It is very good and in services. Staff are very good.
In these difficult times, we have been kept informed of what we need to do in order to visit our relatives. It's been hard all around for everyone.
I'm very happy with the care my mum receives. She gets on very well with the staff and they do an amazing job at looking after her and keeping us up to date on her wellbeing. They have managed lockdown visits extremely well under difficult circumstances and we're very grateful for the professional way it's been handled.
Staff are helpful and readily give answers when questions are raised. Security and safety was uppermost in their minds during lockdown. Daily activities have always been planned for residents to take part in, their circumstances being taken into consideration.
I have visited on two occasions this month. The staff were very keen to accommodate my visits as I live over 200 miles away. They had my mother ready in good time, in the lounge for my window visit. Mum smiled all the time. She is really thriving. The second visit was via the pod. Again Mum was very well prepared, knew what to expect, was relaxed and comfortable. Sound quality between petition very good, Surroundings were excellently cleaned and flowers on each side of the pod in vases. Very nice visit, thanks to all staff!
The new visitor pod is an excellent facility.
We are so happy with the care received. All staff are very caring and friendly and our relative has been very happy. The measures taken to try and keep families together during the pandemic have been wonderful and much appreciated.
All have been helpful, caring and compassionate and extremely understanding.
I feel reassured that our Mum will and is getting the best possible care.
Thank you, Newlands and all the staff who work there.
The resident is well cared for and looked after however she has advised us her TV hasn't worked for months and she is cold at night as there has been no quilt on her bed for a couple of years. It is hard on the family with limited contact due to Covid, but we understand the rules.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. We would like to apologise for any upset this may have caused. The bedroom has been reviewed and we have ensured the TV is in working order; the aerial needed retuning and is now working...
My friend has been in Newlands for 2 years and has had excellent care. The staff are always welcoming and friendly when we visit. During the Covid 19 pandemic, I have been kept up to date with my friend.
Mum had a good friendship with her carers and nursing staff. Mum's face would light up when she saw her carers; which I felt spoke volumes. They all knew her very well and were able to identify if she was becoming unwell or just not her usual self. The staff were caring, friendly and very efficient.
It was not an easy decision to move our Mum to Newlands Care Home, but I know it was the best decision. The care and friendship she received from staff made it possible for us to move from her carers to just being family.
I would like to thank the staff who cared for our Mum, for making the time she had with you a happy time.
This is a warm, welcoming, caring home with much to offer. The facilities are top-notch, the food is excellent and the carers are all very friendly and caring. There are activities organised for residents every weekday morning and afternoon to stimulate them mentally and physically. It has rescued my mum from a point where she was spiralling downwards quickly and we are so glad we found it.
My mum came to Newlands for respite care for one week after a minor fall. She had deteriorated in health since my dad died last May and unfortunately sustained a previous leg injury. Mum took a few days to adjust but I really saw a difference, she ate very well - the food is excellent, and made some friends. Her leg was dressed regularly. She relaxed and I had peace of mind - a big thank you to the kind carers who looked after her.
My dad received the best care myself and my brother and sister could have hoped for. He was treated with care, attention and respect. The staff also made us feel completely at home there when visiting and that no query or request was a problem. It’s set in a lovely area of Manchester with plenty of shops nearby. The building and the rooms were lovely and cosy. I highly recommend this care home.
A lovely Care home. My dad is happy and all his needs catered for. It is hard to have a loved one in care but the staff here are so kind caring and responsive. I work in the NHS myself and know the challenges of the roles these staff have. Just want to say a big well done to you all. Keep it up.
It's a pleasure to walk through the door to visit Mum.
I felt at home in Newlands, and because of the hotel like accommodation I felt on holiday too. The best of both worlds effectively. I found the staff caring, professional, and happy to help. I enjoyed the food, the menu choices. If I ever need respite care again I would hope there are vacancies. Thank you to all the staff.
My father was a resident at Newlands Care Home in Stockport for approximately six months up until his death in May 2019. The care he received there was exemplary - particularly from one on the Beaches suite. His last days were extremely difficult and everything was done to make him as comfortable as possible. The staff were excellent, both in their care of my father and their support for the family. Thank you.
I booked in for postoperative convalescence for the reassurance of having trained staff on hand 24/7 and not to have to do any cooking and my stay at Newlands perfectly fulfilled both objectives. The staff were all very helpful and the accommodation was luxurious I have already recommended it to my friends.
With all the contact I had with The Beeches, Newlands Care home I found the staff very able to deal with my question and helpful and efficient.
