff have always been unfailingly pleasant despite having to cope with a very difficult individual. My brother was able to live quite an independent life but I am immensely grateful for the structure of the care home as he was totally unable to cope living on his own. I have very little day-to-day contact apart from a weekly delivery of newspapers/magazines and groceries so cannot comment more fully.

People are very, very helpful and friendly.

I moved Mum into Bamford Grange Care Home as her residential home could not provide the nursing care she needed. Since Mum has been here (only two weeks), she is so content, always clean and dressed in her own clothes ( this didn't always happen in a previous care home). The staff always come to us for updates and to make sure we are happy with Mum. As a registered nurse, I can say the staff I have met are caring, sensible and hard-working. They go the extra mile for Mum.

My mum has been here for a few years now. She has been looked after very well. The staff are very friendly.

All the staff are extremely helpful, very efficient and it is a pleasure to be a visitor. This care home is outstanding - a credit to every member of staff.

I would like to let it be known that the home has improved greatly since the new manager has started at Bamford Grange. The general cleanliness and organisational standards have improved greatly and all staff are helpful and friendly and do their best to make both residents and their families welcome and happy. I am glad my aunt is able to stay there and is content to do so. Thank you to everyone!

I think the carers go way beyond their duty they are very kind and so helpful. My husband is very well looked after and also he is always very clean. I could not ask for more.

Dad came to Bamford Grange Care Home in July 2021 for palliative care. He settled in very quickly and got on really well with the carers and nurses in Buckingham Unit. This made such a difference to me and my siblings, knowing he was happy to be there, safe and being well cared for. During his stay Dad turned 80 and it was his wish to have a birthday celebration at my house with all his grandchildren around him - staff at Bamford Grange went above and beyond to ensure this happened and he had a great day. Thanks to the excellent care he received we had Dad with us for an extra 11 months - a lot longer than we expected. In Dad’s final weeks the staff were so patient with him, taking time out of their busy day to sit with him and reassure him (especially the wonderful nurse we had on the unit at that time). We can’t thank the staff in Buckingham enough - not only were they kind and caring to Dad, they also were with us when we visited. I can’t recommend this Care Home enough.

The care is wonderful for my husband. His needs are met every day. He is warm and cosy (his words) and has settled. Thank you all in Bamford Grange.

I was delighted to speak to one of the sisters today, 23rd May 2022 and pass on the positive change I have witnessed in staffing numbers which contribute to the effective safe running of the care home with a good positive impact on both staff and patients.

The staff on Buckingham have gone out of their way to care for Dad and his complex needs. Dad found it difficult to adjust to life in a care home, but the staff have bent over backwards to make him feel comfortable and cater to his needs.

I am very happy with the care provided for my mum. My mum is happy and content, and I feel relaxed knowing that my mum is being looked after so well. All nurses and carers go above and beyond in their care and support.

My mother can be very challenging, but the staff are extremely patient, understanding and caring. I cannot fault the regular staff at all, in particular, two members of staff on the Winsor unit. They act in the best interests of my mother and always communicate with me.

Mum has been here for over 6 years and has received nothing but the best care and attention from all concerned. We are so grateful for what they have done (especially in the last 2 extremely difficult years) for Mum.
